We took four of our grandchildren here for the day today 8/1/25. The weather was a little wonky but the park was great. They have a deal where they offer entry and a meal for around $51 a person. That's the way to go. What we ended up getting for lunch would normally cost around $15 pp but with this deal its around $11 so you save 4 bucks. I really liked the fact that most people were dressed fairly modestly. They do allow you to bring outside food and drink. The kids loved the rides and there were life guards everywhere. I even asked one of them a question and she never took her eyes off the people while answering my question. Hailey at Luigi's Pizza was awesome! Very friendly and helpful. My only con was we had to pay $20 for parking after already paying $300 for the tickets but with that said we loved the park and would definitely come again. read more

If you haven't been in a while, be prepared to spend some money. I just considered this a mini "at home" vacation. I haven't been in a couple of decades. Maybe the prices deterred me. I bought my tickets two days prior to my visit, which was on a Tuesday in July. I printed the tickets and stuck them in a plastic bag because you will need them for re-entry.You can save some money if you pick the day you want to visit. I took my two children and the discounted tickets were $40+tax each for pick your day tickets. Tickets were $54 for any day tickets. I decided to buy the online discounted parking ticket ($16). VIP parking is literally a couple of feet away from regular parking. I can't see paying the extra dollars to not walk an extra 30 secs or 1 min. I guess it comes in handy on a busy weekend day. When we were exiting, it appears the grass area before you enter the gate off to the left is a free lot. I'll have to check in to that. I also purchased the cheapest cabana online ($99). It also had a ticket that you will need to scan at the Cabana/Stroller rental hut. Make sure you bring a debit/credit card. This park is cashless. The bathrooms were clean for the most part. However at the end of the day, there were crowds of people around the sinks trying to do their hair, etc. They should have a gym like area with bigger mirrors and area for folks who want to change before getting in their cars. When checking in, your personal bags will be checked and your tickets are scanned. If you purchased a cabana or need a stroller, there is a hut to the right. You will need to give the attendant in that hut your pre-purchased cabana ticket or if ask if there is one available for you to rent. If you want to get a lock for the locker in your cabana, you will have to pay a $25 refundable deposit fee. I got a rental lock because there wasn't anyone in my party who was going to hang out at the cabana. It is a small locker...good for stuff like phones, wallets or keys. Be careful with those keys...they are on a flimsy key chain. I can only imagine how many of those get lost and you are unable to get your deposit back. Wet-n-Wild looks like most park attractions. Tons of signage, lots of places to sit. There were several food/treat huts that were not in service. It wasn't just one or two, it was several. They were boarded up, which was disappointing because they had food items I was interested in getting. I didn't get a chance to go to the gift shop only because I was already at the top of my budget. Our cabana was very comfortable and will seat 8. It was on the right side of the wave pool. It had a table and 4 chairs + 4 lounge chairs. You get 8 wristbands regardless. If you want to order food, there is a Q-code to scan the menu and order in the cabana. If you want alcohol (beer/wine coolers), the prices are bit high (12-$25.) The food combos are around $12-15. I ordered three combos and waters (4 each) + tip...around $60+. The waitress was super nice and brought our food within 10 mins. The food wasn't spectacular. This made me drop a star in my review. My burger was definitely well-done (almost burnt). The food was cold when it arrived. It must have been premade and they just packaged it. That explains why it arrived so quickly. If you can bring your own sandwiches...do it. The ice creams, icees, treats will run you about $6-$15. The icees, Dipping Dots ice cream and the Italian ice were so good There are several lifeguards at each ride. The wait time for each ride wasn't that long during the week. Of course the main rides had longer wait times. I can't imagine what the wait times are on the weekends. Guess what? You can spend another $29-$69 per person to get a H2Go Passes, which can save you time on waiting in ride lines. The rides were fun! Best part of the day! We could have spent all day in the wave pool. They need conveyer belts to bring those tubes to the top of the rides. I felt so out of shape carrying those huge tubes around corners and up flights of stairs. The intensity of each ride is listed. I think my favorite was the Tunnel of Terror even though I screamed extremely loud and embarrassed my daughter. Keep in mind, some rides stop one hour before closing. I wish during the week it stayed open longer. I felt like 6pm would have been a better time, but it closed at 5pm during our visit. I believe on certain days like the weekends it stays open longer. Check before you go. Overall, I say go at least once. Plan ahead. Check the weather. Pick a day in the week if you want less crowds. If you plan on going more than once in the summer, get season passes. read more

