0/5 Very disappointing experience. We rented a boat and were told a golf cart would meet us at the tram to help transport our belongings. We met them at the tram as instructed, but after we got off, nobody showed up. We had to carry all of our belongings over ourselves, including two very heavy ice chests and fishing gear. After we had already carried everything over, someone finally showed up with the golf cart. At that point, my grandpa said, "We don't need your help. Good job about taking $50 from me, though." Then, when we went back to check the rest of our group in, we were kicked out and accused of "hostile behavior." We paid $50 for a service that we did not receive, and instead of trying to resolve the situation, we were removed. Overall, a very frustrating experience and extremely poor customer service. We would not recommend this place. read more

great customer service and communications. They provided great directions on where to meet, were on-site before we got there - so there was very little delay getting into the water. Great boat, great instructions, great day on the water. Only issue was that the boat was not completely full of gas upon receipt - so filling it up upon return was a little complicated. read more

Super amazing day rented a two-story boat with a slide took all the little ones. We went on a Monday. The lake was empty. It was fantastic. The staff was awesome. They answered any questions that we had along the way in a super timely manner. Can't wait to do it again. read more

They had a fast fun boat! We rented a tube for extra family fun! It was not boat in the picture it was clearly a little more "faded" but it was the same model they describe and lived up to everything the boat I rented was expected to do! So we were extremely happy. In fact out of all the companies I've rented from including lake pleasant marina...westside was the best by far! Very professional. Owner answered quickly when I text with questions. They have videos they have you watch so you can become familiar with each type of boat before you rent it. They have very nice staff that meets you at lake to drop boat in water for you and they go over everything including any specific tips for the specific boat. I'm grateful to have found westside boat I'd use again in a heartbeat! read more

Can't recommend the guys at Westside Rec enough! It's full white collar service, they pick you up from your car and get you in the water. We aren't too "boat friendly" but have driven before but they took the time to go through all the things we didn't know and even reviewed basics of driving etc. From the ease of picking us up at the parking lot to picking us up and then driving us in the boat back to our car....couldn't have asked for better service!! Thanks to covid and a compromised immune system, I have been quarantined for about five months. My family and I decided to risk a lake day in the name of my birthday celebration and everyone's collective mental health. I chose Westside because of apparent ease of getting on and off the water. It wasn't as easy as I was hoping. They were late to meet us so we had to call them. When we were bringing the boat in, there were multiple trailers and trucks at the ramp and we had no idea who to go to. Both processes felt disorganized. That being said, the website is well organized and the reservation process was very easy. We very much enjoyed the boat although it was in rougher shape than we were expecting. The raft we rented came pre-inflated which was nice on one hand but a bit of a hassle trying to move around the boat. Finally, we were called off the lake at around 1:30 because of a storm coming in (we rented for a full day). That was super disappointing and it made the entire boat rental rather expensive since we missed about three hours of our alloted time. read more

We had a great time. Guy was amazing and super friendly and very helpful. We loved the way they tow you from the car into the water while you're on the boat. We used the big jet boat with the Bimini cover & it was perfect for towing the kids on the water toys. We had plenty of room on the boat and would do it again. Once on the water we found out steering to the right was very difficult and could barely turn to the right. We told Guy about it and he didn't automatically assume we did it and advised he would look into it and fix the issue for the next person. Unfortunately, because of that right steering problem we couldn't pull into the dock properly and dinged the front of the boat, but he said the repair would be at minimal cost to us. During all the madness my friend drove down from Oregon and we were hoping to get out of the house the water. Guy was quick to respond and confirmed had jet ski rentals available. Easy to make the reservations. We arrived early and they were already there. Checked in and did safety and video of the jet skis. Then they drove us down to the water. Unloaded and loaded us with the trailer made it really easy on us. The entire experience we seamless and wonderful. I would recommend this company for sure. You have made a returning customer. We rented from Westside Recreation on Monday - Memorial Day. We had an amazing time out on the lake. The pontoon boat we rented was in perfect operating condition, clean and gassed up so we didn't have any hassle. The best thing for us was them picking us up at our cars. We simply through everything straight on the pontoon and they drove us down to the boat launch. They came back to pick us up and did the same thing. We stayed on the boat until we got back to our cars. How simple is that. NO hauling ice chest - towels - water toys or anything else. It was a great time. I called Westside recreation last minute trying to rent a boat for Lake Pleasant. They promptly return my texts and I was able to book this twin jet boat for the following day 8am-4pm. Overall it was a good rental experience, the guy that came out was very friendly, we were able to load everything onto the boat and we were shortly dropped off at the dock no issues with the boat itself overall it was nice. The boat could use some cupholder replacements most of those were missing but besides that I would rent from them again. Fuel for the day was about 15 gallons at 2.97/gal...not too bad. Rental cost was above average $600+ but still decent. read more

Our boat is out of commission but the family still wanted to do our social distancing at the lake so I called and rented a 22' Pontoon from Westside Recreation. The rental was super-easy to do over the phone and once we arrived at the lake the next day we were on the water in less than 30 minutes. The boat was clean and ran perfectly. We had fun tubing all day! But the best part was cruising into the ramp and Guy was waiting there to pull us out. Again, in less than 30 minutes we had everything off the boat and we were ready to go home. Our family and I used this company when we were in lake Peoria . Awesome staff made us feel welcomed when we rented the boat and we were in the water a storm decided to hit we called the boat rental place said we were ready to get off the water they said they were on it we were 9th inline just to stay safe and away from other boats and wait for a call to get pulled of the water. This crew and company was on it we were literally going through a monsoon it was scary as hell but we had to keep our composure for the sake of the little ones. So two years ago I had a couple good experiences with this company but their boats aren't very well-maintained... The one we took out yesterday Tahoe v8 had broken gauges and the seats were torn. If you're looking to get out on the water and don't care about the boat you have this would be a good company because at least their boats run well!! I've never had a boat that stranded me from this company so that is a plus! Yesterday was a bit of a mess with drop off and pick up as they were pretty late each time and a bit confused as to who was picking us up. The man who drove us said they have a couple of new people in the office so things should get a bit better soon but don't use them if you are in a time crunch... The reason I went with this company initially was because they had better boats than the marina offered and their prices are pretty fair. read more

They were extremely thorough when it came to boat safety as well as the inspection of the boat. The boat was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Our day on the lake was incredible. We did the half day rental and honestly that was long enoughN even though we were having a blast I don't think I could have stayed out any longer than we did. We were on the lake from 830-1 and enjoyed every minute. I would recommend anyone go with this company. They are extremely professional and friendly! I was surprised that we were able to even get a pontoon as it was the Fourth of July weekend. I submitted a request for a pontoon and within 10 minutes I had a response! The whole experience was great! Easy to book, meet up place was easy to find, instructions were easy to understand and the people were all great! Everything went smoothly, however the only part that was a little confusing was at the end when we got picked up, which is understandable, there are multiple pontoons, boats etc. being picked up at the dock and it can get a little confusing as to who is going first. Great day on the lake. Guy, the owner has top notch customer service. We got to the marina early and he was early. Loaded the boat with our stuff. Guy drove us right up to the dock and loaded us in. We had a wonderful day on the lake and it was all because of Guy. My family rented a pontoon boat for the day. There were six of us in our 50's and 60's and Guy was so helpful . He helped the ladies load onto the boat and was so considerate . The boat was very nice and had a great stereo. We also rented the tube which was big enough for two people.
