They've been on the waiting list and wanted to check out the fleet of boats included with the membership and get out on the water, and we were happy to tag along! We ended up on a pontoon with a full shade cover, which was a huge plus. Since it was a super hot August day and we were out during full sun, having complete shade made a big difference compared to a half-shade boat. We were also given a tube, which the kids were VERY excited about! We did have to wait a while before getting on the boat even with our 1pm reservation, but our friends were going through all of the membership information and learning how everything works. It just took a while to get that started. While we waited, the kids had fun feeding the fish the fish food, and of course we ended up grabbing a few snacks from the shop. One area that could use some improvement is the parking and signage. It was a little confusing figuring out where to go. We initially turned off in the wrong area, had to drive back up, and then continued on to find the guest parking and rental area. The walk down to the marina wasn't marked particularly well either, although we eventually figured it out. Once we were out on the water, though, it was beautiful! The lake and surrounding mountains are gorgeous, and it was such a fun way to spend a Sunday. One thing that took us a little while to get used to was that the lake traffic goes counterclockwise--it felt a little strange at first, but we got the hang of it! It did seem like they may have been a little understaffed while we were there. There were member boats coming back in, families waiting to head out, and other people picking up and returning rental boats, while we only saw one person working behind the counter and another who was busy getting boats ready. It may have just been the staffing for that particular Sunday, so I can't say if that's typical. Overall, we had a great day on the water! The kids had a blast, the boat was comfortable, and the scenery was beautiful. I think our friends may be signing up for the membership, so it definitely seems like they got a good feel for what Lake Bartlett Marina has to offer. We'd definitely go back for another day on the lake!

We were left stranded in the middle of the water, sitting in the heat waiting to be towed back. Instead of taking responsibility, the company immediately tried to shift the blame. They told us they needed a mechanic to determine if it was "user error," and now, days later, they're saying they likely won't refund us. That's completely unreasonable. We paid for a working boat and got a breakdown within an hour there's no justification for that. The worst part is how they handled it. No accountability, no urgency, and no concern for the fact that we lost our entire rental time due to their equipment failing. I would strongly advise against booking here. If their boat fails which clearly can happen you'll be stuck out on the lake, wasting your time in the sun, and then potentially blamed for it with no refund.

My friend and I rented a Surrey double bike at Tempe Town Lake, and from the moment we walked up, everything was effortless. The staff greeted us with a smile, got us checked in quickly, explained everything we needed to know, and had us rolling in just a few minutes. It's always refreshing when an activity starts with such friendly service. Once we hit the path, we spent the next hour cruising along the lake, taking in the gorgeous waterfront views, people-watching, and laughing our way around every turn. There's something so nostalgic and carefree about riding a Surrey bike--it instantly makes you feel like a kid again. It was the perfect mix of sightseeing, light exercise, and quality time with a friend. If you're looking for a unique date idea, a family outing, or just a fun excuse to get outside with your bestie, I can't recommend this enough. It's one of those simple experiences that ends up creating some of the best memories. Pro tip: Arizona's sunshine definitely doesn't play around! Pack the sunscreen, bring plenty of water and maybe even throw on a hat before you head out. You'll be able to relax and enjoy every minute of the ride. We met them at the tram as instructed, but after we got off, nobody showed up. We had to carry all of our belongings over ourselves, including two very heavy ice chests and fishing gear. After we had already carried everything over, someone finally showed up with the golf cart. At that point, my grandpa said, "We don't need your help. Good job about taking $50 from me, though." Then, when we went back to check the rest of our group in, we were kicked out and accused of "hostile behavior." We paid $50 for a service that we did not receive, and instead of trying to resolve the situation, we were removed. Overall, a very frustrating experience and extremely poor customer service. We would not recommend this place.

We arrived early to enjoy lunch and drinks at Dillon's before our 2pm cruise. Check in 30 minutes prior and then set off for 90 minutes on the water. Adults are $30, kids $15, toddlers free. On the boat, you can sit inside on the main level or up top and outside. Grab some snacks and a beverage from the bar to really luxuriate. The captain narrates the cruise and gives great information about the lake, the dam, and the wildlife. As for wildlife, we saw a few bird species and wild burros on shore. There is a restaurant in the marina. Food was delicious. All the staff we encountered were very nice and hospitable. Rented boats, kayaks and water toys. Very easy to do. This place is very pet friendly. We brought our black lab with us. If you can snag one of these 5 cabins you will not be disappointed. We can't wait to come back. Had the anchor worked properly, our experience would have been much better. The customer service was great, but not being able to safely anchor significantly impacted our day and kept us from fully enjoying the rental. I was looking for a rudder for my wakeboarding boat and called 3 California dealers, each of which had some excuse not to help. So I called out of state to Action WaterSports and Christian in service was very pleasant and said he could help me. He called the manufacturer in California, ordered the rudder, got it delivered within 3 days and had it shipped to me within 2 days. Less than a 1 week turnaround. What was even more impressive was that Christian called me to update me on my order status 3 different times. In my 10 years of experience owning a boat, it is a rare thing to find anyone at a boat dealership, other than a salesman that is trying to close a deal, that will call you back, let alone follow through in a timely manner. We tied our tubes together and floated down the river. We couldn't believe how clean the river was and the rest areas were litter free. This trip renewed my spirit of our country. Also the the Safety team at the end of the ride. 2 were stuck in the tube at the end of the ride and weren't able to get out with a semi fast water and started to float away but there was the was the Safety Patrol to rescue them. 1 person in our party walked with a cane and after they got him out of the tube they stuck with him and even escorted him up to the bus and wanted to stay until the bus arrived. You'll be able to spot the bighorn sheep along the cliffs better! After the cruise, I'd recommend grabbing lunch at the Tortilla Flat Saloon and taking a drive along the Apache Trail. Just know that part of the trail is unpaved with switchbacks and steep grades, so take your time and make sure you're comfortable driving those kinds of roads. It's a really unique experience with incredible views, and you'll eventually end up at the Roosevelt Dam. It was the perfect Arizona day and a wonderful way to experience the beauty, and history, of the desert.

We toured the lake, saw fossils on the Canyon Walls I didn't know existed, saw Big horn sheep and beautiful scenery. The food was really good with smoke portions, Dr. Sky finished the evening with a discussion on the Blue Moon, Venus, Jupiter and the elusive Space Station. A very enjoyable trip snd memories. I highly recommend this for a family, romantic evening or just an evening out.