A great theme park. A little something for everyone. If you have small kids, there is a splash area and a gated zone just for kids! Meals are $14 on average. Older kids? No problem! Lots of slides, a wave pool, and 2 regular pools. Disabled? Not so great. There is 1 slide that does not involve stairs. The wave pool is zero entry and one of the pools has a chair lift. However, the lazy river requires you to have a tube- not great for larger people. Speaking of which, the cyclone is the only slide for larger people. I wish there was a deep raft, not inflatable "raft" that had a ride. There is the H2Go pass, but it's only for a few rides, and there's no h2go is you're disabled. Even Disney has a fast pass if you're disabled and can't stand in line. So good and bad. read more

First time visiting Emerald Pointe.... and it was a beautiful day weather-wise. Certainly nothing that the Wet N Wild folks had a hand in, but it was still nice. Get ready to spend some money! Tickets are about $55 each for an adult, but as others have stated, you should look for discounts! Parking is $20, a locker inside is $20. You can bring in one water bottle per person, so at least there is no excuse not to stay hydrated. The food and snacks inside are astronomical, but that's to be expected. We brought a cooler in the car and exited around mid-day to eat a homemade sandwich with chips. As far as exiting and returning, there are no handstamps. Print those tickets out and keep them in your bag so you can get back in!... or don't leave and spend money on the inside food. Now that we're past the price of things, let me talk about the rest. Every life-guard station was staffed. There were a lot of supervisors walking around and every life-guard I saw was attentive. That's great if you're concerned for the little-uns. I saw some people cleaning as well, and everyone I dealt with was friendly. Big kudos there because they are primarily staffed by what appeared to be late-teens/early-20s. I even saw one guy painting something, which is nice to see. Everything needs a little paint now and then. The restrooms were a bit dirty. Could use more TLC during the busy times. The structures, slides, and everything else was in decent shape and I never felt unsafe or that something was going to explode, implode, frontplode, or backplode. (No ploding danger). There is a little more paint needed I think, but generally, it was decent. Would I return? My kid said we have to come back, so Yes. But I won't be mad about it. read more

We are water park enthusiasts. We used to go to water parks over 20 days per year. We would stay at hotels that had their own water park. We are professionals. We purchased season passes but only went twice. Pro Tip: never purchase a season pass before going at least once. Once, the first time, we purchased the meal ticket. Now on to the 3 stars. WNW could actually be a a lot better but they have earned 3 stars. We went on a Thursday twice hoping to beat the crowds. Our drive was 1.5 hours. You can beat the crowd but you can't beat the bean counters ( the people that are always penny wise and pound foolish on your projects). I have a degree that taught queuing theory and I have used it. There were not many people there on Thursday ( we went twice ). But there were rides we never went on. The line just did not move. The fancy rides required two people per raft. There are several of these and they are the newer ones. So there will be a pile of single riders at the end trying to pair up. This does explain the wait times. It does not explain why they do not do what every other water park out there does. Have a separate line for single riders. This does not explain the " normal " rides. It was like the helpers just moved slow. I do wonder if their low pay ( mentioned by a helper ) is related to their obvious lack of motivation. Ignore the park hours. I was actually angry enough that I called and asked. They do not staff the rides fully until after 1 pm. They also close some rides an hour early. You need to keep this in mind. Also keep in mind they do not open the " good " food places during the week. I was looking forward to fried shrimp, frozen bananas, and frozen lemonade. None were available. The food that was available is sub par for an entertainment park. They also close the food an hour before the park closes. Back to the penny wise people mentioned above. They have " six-sigma-ed the hell out of this place. To the point that there is just no value left. The three stars is for certain conditions. If you live local, very local, and get a year pass. You have kids that can drive. Or if you have a lot of weekdays free. I might not have explained that well. If you live close enough to treat WNW as a pool membership you will get value out of it. Otherwise, you simply can't. You can't go on a weekday to beat the crowds as half of it is closed. You can't go on the weekend I have read due to the long lines. You can't get a meal ticket. You can't beat the slow worker queue. This is a park that probably could, and probably did back in the day, but now just can't. We used our season passes twice. We will never return. read more

