I had the hardest time choosing between Arrowwood and Westwind (they are right next to each other), but in the end I went with Westwind due to the food menu. The food was incredible!!! Parking was easy to find, and it's across the street from the actual brewery. There's a lot of land and I like that they had cornhole and a cute shop with local goods and merch. There's a mix of outdoor and indoor seating, and we sat indoors since it was chilly (it's dog friendly). There is a sizable food menu, so we ordered the kale caesar salad and the capocollo pizza. We also got a cider flight and hot cider (not spiked but you can get it spiked). I looooooved the food, it was so good! Our salad came out pretty quickly and our pizza came out a bit after we finished eating the salad (they bring it to your table). I wasn't a fan of the hard ciders, but I loved my hot cider. There's also two gender neutral restrooms available indoors, as well as a cute array of ciders and merch for sale. I would def recommend coming here! read more

My visit was on October 2025 just for a point of reference. Dined in alone. A beautiful venue to dine with lots of space outside and casual vibes. It would've been more interesting to people watch and bask in the vibrancy of the atmosphere if there were a larger crowd but this was a weekday evening. But still. The potential. Amazing ciders, and in fact might be the best I've tried so far. If you like dry and/or funky ciders, this would definitely be your jam. I would have bought some to go if I wasn't concerned about the logistics of traveling with them. Excellent food. I only tried the ragu per recommendation by the staff who checked me in. When the dish was delivered I was underwhelmed by how lackluster the presentation was, but then it proceeded to blow my mind by being one of the best pastas I've ever had. The meat chunks fell apart at the lightest touch of my fork, the sauce had a deep tomato-y savory flavor that was perfectly balancing out the dry ciders, and the pasta itself was clearly handmade and had the perfect texture. I still dream of this pasta, hence this very late review. The reason I didn't give this place a perfect rating is pretty straightforward: nonexistent service. You order and pay up front (although I suppose you could keep the tab open since this is a drinking type place), so I also tipped them up front a generous amount since my whole dinner/drinks were pretty substantial in terms of pricing and so I somehow assumed the service would be adequate to decent at the very least. Turned out this was a mistake. While they did deliver the food to my seat, that was literally the entirety of their service. For some bizarre reasons the server didn't bother giving me any utensils to eat with while dropping off the pasta. I was a little taken aback, so I asked the server and she dismissively pointed towards the main building and told me that that would be where I would find the utensils. So I went back in to get some plastic utensils feeling somewhat silly. On top of that I bussed everything after I was done with my dinner as there was an obvious spot designated for doing just that. Lesson learned about tipping prematurely, but angel's share, I suppose. All in all, I would still highly recommend this place to anyone who just happens to be in the vicinity, because even if it is a bit of a detour this mighty cidery/restaurant is worth a visit. I could imagine this being such a good time with outstanding food, ciders, and just some good ambience weather permitting. I will personally be looking to get my hands on those ciders come next cider season! read more

Amazing pizzas, pastas, salads, and ice cream! I love the thin sliced Salsiccia. Truly, the best I ever had. I forgot to take pic of the Fettucchine al limoncello because I devoured it too quickly. The service was great and the staff is pretty friendly. Maybe I'm just lucky, but it's always sunny when I visit! It was such a beautiful day outside as I stuffed my face. What a gift Westwind is! Our best local option, and well worth the two hour drive from the city. The food is superior - from their exceptional wood fired pizzas featuring homemade mozz and their own, farm raised produce - so fresh and delicious. The restaurant kitchen has flown under the radar for too long. Chef's seasonal soups are magical. Fresh pasta made on site using eggs from Westwind's own happy chickens. Friends drive hours, claiming it's to see me and it soon becomes obvious Westwind's roasted chicken is the real draw. Now let's talk cider. I used to think cider was a one-note headache-inducer. Not so at Westwind. Their options are as complex as wine, varied, interesting, dry and just damn delicious. Their cider maker is a Pommelier! Only 150 of them in the world, and very few are women. Love that we have one right here so close to the other big apple. Incredible setting, life giving really. Staff is friendly and hustles like heck where it gets busy, which is often. I'm a friend and neighbor, obvs., but if I wasn't a fan too, I'd just keep my pie- hole shut and you wouldn't read a thing about them from me here. Hands off the honey gelato, it's all mine. The pizza and food at west wind will blow you away! We stumbled upon the orchard while visiting, and were immediately drawn in by the curated, authentic, and comfortable atmosphere. Their selection of wine, beer, cider, and cocktails was impressive and had something for everyone. The seating offered a beautiful space both indoors and out - we sat in a covered outdoor area and the breeze over the apple trees was so nice. After coming here for the first time and falling in love with the pizza, we came back a few months later to try their summer menu. It did not disappoint! We had the marina pizza and it was delicious - the mixture of tomato sauce, high quality olive oil, capers, olives, and anchovies is mesmerizing. The crust is perfectly thin and has a little crunch. I'm addition to the pizza, We also had the rich crostini (yummm!!) and the fresh zucchini salad. They complimented each other perfectly. It's clear that the menu was created with utmost care, and a deep reverence for delicious food. I don't think you can go wrong with your order. Orchards, cideries, vineyards... oh my! With COVID still afoot, you can expect a lot of check-ins from me at these kinds of places as the weather turns to chill. Two friends in my quarantine pod and I did a weekend away in the Hudson Valley to celebrate my birthday and LDW. We trekked up to here to try something new and enjoyed our ciders and bites. I had the raspberry cider which was delicious, and also tasted my friends Gold Rush, which was superb, a bottle of each coming home with me, For bites we had the kale salad (sans onion), the Margherita pizza, and the fior di zucchini pizza (sans anchovy), and we left totally happy and relaxed, which doesn't come easy these days. They also have a cute little store with some local produce, local honey, apparel, and seasonal stuff. You pay at the bar for it, be honest! Two very small things that clearly don't knock the rating a bit: - they only have port-a-potties -- come prepared for that -- I wish they had 12 oz bottles of their stuff! read more

