I had a meeting at this WeWork office last week. I've only been to one other WeWork location and it was about 3 years ago. This one is very spacious and clean with really high ceilings and cool light fixtures. We were in a private room that she pre-booked and the room was available when we booked it, so we didn't have to wait. The room was sparse and small, but pretty quiet and we got our meeting done. They had coffee and snacks available, and I did grab a cup of drip coffee, which was pretty good for drip. Also worth mentioning was the chairs, which were really comfortable. As far has I know from my single day visit, this building is majority WeWork as you need to be able to swipe in to access the front door. The security guard managing the front desk was fast asleep, so technically you probably could sneak in, which is no bueno. The highest floor was the 17th floor, with their front desk on the 8th floor. There's not really any good views, even from the 17th floor. The constant need to scan your card at every turn of each corner is obsessive and annoying. Other than that, it's a great location, many floors to do work, and they offer complementary coffee and various drinks on each floor. read more

Tickets stay open for excessive amounts of time for very simple requests. A small update to this review: The ticket that I had opened for more than 2.5 weeks to get my access card to work on the Madison Ave. elevators (which are never as crowded as the 28th St. elevators) with the staff was actually solved by my network Admin in 2 days where as I was given excuse after excuse from the WeWork support team. A second update: To WeWork's management's credit, they did stop by to apologize and explain what the issue was. We came to an agreement that they should have communicated the issue in a more seamless way. Let's see how they respond to any issues going forward. A third update: Beware of the actual multi-room office spaces. They have motion sensors that automatically shut the lights off after 10 minutes and they do not seem to be very sensitive so the lights will go off constantly unless the person who sits next to it happens to be in the office. The staff is consistently changing. When they do change staff they never say goodbye to anyone, no get together celebrating their work. I don't know, maybe I've been spoiled at other WeWorks but it was weird to come in once a month and see a new person without intro, rhyme or reason and never see someone again without "hey WeWork, help us wish this person the best at..." rolling into my notifications. They're pretty responsive if you email. Other than that. Visit them on 8 if you need anything. Sometimes you're not informed of a package arrives. The entrance is a bit odd as there's no WeWork staff there but I've seen that in other buildings as well so it's not specific to this one. Lots of people, not many are friendly but they're around. Elevators are SLOOOOWWWWW.... I mean molasses slow, you'd sooner give birth assuming conception was today than you would succeed in get inside that elevator at a normal pace.... Glorified ancient building w/some rooms and free coffee. Keycards: you need a working keycard to turn nearly every corner within this office. Seriously, there are doors at the corners of hallways that you have to badge through to turn the corner. This might not be a huge deal if the keycards they give members worked on a consistent basis. But guess what, they don't. My team has been here for two weeks and every single day multiple members spend time with the staff working out why their keycard suddenly won't get them through any of the main badge points, or, even worse, through the door to our own room. My question is this. In the case of a fire, would they think to, and BE able to, disable all of the badge-points so that the 40% of members whose keycards are inevitably not working that day can get out quickly and safely? This place feels like a Triangle Shirtwaist Factory waiting to happen. As for other important items, such as wifi - the other day I was actually on a demo with prospective clients, seated in a 'call room,' when the wifi just fully cut out. I had to remove myself and all of my belongings from the room and relocate and try to reconnect. I was offline for over a minute.. embarrassing. And don't even get me started on the elevators. read more

This is by far the worst we work building ever so as soon as you get into the building which is 27 East 28th Street you agreed it by someone who has no education background and the person has no experience the person won't be able to help you if you're coming to rent a desk for the day or for the week the person downstairs will not know how to help you and should I describe the management they're so cold did she not to care at all about the members if you do not measure up to the ratings then they will charge you triple the rate to remove you I was working here for 3 years and for 3 years the management team at this wework was awesome the address issues their address and your problems and they generally cared I've had members come downstairs to talk to me about how cold the management team is on the 8th floor in one instance a person came upstairs to meet a lawyer who had who was a member of the building when she asked him how come the lawyer has not come down to the 8th floor to meet her to escort her to the floor the person was asked to leave rudely actually leave these people have no experience dealing with the public I can't understand why we work will put these people as management for this building what I like to tell you is this if you have a small business or business and you need the building space do not go to nomad we work 79 Madison Avenue and 27 East 28th Street the perfect building you can go to it's 16 East 34th Street management there cash for people so much plus I worked there for 5 years this place is a waste of time for you it will cost you money and time I love we work but this place I do not love before getting a membership to this building ask the members who work there they will let you know all about the issues that have been going on for the past year and a half management that was there before we're doing a such a better job the building has a problem because they're not able to keep members who pay for office space so I recently called we worked and they are now closing this building every business that's in there will have to move somewhere else read more

Nice space with nice common areas and free coffee/beer tap even if you visit a friend. This is an up and coming business and it's done well. The facility is clean and the cubicles are arranged in a modern fashion. If you're looking for a work space it's a great way to meet people. Cubicles are 750 a month normally so it would be like renting another apartment but potentially worth it! read more

Went to this location for a Sofar Sounds event (live music). It was very spacious and bright. I loved how it was set up, very modern, with a full kitchen and everything. If I ever needed a creative workspace--I would definitely consider this location. read more

I need to be fair and give WeWork some credits for this - after writing my last whiny review on Yelp, two guys came to my office to inspect and then came back to fix a hole in a window in my office. Now, I can come over to work on the weekend without feeling frozen and uncomfortable. Bravo for the improvement! read more

I've worked at a few Co-Working spaces in my day and this one is really something else. It's such an amazing environment. The managers really take care of you and do everything in their power to help your business succeed. There are constantly events going on to better educate you on different topics and a LOT of free food . The best part is that it's relatively cheaper than any other co-working space. I can't imagine there being a better co-working space in NYC, that's how much I've enjoyed my now 6 month stay at WeWork Nomad. The community is dynamic and the energy is incredible. WeWork Nomad has been incredible for me and my startup, Project Expedition. We have been in the Labs space for almost a full year now and the experience has been all positive. Connections to investors, reliable and consistent access to resources and facilities, events and social gatherings... you name it and they have worked to make it happen. I personally have to give a lot of this credit to Alex Loss who manages the Labs space and who has gone out of his way on numerous occasions when I have had to make special requests. read more

I Love this place. I have been working out of this office space for only 3 months. Some people think I work for the building because I know all the staff's names. That is only because they Rock!