I've been going to WnW since I was a preteen... I've taken my kids and now my great nephew and it never disappoints My 16 year old has his 1st job there this year. Safety is their first focus... cleanliness is number 2... you can focus on fun. I've never worried about my belongings or letting my kids go ride a slide and check back in every so often. Wear some shoes the pavement can get hot. Buy a souvenir cup if you're coming more than once, it pays for itself. Here's why they lose a star. Making paying customers pay to park is LAME. When it's 185 degrees out, this place will cool you off. Check online for discounted tickets as they are cheaper to get ahead of time. Parking will cost you $15 at the door and $2 cheaper online. They have VIP parking for $20 but not worth it cuz it's not a huge lot. My biggest reason for 3 stars as opposed to 4 is they don't allow food or drink in the park. We ate a good breakfast and skipped lunch as they were only open until 5pm. They have a picnic area near entrance so people do pack coolers and picnic outside the park. As we had visited Volcano Bay in Orlando earlier in the season, even they allow coolers! This silly rule needs to change. The wave pool is pretty large, but the waves came one at a time and at times there was a pretty long wait. The slides are a lot of fun, the lazy river was just ok. The wait times weren't bad on this last weekend in August. It's located in Greensboro, so only about an hour and a half from Wake Forest. My 6 year old granddaughter loved the shipwreck she could jump off into 6 ft deep water. They do have lockers for rent and lots of chairs and lounges with umbrellas for shade. read more

I honestly feel like I'm owed a full refund. Upon entering the park today ( a Saturday ) I was greeted by a long list of attractions that were not operating. Already that is limiting. The weather was perfect there is not a cloud or roll of thunder in sight. Why is the park not fully operational ? I also discovered that they were closing at 5:00 on a Saturday ! Unheard of ! Thank God we arrived a little after opening or it would be $125 down the drain. We purchased the All Day Meal Pass which limits you to eating from 3 of the worst eateries they have to offer at $13.99 which includes a meal, drink and " a snack ". The meal tickets purposely do not detail where you can purchase your meals or snack. The employees don't know either. They treated our online meal vouchers like food stamps. We had to walk around to figure out who would accept our meal tickets. My friend gave up on finding the right concession stand and ended up paying for all her food out of pocket after paying for the $13.99 voucher. I was determined to not get played the fool. I stumbled upon Captain Eli's. Big mistake. The food was terrible like school lunch and the employees working were miserable. Be smart. Pack a cooler of food and LEAVE IT IN THE CAR. Do not be taken advantage of. When we went to use the snack voucher all of the select snack concession stands were closed for business. The entire day. The only option was funnel cake. I wasn't going to risk my life trying that. My other issue is how filthy the place is. There's no reason the changing area and bathrooms are deplorable!!! The Shripwreck Cove pools and wave pool areas were clean and nice. The rapids tube slides with single, double and triple floats were a good time. My daughter enjoyed Dragon's Den. After losing 30 minutes to each water slide line it was already 5:00 PM. This is where I feel very cheated. They really are understaffed here and it shows. I would rather drive to Wilmington to Jungle Rapids. I will say the music played at Shipwreck Cove was the best part. read more

This was originally my home water park until I moved to Florida back in 2015. Now coming back here I realized how small of a park it is but it's still a great time! The only reason why I docked one star is due to there main rides ALL being double rider rides. So if your a single rider like I was during this particular trip, you'll miss out on a lot. Also a majority of the rides are the same ones that were there last time I was here back in 2012, crazy lol. They have a new ride that will be opening next year, but that's next year. While the rides are fun and entertaining, the whole place is run by snotty little Gen Zers who can't understand the concept of customer service. We bought tickets and reserved a cabana last week only to have to delay our trip because of a health emergency. I called customer service and was told our reservations would be good until September. We went today and the cabana staff not only refused to help, but would not honor the reservation and said we had to call customer service if we had a problem and that it "isn't on us". After I called customer service and demanded a refund, we saw 3 cabanas empty. ALL DAY! Why not give us one of those? Like I said, bratty little Gen Zs. All the food is over priced and tastes worse than public school food. This place is no gem. The toilets are absolutely filthy. Even the floors are a bio-hazard. Clearly if you look at the clientele, it's obvious who they cater too. We won't ever return. read more

The line to get into the park off the highway is a nightmare. Expect to be sitting in the car for at least an hour. Small parking lot, but easy to find a spot if you park on the grass (we arrived right at open). The park itself is dated, and lines are really long for the popular rides. The park was also incredibly overcrowded. Food lines were long too (about 45 min wait) and there was a shortage of everything it seemed (no soda, no straws, etc). I imagine they oversell admission vs capacity because they can. Wouldn't revisit, but the kids had fun. read more

