Looking for a space to hold a marketing event in DC for 60 people, we discovered cove Meet, a one-year-old rentable space conveniently located in DuPont Circle with a garage right next door. We contacted the community manager, Brigid Donnellan, and she helped us book a date for our Yelp Elite event. We had never done an event of this type before, and Brigid made it so easy. She even let us come to practice, plan, and test the multimedia one day at no extra charge.
The clean, pleasant space includes a conference room, meeting room, and lactation room. We used the conference room for setting up a buffet and bar, and we used the meeting room for the presentation and to take headshots of our guests. There were tables that were easy to move in and out of the room; we used a couple of those. We also used their wide screen to hook up to my Mac to show my slides. They provided a couple of clickers. They also have a new type of whiteboard that erases fully. We used both at the front of the room to keep track of audience questions. We used their refrigerator to keep our white wine chilled, and they had speakers in both rooms on which Brigid played her smooth jazz Spotify list at our request.
Brigid was always there to take care of everything, from caterer access to providing tape to hang up a couple of signs. She was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this space for occasional business events, book signings, or parties. read more
