I am giving 2 stars because Edgar was wonderful. I brought my Parti Yorkie in to get his first cut,…read morepuppy cut. He is 3 months of the 24th. The groomer was named Kenzie. First off, she tells me there is no such thing as a puppy cut and groomers don't know what that is. I'm looking at her thinking, I have had small dogs since the 1980's, before she was even born, so yes there is. Then she tells me she probably can't do the cut because it's his first time. One hour l get a call, saying she could not do what I wanted because he was too timid. I go to pick him up and he looks the same. I say, he always going be this way until he gets used to it. The next time will be the same. She tells me to get an electric toothbrush and run it over him so he can get used to the noise. What? What kind of unprofessional advice was this? I should have not left him, because of my conversation with her before. She wasn't even going to try. And had the nerve to give me a bill for $42. Edgar, the Manager was great! Who said the groomer was new. I could tell. But it was the know-it-all attitude she had, that got me, and misinformation she gave. Pretty Paws is closed , so I try PetSmart. No thanks, I will find a local groomer. Teach your new groomers to always have an open mind. And get rid of a know it all attitude, especially when they are NEW GROOMERS.

I unfortunately bought a greenwing macaw from them about 8 years ago. I went thru all the proper protocalls when buying a bird. not once did they send me a picture of my baby bird. when I got him he was really quiet. I immediately called parrot supercenter and expressed this. I had previously owned a sun conure so I wasn't new to parrots. they sais, oh hes fine. I took him to the vet. they did all the normal vet checks on him and determined that he was ok. he was always very quiet which is not normal for a macaw. at 7 weeks he stopped eating. I took him to the vet again and they said he was definately sick. they did some blood tests and said he was anemic. they gave us some medication for him and sent him home. he improved for a few days and then again got very weak. I again to him to the vet. they referred me to an avian vet specialist in san Antonio. there they ran an iv on him for a week. after a couple thousand dollars(almost as much as my parrot costs) the vet called and said he had put enough weight back on and said he felt like he could go home. 3 days later my bird was dead. my bird lived 9 weeks. we had a necropsy done on him from the avian vet and it was determined that he died from macaw wasting disease. This is a disease that will go undetected unless specifically testing for it. this disease is also congenital which means they are either born w it or they contract it in the aviary. I contacted parrot supercenter and told them what happened and sent them a copy of the very thorough necropsy report that unfortunately included pictures. parrot super center refused to give me a refund for my parrot but they did admit that the other two birds that were purchased from this breeder also died. this included a hyacinth macaw which is one of the most expensive macaws out on the market averaging around 10,000.00 dollars. they said they would give me another greenwing. I told them I didn't want another bird from them because they deal in sick birds. parrot supercenter did absolutely nothing. I finally agreed to another bird in which was never sent to me. im writing this in hopes that others will learn from my mistake in buying parrots from this store. they don't do what they say. they buy birds from other breeders without screening them and then they just sell the babies. none of the birds are raised on premises. my bird was sick when they sent him to me and unfortunately im now without a bird and without the money I paid for him which was about 1800.00
