The rooms are very quiet, clean and scent free. The beds were firm but very comfortable. There's a nice pool that's well maintained and kept at a usable temperature. The staff was extremely nice and very efficient. The continental breakfast was a step above average. The dining area was clean and the selection of food was just right. I like that they had some great additions for children, and really aren't we all children at heart? There was a waffle making machine/station which my wife used with the help of the lady who was supervising, cleaning and restocking the area. They had a nice selection of breads and bagels with a toaster. There was also some biscuits and gray with sausage crumbles that you could add if you like. My favorite was the scrambled eggs with smoked kielbasa's on the side. There were little single serve peanut butter and jelly containers as well as butter. There was a refrigerator with fruit yogurt, milk, packages with two hard boiled eggs and for the children there was a fruit cup, apple sauce cup, Brekkies (a soft chocolate chip, oat and flax) cookie and last but not least Uncrustables. There was also single serve cereal containers ranging from mini-wheats to fruit loops. 24 hour coffee service was always spot on. All in all we had a very nice stay at a warm and friendly Inn.

Spent a long weekend here recently with my Dad and a number of hunting buddies. Kent, the owner,…read moreand the guides were all very friendly and accommodating. We had a new hunter in our group and they were great with advice and getting him on birds. I had just recently had to let my old hunting dog pass on, and my younger dog was completely freaking out. Kent was really helpful with getting her back on track, "bird therapy" and helping to restore her self confidence. Lots of really nice land to hunt - either walking right there are the farm, or large tracts located a short drive away. The accommodations were great. Large kitchen, group eating areas, big rooms. Only complaint there is the rooms on the second level of the barn only have partial walls, about 9 feet high, so sound travels. If you have folks up late, or early, it can disturb people trying to sleep in bed. There are two upper level rooms which are quite nice. Though, they do tend to collect heat and the one faces the interstate. So, opening the windows at night for a breeze means you can hear the distant late night semis on the highway. Only an issue if you are a light sleeper. The location is VERY convenient - right off the interstate. The hunting experience was very good. The dogs and guides were decent. Not the best but, many of them are club members and volunteer. We had a couple minor issues but, honestly, those were as much to do with people not understanding how to "hunt over dogs"...more than anything else. For example, you have to PAY ATTENTION to the dogs, and the handlers, and you have to let them work. But, again, that's just a hunter experience issue, more than anything else. I would definitely recommend this place. Hint: don't be afraid to bring A LOT of food. They have two very large refrigerators and the kitchen is expansive - plenty big enough to cook for a group of 8 to 10 guys. And, they DO have wi-fi included! Also, bring a swimsuit...after lond cold days of hunting, the sauna and hot-tub were VERY welcome forms of relaxtion. Plus, the hot tub is outside, with a really nice view over long lake.

If you want to have a great hunting experience where it definitely feels far more like a wild hunt…read morethan a "game farm", Long Lake Lodge is the place. The facilities are top notch, the property is beautiful and conveniently located right of I-94 and the fields are not mowed, it's all wild, native, tall prairie grass and sloughs. It's not a walk in the park which makes it a challenge and the birds are "wild", not spun dizzy so they don't fly. Your dog won't catch half the birds like at other game farms, they won't catch any. You need to actually shoot because the birds fly hard and fast. It is a great way to introduce novices to a great hunting experience and a fantastic place for a unique team building employee outing. We rented the smallest, 600sq foot cabin. We were almost dreading getting to our tiny little cabin the whole way here. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised by it. The resort is in a beautiful location on a wooded hill overlooking Lake Miltona. There is a large children's play are situated between the cabins and the owners' house. It has a giant wooden ship among other things that would keep kids entertained for hours. They have a free to use fish house and boat shack near the dock. The way down from the cabins to the dock is beautifully landscaped with stone and a large staircase. Halfway down there is a large common area with an outdoor fireplace, firewood, and tables & chairs. At the bottom, there is a fire pit, and many lounging chairs and a bench overlooking the water. The sand beach also has some paddle boats. The dock was the only thing I felt was kind of sketchy here. Everything was so new and nice, yet I almost fell off the dock every time I walked out on it. Super shaky. So anyways, our cabin. It was amazing. Yes it was a little samll, but it didn't feel like it. It was all beautifulyl remodeled on the inside. The living room had a couch (folding), a chair, table with chairs, and a TV on a stand. Kitchen was nice, could have had a better microwave in my opnion, but that was it. Bathroom was so much nicer than any resort I've seen. All new, nice shower, sink, only disappointment was no medicine cabinet. Bedroom was super cozy with a nice bed and dresser in it. The cabin also had a very nice deck on it with an outdoor table and chairs. The owners were super nice and helpful, they put a lot of work into this resort. It's on a beautiful lake in a beautiful location. The surrounding area couldn't be better, and the resort couldn't be better. You should seriously consider this resort if staying in the area.

The landscaping was great especially along the lake. Large terrace with a fire place so you can watch the sunset, stars by the fire. Friend'y owner. Boat, jet ski, pontoon rental available. I'd go in the off season as the rates are really expensive during the summer and I think there are better deals for what you get at other places, but I will return in the fall again. Had a great, relaxing time.

The front desk clerk was very friendly and looked like she was working hard. The room has the phone key which I really like, when it works! It worked once but I didn't bother to have it reset as I was only there for a couple of nights. the room was very clean and spacious. It has all your needs covered with the Refrigerator, Microwave, coffeemaker and HUGE flat screen TV. Speaking of the TV, it had the Bluetooth music feature that allowed you to play your music from your phone over the TV. I love that feature a lot! Lots of free outlets by the bed, CPAP friendly! USB ports by the coffee maker, nice! One last thing about the overall room space. They have a nature scene on the window shade when it is pulled down, nice touch. How about a sunset? Bathroom was large and had a walk in very large shower area. I really like the walk-in shower verses the tub/shower combo! Who takes a bath in a hotel room anyway unless it is a whirlpool? The hotel was relatively quiet however others in our group said their rooms were noisy and could hear the room next to them. Maybe it was me, I do listen to my music pretty loud? I guess they were on another floor. I always take the top floor. The one thing I did notice is the door slams. Apparently they decided not to use dampers to quiet the doors when people leave their rooms. The fitness room was very large for a hotel. It had plenty of equipment and a water bottle filling station. The pool was small and NO whirlpool/hot tub. The breakfast room was very nice, however, I didn't eat the FREE breakfast. I would most definitely stay here again. It was located in a weird location, between Menards and Wal-Mart but it was close to restaurants, fuel and shopping.

We were all stunned to see the interior of the place due to the modern design of the cabin. All cabins are full equipped with household items and a kitchen. Equipped with a charcoal grill, log fire pit (logs were $5 a bundle), picnic table, patio table & chairs. Each cabin comes with their own aluminum fishing boat with oars but we were able to upgrade to add a motor for $45 a day. They also have a fishing pontoons available for $150/day. Our cabin is right next to the small sandy beach where they had a water trampoline, swim raft and water slide. Great place to go fishing. Outside of the rental office there's a gut house for those who want to clean their fishes. It is highly recommended to clean your fishes here to avoid all of the mess in the nice cabins. We've chatted with the owner, Greg. He is pretty cool. We would love to come back for another get together!
