Murray Animal Hospital - Voted Murray's "Favorite Veterinarian" 7 Years in a Row!!!

Like most animals, she's nervous about going to the vet, but the staff members were petting her and reassuring her the whole time. They were extremely proactive, getting blood work done to check everything and make sure she was okay. I usually go to my family vet back home, but I was very pleased with the service that I got here and I would definitely recommend this place!

VMC put my dog on Enacard and Salix, which seem to work (I had to increase the dosage from 1/2 a pill 2 times a day, to 1 pill two times a day). However, the medicine was doing its Job. We had a follow up appointment (I was unaware or forgot about) a week later. Nobody called me from VMC to remind me about the appointment and nobody called me for days after I missed it. Hell, they didn't even call for a follow up on the dog, even with the prescribed medicine lowering the dogs blood pressure. I gave Murray Animal Hospital almost 500 dollars to have no answers and ran out of money. What little I have let was going to refill my dogs medicine at VMC, but when my dog ran out of medicine, they wouldn't refill it or release permission to Murray Animal Hospital to refill, either. They wanted me to pay another examination fee before they refilled the medicine? I argued with them for a bit before hanging up, money hungry

The staff there and the vet techs couldn't be more helpful, understanding, and always gives you comfort. We are moving out of state and I feel like I am leaving part of my family at Mineral Wells. I just pray I can find a good Dr. where I am going. Let me just say, God Bless each and everyone of you at Mineral Wells. Norm & Rhonda Hegyi

He literally noted that Rusty was dehydrated, but he didn't even bother to run basic tests or ask for a fecal sample to see what was actually wrong. We explicitly told him that Rusty had puked up a worm, and we even pointed it out directly on their own diagram in the room. Despite knowing that, they still skipped the tests. Instead of keeping him to stabilize him or running real diagnostics, they just let us walk out the door with a dehydrated animal. Being nice doesn't replace doing thorough medical work. This isn't the first time this clinic messed up either. In the past, my girlfriend's family trusted them with their dog, Tippy, and the clinic actually lost him. Between losing a family dog and cutting corners during a medical emergency, this place is just careless. Because they skipped the right tests when it mattered most, Rusty died. If your animal is actually sick, go somewhere else that won't skip the important steps.

I would not recommend Flanary Veterinary Clinic if you expect thorough care or clear communication…read more I have brought my dog here for multiple surgeries over the years, but my recent experience made it clear I will not be returning. When I requested my dog's official lab records, I discovered that following his 2023 surgery, no urolith sample was ever sent to a laboratory for analysis meaning we never received critical information on what kind of stones he had. The clinic owner herself stated that the doctor's notes from the 2023 surgery showed only "tiny tiny 'sludge'" in the bladder, so a stone analysis was never sent off. Consulting another clinic confirmed that a 2023 cystotomy surgery was not even necessary since there were no actual stones, only sludge. My final visit on a Saturday was extremely disappointing. The doctor rushed in and out of the exam room in under 10 minutes. I was never shown my dog's X-rays, my questions were left unanswered, and his primary issue a leg injury where he wasn't putting weight on his leg was completely ignored. He prescribed antibiotics without even communicating it to his assistant, who nearly checked me out without the medication. When I brought these issues to management, Dr. Flanary reached out admitting it was the doctor's first Saturday working independently and offered a free recheck. I sent a detailed explanation outlining all of my concerns, but received no further response or follow-up. Offering a free visit does not fix a complete breakdown in clinical care, communication, and basic patient evaluation. Save yourself the frustration and find a clinic that takes the time to properly evaluate your pet and address your concerns.