Westwind orchard is just an altogether stellar place. My boyfriend and I were on vacation and saw that there was a cidery nearby so decided to check it out. First of all, the vibes are absolutely immaculate. The twinkle lights, the apple trees all over the dining area, the fun little shop, the cornhole, the mix of kids running around and adults...it's both family friendly and also a great place to go for a good time no matter your age. The cider itself is amazing. I personally hate sweet cider, and my boyfriend hates dry cider, so we can't always find cider that we both like. At Westwind, we both found multiple drinks that we absolutely loved. The cider tasted fresh and delicious. The food is also fantastic. We got two pizzas and then we loved them so much that we ended up getting a third pizza to take home. They're just the right mix of crispy/foldable crust with an amazing, flavorful tomato sauce and not too much cheese. We also had the garlic scapes appetizer and for something so simple, they were really exquisitely flavored. The customer service here is also great. Everyone was so nice and helpful in helping us pick out drinks. I really couldn't have had a better time here, I think it's one of my favorite dining experiences of all time. read more

as a retired local food pro, i had heard about this phenomenon for years, but could never go as their open days were my very long business days. my foodie customers spoke so highly of the place (they make arancini!?!) that alone whet my appetite. so after a day at the best swimming hole close by, my friend and i headed up there. a funny odd camping ground location, where you order food and drink and wait a very very very long time for your order to arrive. if you drink your bevvie, you have to trek the five hundred yards back to the cafeteria to get another...the sweaty overworked young servers can do nada for your thirst....felt like yuppie disneyland run by rude greedy folk. the menu: those arancini, here they call them suppli, which in Rome they are flattened more than the round and pear shaped ones of So Italy/Sicily...filled with substantial ingredients. here they are fat near rounds of watery rice with a bit of fresh mozzarella, those telefono strings. we eaited so long for them they tasted divine, but considering the price....felt cheated by cheapness in ingredienti! shame on you! faster, relatively speaking, as ihad finished my beer long before, we received delicious carciofi, fresh artichokes slivers with their shaved stems attached....grazie!! but so salty! had i another beer, i would not have minded a big...and the cavatelli, lovely little grub-like pasta wel seasoned in an odd sauce...pesto-ish with fennel. no extra cheese offered....oh and no flatware...we had to fetch ourselves....plastic, hard on the environment, white plastic forks and knives... i was shocked at the prices though. appetizer plate-sized portions were $23-28 USD! however the variety was lovely and varied, so many good sounding options. and an enticing selection of local cidre and beers...i opted for their neighbor Arrowood Pilsner...yum! perfect for a warm summer day... truly the new Upstate NewYork, but it really felt like a Trumpian nouveau riche faux-hip place, a pure dystopian nightmare for a thinking, environmentalist, nature-loving realist food loving internationally travelled longtime Hudson Valley resident....the nightmare of the elitist Hamptons moved north. My friend got raviolis and i got a pizza and a flight of beer. They have a small menu but the food is delicious and authentic. A bit on the pricier side for an orchard. Westwind is a gem of the Hudson Valley area. As a pizza snob, it's easy for me to stray from choosing pizza out in the country, but Westwind is probably some of the best pizza I've ever had. My fiancée and I shared a fried artichoke appetizer (garlic aioli was out of this world!), in addition to the capicola and roasted artichoke pizza. The crust was thin and crisp, mozzarella cheese was fresh, cheesy and yummy. The flavors were on point and to top it all off with the beautiful views on their property - we had a spectacular date night. To be able to sit outside and see families laughing, children playing, and dogs sitting next to them is so sweet. The string lights are endearing and make for a great ambiance. Well done, Westwind. My elderly mother lives in Accord, so I am usually in town to visit at least once or twice a month. I love when my mother wants to go to Westwind because it is such a unique and fabulous place! Imagine a beautiful apple orchard with modern farmhouse buildings containing covered eating areas, indoor restaurant, seating and gift shop, All surrounding a beautiful open grassy area with outdoor seating, and in the evenings and cool weather, there