Within the DMV there are offices in the following cities: DC, Bethesda, Tysons, Ballston, and Alexandria. I talked to Jarrod, the community manager, and it was a great experience hearing about what the membership includes. The space makes me think of an extension of your home with the free breakfast, the lounge, the little library, and even oral care products in the restroom. All types of memberships come with the same access to the amenities for equity of the shared space. However, with the higher premiums, you could get your own desk and/or office. Walking around the different offices didn't exactly feel like what I had in mind for co-work spaces but I can tell that the different members that use the space vary. Some seem to have been here a while and some maybe come and go. Whichever is the type, they are probably not the type to care as much about reviews and rather just try the experience for themselves as wanted or needed. That's what I would do at least! Just walking around the floor made me want to be a part of this hybrid of a co-work space and an office-space for lease. But I don't exactly have the need for a cowork space like this. I can imagine loving it here for the quiet space somewhat away from downtown, the free daily breakfast, and the access to the many locations in other major cities and especially if I were a traveling entrepreneur. Or if I owned a small business that doesn't have an office space, I'd consider it here too. Easily 5 stars.

The main level is a flight up some stairs where it is the social area and casual conversation is allowed. It also has the login iPad, the kitchen, two restrooms, and the printer. The upper level has extra tables, quiet spaces and the conference rooms which require reservation. This location is above a La Colombe where you can get a discount with your Cove membership. If you're not familiar with cowork spaces, know that there are quite a few options in DC and Cove was one of the first to span the District. Even before cowork spaces like WeWork became popular. I've been with Cove since 2014 and have seen its growth as a company. As most regulars here are entrepreneurs in need of an office space or a scene away from coffee shops, Cove does a good job of organizing events to help you become social with the like minded. Though I'm not a regular of such events, I know these are great opportunities that build a good sense of community. So if you're interested in trying Cove and/or would like a referral code to get $50 credit towards your membership, holla at ya girl! Or just go to one of the many Cove locations NOT during Members Only hours so a host can tell you all about it.

Not recommended for women…read more There are a couple of men acting in a way that is uncomfortable to be around as a woman: one man sleeps overnight at the site by hiding in some of the rooms with the lights turned off (this feels uncomfortable as a female member working there late at night during proper opening hours, but with few if any other members around); another man (a member, not staff!) moves women's belongings (including bag, valuable & personal items, hat etc) to another section of the premises without their permission nor knowledge (when you step away for a break), and has said some pretty creepy things, showing a complete lack of boundaries around women. Some other women saw some of this and said it made them feel uncomfortable too. So I reported this to the management and asked them to review, but they turn a blind eye. (As an ex-Wall Streeter, I'm very used to, and comfortable in, all-men spaces.) This is a critical lack of executive thinking by Cove execs that will hamper their growth because this is precisely what puts off potential outside investors (I work with the largest institutional investors in the US on inclusive capitalism) - as well as putting off female customers - and opens them up to litigation risk. In what is a very crowded market, this is a management failure that they can't afford. This is why all-male executive teams are a liability, as Silicon Valley has amply demonstrated: time to start taking women seriously. Raise your game, chaps!

Staff is very friendly. It was pretty dead when I went, so can't say if there's much of a community like WeWork with happy hours and events. Most of the people seemed to be permanent residents in their own offices. I found free water, but didn't see any snacks or canned beverages available for sale. I guess they figure most people go outside or bring their own food.

The Manager would go out of his way to bring us pitchers of filtered water every hour or so. They had 3 other conference rooms there but I din't get a chance to look at them. Any 4+ person office is 40% off for 6 months with a 13 month contract. Did I mention the complimentary coffee, tea and on-site gym with showers? If not, it's worth the tour.

The space is a space, but the customer service is abismal and they are unashamed and unwilling. Smh. The eating area and kitchen is absolutely adorable. The entire space has an upbeat, somewhat contemporary feel, but not too contemporary. 5 stars for Carr Workplaces.

What first impressed me was the staff. Each member is a true professional and dedicated to ensuring that all tenants needs are met. Our clients frequently compliment us on the way our phones are answered and screened. Mail is promptly delivered. Any request is immediately met. The facilities are also impressive. There are two floors with several meeting rooms of varying sizes, and each floor has its own cafe. Each cafe is not small --there are several tables, with a grouping of a sofa and chairs. The coffee machine dispenses Starbucks brews. And did I mention there are hot fresh baked cookies for tenants every Friday afternoon? Most importantly, Carr Workplaces fosters interaction among the various organizations that use their facilities. At the time of this writing, they are sponsoring a drive to provide bookbags and school supplies for school children who can't afford to have them. For these reasons, we enthusiastically recommend this organization that gives so much to tenants and the community. They serve as an excellent example of what shared office space should be. .