Horrible experience. My cousins wanted to go to Wet n Wild and we drove an hour and fifteen minutes and payed 50 bucks. The price was reasonable. We all arrived and it was crowded which is understandable since it's Saturday in the middle of the Summer.However, the things I am going to note are the reasons I gave this place a one star. First, the bathrooms were horrible. Someone literally crapped on the side of the toilet. The other toilets were dirty and there was urine on the floor. Basically, it looked like nobody has cleaned them all day. This left me with an uneasy and disgusted feeling. I almost lost my appetite and the food I ordered made it worse. I got a chicken sandwich and a sprite and paid $20 for this meal. If it's going to be this expensive, at least the chicken should not look like a thin dried up fungus. I ate it because I was hungry but did not enjoy it. Anyway, we sat at the park and it started raining and thundering. They closed down the slides. This is understandable as nobody can control the weather. We ended up not riding any rides. They offered us a rain check as opposed to a refund. It is common in the summer for it to rain and thunder so I understand that's a risk going to the water park. However, when I tried to do a rain check on the phone they stated that they only do it in person. Why can't they take the time to help customers over the phone. We had to be somewhere by a certain time and did not have time to wait in line to get a rain check. That is an inconvenience that customers have to wait in line just to get a rain check. People may have different opinions, but I am just stating mine. The only good thing at the park was the IPA I had at the bar. The bartender was really nice and friendly! The staff was friendly in general and I hope they are being treated well. read more

I was very disappointed...first we get here and half of the waterslides are shut done, so I could not ride some rides. We go to get a snack and I get NO spoons or a lid for a drink or nothing!! We got food at Captain Eli's and I was VERY disappointed. The chicken tenders took forever to be stocked and the chicken had yellow stuff all up in the breading and I immediately felt nauseous after eating this chicken. Where to start.... Kids had fun on the slides. Several slides were non-operational though. We were waiting in line to the twist slides and there is a height requirement. A tiny girl not even close to reaching the hight scale was allowed to slide. The dark slide had a weight restriction...two girls stood on the scale and were red, but were allowed to go anyway. WE didn't see any sign of extra cleaning or sanitation. We saw a guy spit on the railing of one slide, and after an hour we went up again only to see the wet spit bubbles still present. Hand santizer dispensers were always empty at the top of every slide. Muddy water, hair and garbage were present everywhere. I understand the shear amount of people make it difficult to clean constantly, but this was really gross and unsanitary. read more

So, I am firmly in the camp of people who think that water parks are cesspools (no pun intended) for unsanitary conditions and questionable people. When my wife suggested that we go, I was immediately against the idea. Call it the snob in me? Then I looked at the pictures. Damn. It looked like too much fun to pass up on. We went. Had a hell of a time, and I am now confident that the place is clean and a lot of fun. The people, however, are still questionable as hell. read more

Wet 'n Wild makes for a great day in the sun, adrenaline rush included! Ventured to this park for the first time on a Wednesday in late June. Although school was out, it wasn't as crazy as it could've been; more of a high school crowd then young kids. First, look for ticket discounts, we found them for $28/person. Go for a full day, arrive at 10am when the park opens (we experienced that around 12pm, the longs got longer. Second, bring your own lunch! You have to pay for parking [you COULD park at the strip mall around the corner and walk in, but honestly, I'd just chip over the $9 for parking, VIP is $13 but only a couple steps closer]. Bring a cooler, fill it with ice, and pack a lunch. DON'T check it in the "cooler stand" where you have to pay for them to hold it, just leave it in the car [with ice!]. You are allowed to walk outside the park and return [get a stamp], so you can get the cooler from your car and bring it up to the tables to the left of the entrance. This will save you at least $10 for lunch and more if you bring drinks. Third, skip adult beverages at the park, 12oz for $6.99 of Bud or Michelob ULTRA. DON'T buy a locker. Just pack light, leave valuables in your trunk and bring in a beach bag and leave it on a chair with your towel. I'd recommend wearing your sandals and sunglasses after noon. The ground gets HOT and every ride has shoe holders. Now for the rides! Favorite Rides: Tunnel of Terror [2 person], Daredevil Drop [1 person] and The Edge [1 or 2 person--although 2 person is MUCH more fun then one person]. The Dragon's Den [2 person] is a lot of fun and very short. Cyclone Zone is really fun and chill for the afternoon if you're feel a little squelched by the sun, more fun then Lazy River, although they're both some of the best lines [next to Twin Twister and Daredevil Drop]. Raging Rapids SINGLE RIDER is a lot of fun, skip double and triple riders. If you're looking for a chill slide ride, look for the Riptide Racer, Serpentine Slide, Double Barrel Blast or Tropical Drop. The Wave pool is a great afternoon rest "spot" and you can definitely do some body surfing. Worst Ride: Twin Twister. You are trapped in a LONG, twisting, black tunnel with only your body and you pick up a LOT of speed. It left my back feeling sore and my stomach feeling queazy. This ride aside, a really fun day trip, expect to wait in line 15-20 minutes for most rides unless otherwise noted. I'll definitely be back, although I'm going to try to hit it in the sweet spot when school's in session and they're still open before winter, I think that would be the glory spot! read more