are these huge metal cauldrons burning firewood providing a little warm, and a lot of ambience, especially at night!! Enjoy a tasting flight of their housemaid ciders, or if you're like me, enjoy one of their great wines or indulge in a mixed drink or beer. Their food is excellent! I love their carbonara, which is made the right way using imported Italian guanciale, real Parmigiana Reggiano, and the correct pasta! Considering the owner, FABIO is from Italy. I wouldn't expect anything but the correct and freshest ingredients and Fabio delivers. The wood fired. Pizzas are perfection with the thin rustic crispy crust with once again, only the best ingredients, all home made from farm to table produce in season and imported cheeses. Dining is not a formal experience, I think of it as having gourmet food on a picnic . Please know that fresh made food with imported cured meats and cheeses from Italy or farm to table organic produce is not fast food prices. You pay more to get their fresh made high quality foods. If you want Pizza Hut pricing, go to Pizza Hut, this is not the place for you. The great thing about the outdoor picnic like seating is that it is kid friendly and animal friendly for your leashed and behaved pooch! I saw some people post that the owner snd staff were not kid friendly, and that shocked me because almost every time I've been there, I've seen a lot of families with their children. The owner Fabio is so friendly and down to earth so I suspect the parents that posted the negative reviews were "those parents" that think it is ok to let their kids run wild and not respect the establishment, the environment and the consideration of others. A cute spot out in the country with plenty of space outside for gathering with friends. There are some tables underneath the roofs of the buildings but many of them are out on the lawn with umbrellas. If you have a big party and children, the tables were spread out enough to lay out blankets, set out chairs, and lay out picnics if you needed to. There was live music when we were there. The place was quite clearly kid and dog friendly too! We were a party of 11 and we were lucky enough to find 2 tables in one of the buildings. If you do not feel like bringing anything, they have food available to order. There were pizzas, salads, and some other snacks. I got the fried artichoke hearts, which were pretty good and came out amazingly fast. For drinks, they had a variety of their ciders available by glass, bottle, or in the form of a flight. Alternative libations included wine and cocktails. I will be honest. Their ciders were not our favorite. We got a bottle of the goldrush and the raspberry. Both were dry but a little more bitter than we were expecting. A few ladies got cocktails, which were ok with the exception of one which was a bit strong. Taken together, an ok experience. Would not go out of my way for the cider there but I did appreciate the fun vibe and atmosphere. read more

This place is awesome! Arrived at 12:15 on a Saturday and the place was tables were at least 3/4 occupied. They have plenty of parking across the street. Their margherita pizza reminded me of Italy - super thin with perfectly flavored ingredients. Their Panzanella salad had super fresh ingredients - colorful tomatoes, crispy sourdough bread and their dressing was so good that we bought extra bread just to soak up the remaining dressing! We loved it so much that we bought another round of margherita pizza and Panzanella salad! Their ciders were also good, but wish the pour was heavier. The outdoor seating was perfect - lots of socially distanced tables with an umbrella for each table. The staff was friendly and efficient. I will definitely be returning!! read more

Westwind Orchard was the first stop on an upstate NY weekend getaway for my wedding anniversary. We arrived at around 3PM on Friday and there was plenty of outdoor seating available (all properly distanced!). Unfortunately tasting flights were not available so I didn't get a chance to try all the ciders but I loved the Raspberry! The food was excellent - we ordered a margherita pizza and the rice croquettes. Both were so amazing, I didn't even think to stop and take a picture before digging in. We stayed for quite a while just enjoying our drinks and the gorgeous fall weather. Would definitely recommend this place and would absolutely go back! We actually drove by the next day (Saturday around 1PM) when we were down the road at Arrowood Farms Brewery (we liked Westwind better) and thought about stopping in to pick up some food to take home, but the place was PACKED. You can tell the ingredients are top of the line. We always split a few pizzas and apps, I recently discovered the rigatoni pomodoro which is now one of my favorites.
