It's been 5 years since Gunther had his first knee replacement and we knew his other knee was going too. Made a call to Westside And quickly was given an appointment to come in. Over the past several months our aging cat Lucky has been seen by Dr West for digestive issues. He's been cared for by other vets in the past, but none have taken an interest in diagnosing his issue like she did. She was very caring and thorough as she figured out his problem. She tried everything, but sadly the time came for him to go to sleep. Through it all everyone at Westside was professional, kind, caring, and compassionate! I was traveling / extended stay and needed a veterinarian. Took a chance and was glad I did... Dr. Eastwood was knowledgeable and straight forward. After a bad vet visit at Mayfield Vet Clinic, I was nervous to see another vet. I knew I wanted someone who would treat not only my dog with kindness, but also myself. Dr. Robertson quickly eased my nervousness as she cared for my dog. She was professional and made me feel as though I was a friend. She treated my dog as though he was her own, and helped talk me through everything she did. She asked multiple questions to get a better feel about my dog, and made me feel heard when voicing concerns about prior treatments. On 2/20 of this year (a Sunday) our small dog was attacked by a group of pit bulls. He was severely injured. Called Westside vet for help. The on-call doc said he would only see him if we paid up front. I said we could pay on Wed. He refused to see him. My service dog died as we waited till morning. They were more interested in money than saving a beloved and needed family member. I suggest you not use them. read more

I love this place. I take all 6 of my small dogs there. I have seen 3 of the 6 vets and have decided to use Dr. Jackson as their primary vet, only because I wanted to try and stick with the same one. Most of my dogs are elderly and have health or behavioral problems so I have to be very choosy about the vets I use. The building is very clean and spacious and there is room outside to sit and/or walk the dogs. Lot of parking. I never have had to wait very long before seeing the vet. Highly recommend. read more

I moved here 3 years ago with my 6 Cane Corsi. I was a nervous wreck! Moving from my veterinarian back home was very hard. We had a fantastic relationship. The first thing I noticed is that these veterinarians make a great team. They help one another and work together to make sure their patients get the best diagnosis and care. They follow up well on their patients, they know my dogs, they are not scared of my dogs, and handle every slight situation with professionalism and poise. Dr. Eastwood even carried a litter of puppies to my car one day! What vet does that??? A great one, that is who! If an answer is not known they will find it. I am so happy I chose their office for my first visit. I know it will be the last office I ever step into for the treatment of my beloved furry children. read more

This clinic owns Warners the one that we went to that we were not impressed with. Knowing this explains A LOT!!!! We used to take our horses to Westside until we started to receive the same customer service their as we did at Warners. Maybe it is just a requirement to work there you must be rude, condescending, and not smile. We now trailer our horses to Mayfield ky (20 miles away) and have for the past 5 years. We know A LOT of people who do the same thing with their horses because of the poor service received there. It's one thing to pay a lot of money for something, but it's a whole other ball game to pay a lot of money for something and get a crappy attitude and care to go with it. Good luck to you and your pets if you go to either clinic. Maybe you will have a better experience, but for me and everyone else that I have talked to about them and their service we will never be back. read more