I bought season passes near the end of last summer which were valid then as well as for all of 2018. I also picked up the parking pass. I believe the price was such that we only had to go 2-1/2 times and we were "free" visits after that. We went once last year and again this past weekend. The park is a lot of fun, especially when you don't feel pressured to stay all day to get your moneys worth like I do under a daily rate plan. Although the water park can get crowded on the weekends, it is still a blast! We plan on going at least several more times this summer, so we definitely will get our money's worth. It's not to bad of a road trip from Apex either. We saw a pretty cool frisbee dog trick show too, which was neat. Bring your sunscreen! You can rent a small locker for personal items if you don't want to go all the way back to your vehicle for them. You can kick off your flip flops at the bottom of the slide and get them once down. There is a giant wave pool which is a lot of fun, but we just want more frequent waves haha! You can borrow life jackets for the kids at the wave pool if needed. The slide with the two and three person rafts is probably our favorite. Get out and check it out...Maybe I'll see ya there?!! read more

But the rides are lots of fun, the staff is helpful, and all in all, it's a good time. I was here for a Company Party. All of the ride attendees were extremely pleasant, smiles on all of their faces. All of the rides were maintained. And the grounds had no trash. One inccident however put me in a sour mood. The company paid for our lunches, however, I thought the lunches were paid for the employees that worked at the company hosted partyand their family, not the Wet'n Wild employees. What happened to my family was they were all hungry and the employees said they ran out of food. However, they had enough to feed themselves and their friends. Not impressed. My recommendation: go as a family, separately, and if you are paying for a company party or even a personal one, expect to pay for the Wet'N Wild employees too! The park is fairly clean; food choices suck (seen this dude shake about an entire cup of salt on the fries! Slide options pretty good but the best part is the customer service my family and I experienced from DJ and Chandler (aquatics manager)! These guys were so awesome! My husband lost both his wedding ring and his Garmin sports watch in an 8ft deep pool. We stayed until the park closed and DJ dived into the pool at the request of Chandler and wouldn't you believe it - He found both items! My toddler loves their wave pool and the children fun area called the Soak Zone with sprinklers. Great place to have fun in the sun! The lines are not too long for the slides. There are three pools for swimming, and the rest are for the slides. My favorite slide is Runaway Raft Ride. There is a nice area for children, Happy Harbor sometimes called pee pee harbor :) The staff is accommodating and friendly. I recommend this to families who want a daycation. read more

This is a nice water park for kids and adults alike. It's not comparable to the larger ones at Carowinds or Bush Gardens. But it's a good excursion with the kids for the day. We have only been on weekdays, because we were told that Saturday's and Sundays are crazy. Low crowd level during the week, and the most we waited in line was 20 minutes. It's better to bring a cooler with lunch and snacks. Cooler storage is reasonable, but if you don't want to pay for it, you can leave it in your car and go back and get it, and try to get a table right outside the gate. If you plan on going more than twice, get the season pass, so worth it. And bring cash for the lockers, so much easier. read more

The wave pool was closed (man in distress earlier and they closed), small pool full of hair and kids were grossed out, lunch was ok and the highlight of the trip, waited at least 20 minutes to buy water, kids rode one ride and asked to leave by 2 (after 2 hours). They closed the park after we were there only two hours because of rain, My complaint is that they gave us rain checks for weekday only! My family is visiting from out of state and is going home on Monday! We aren't allowed to pay the weekend difference because they claim that the rain checks are free tickets! How can they be free when I paid $49 at the gate! Also we will have to pay an additional $15 to park again! This is ridiculous as is the food prices $30 foe a 16" pizza! I have had seasonal tickets for two years but you can bet there won't be a third year read more

Kind of junky all around. The day we went, it rained after we had only been there 2 hours and we got passes for another time - but those passes don't include parking or all the food we bought. Oh well. read more
