I scheduled an appointment last week to have the oxidation buffed out of my 3 year old camper…read more I had done part of the back myself , decided my schedule was too full to go further and to go ahead and give my business to a local pro to finish the job. To start with I was told they'd be here at 7-7:30 am. A couple of younger guys showed up around 8:30. I was willing to over look that part even though no one called or apologized for the tardiness after I had to wait longer than planned to meet them before I could leave for work. So anyway , I spent a few minutes showing the guys a 2 foot by 8 foot section of the back where I had successfully buffed out the oxidation myself and wanted the rest to look this way. Fast forward to the afternoon..... After getting home , I was extremely disappointed to find that no oxidation had been removed and the problem has been made worse by the fact that they applied wax over the top of the oxidation. Now , what I have is oxidation with a shine to it??? Really?? After calling the owner, Justin, he tried to tell me that the oxidation could not be removed. What? Is there not a huge area of the back, which is the worst area facing the sun, where I already buffed out the oxidation myself? ... ( Using a cheap buffer and some oxidation remover ) Even if that were the case I would have preferred a phone call right away stating that "hey, we're having a hard time getting this off, what would you like us to do? " At which point I could have told him " thanks for your time , I'll have my wife give you a few bucks for your trouble" and I could begin a new search for someone who knows what they are doing or just continue on my own. I never heard from anyone that they were running into trouble. On top of that the , Justin , the "owner" was extremely unprofessional in his handling of the situation. Kept calling me " Dude" and telling me how he " doesn't have time for this crap " Before hanging up on me. He had also mentioned his guys called him that they were having trouble , that they couldn't get it off. At that point, they should have stopped. Someone evidently made the call to slap some wax on it , get the money and run. Now , not only am I out the $500 cash they ran off with , I have blotchy wax job AND oxidation that has to be fixed. What a waste of time and money , plus the extra work this has created.

Adam came out and did such a great job I made an appointment for my 2012 Challenger. The Acura is the family car so it gets a lot more use and I was impressed how much it looked like new afterward, particularly the interior. My Challenger is black and I wanted to have the swirl marks in the clear coat buffed out. Even though I take it through Wash N Roll at least four times every week and thoroughly clean the interior two or three times per month I wanted a full detail to give it that almost like new appearance the Acura had. Completely different experience. First, I had made a morning appointment and I got a request from Adam a couple days beforehand to ask me to change it to the afternoon to accommodate another client, which I did even though it wasn't as good for me. When he arrived he indicated he wasn't that sure he was going to be able to wax the swirl marks out like other detail places can. He said he'd give it his best shot but wouldn't charge me for the wax if he couldn't. I didn't reveal it but I wasn't thrilled to hear this worrying this might be a waste of my time. He then gave me a time frame of how long it should take him to get the exterior detailed. I reminded him I wanted the full detail and he seemed surprised, but said he'd do it. About two hours later he knocked on the door to say he was done. He didn't do the interior detail. I printed this out, and that it was getting close to when I had to leave to catch my daughter's volleyball game. Twenty-five minutes later he knocked again. I inspected the car, and while it looked clean, that was it. Not only did the interior not looked "detailed" (just vacuumed and wiped down, exactly how it does after I spend about 10-15 minutes on the interior at Wash n Roll) I noticed my rims were still dirty. When I pointed it out to him, he replied (thinly veiling his annoyance) "Well I thought your main concern was the waxing". I had told him no less than three times I wanted the exact same service he'd done on the other car PLUS waxing. He went back to work for a bit but I had to cut it short or I was going to miss my kid's game. Adam did give me a discount, but my car looked no better in any way than it does after I spend a half hour at the car wash. Money totally wasted. Furthermore, there is white wax residue all over my car. It's going to take me at least an hour to get it all off. I would not recommend Southern Touch.

And this is coming from a disastrous spill over the holidays when I was feeling very Ho Ho Ho and bringing Egg Nog lattes to an office when one ENTIRE large spilled all over my passenger seat and carpet.
