Sticks were crunchy and shrimp was grilled and really good. We were seated after about 45 minutes, and sat down in the dining area. The salads were somewhat small, and they gave us 2 dinner rolls. Not sure if we could ask for additional rolls or not. I would say the salads were okay but nothing special. Wife ordered broasted chicken and I had the boneless big rib-eye steak. Both of us got the broasted potatoes. I liked my steak, wife thought the chicken was okay. The decor of the place is definitely retro like being in a big basement with paneled walls. The wait staff was efficient but not necessarily friendly. I think it was getting close to closing (8pm), so we felt a little rushed. Would I go back again? Yes, because I really liked the good. Even on a busy Saturday night, we easily found parking in their large lot. We entered the packed bar and followed the time honored tradition of checking in our party with our helpful bartender. We learned to set up our menus when we were ready to order. That put us in a prime position to order drinks. We ordered drinks before dinner and returned after dinner for a dessert drink. In both cases the drinks were well made and reasonably priced. When we were sat for our meal, there was a relish tray. It was enough for our party but looked silly on the oversized tray. Being a salad bar fan, I missed it. However, the soup of the day was very good. Those who had salads were satisfied by the size and quality of the salad. Our group exclusively picked off the combo menu. The portions were nice sized and everyone said their meal was appropriately hot. The ribeye was well seasoned and cooked as ordered. It was delicious. Now for the star of the night I got the garlic stuffed fillet. When I say it was outstanding, that is an understatement. The steak was perfectly done, and the Demi glaze was indescribable. The beefy flavor with a splash of burgundy (totally guessing) was incredible. The scallops were lightly crispy on the outside and done to perfection on the inside. Again not one complaint.
