10/6/2018. I recently went in and ordered 2 pizzas on homecoming night. The order was to go and I was told by the girl who took my order that it would be 30 minutes. As I was sitting at the bench waiting I was watching employees coming in and out of different rooms into the food prep area talking. Some answering the constant ringing phones. NOT any of them washed their hands I saw the sink get used twice the whole time I was there. No gloves or hair nets while prepping the food multiple people touching the containers back and forth ( the same people that answered the different phones and handled the transaction of money and cards for payment and touching their hair face arms etc. As a health conscious person and I am waiting for a heart transplant so my immune system is being lowered I notice how restaurants prepare food etc. I am very susceptible to illnesses and germs. I did not eat the pizza that was made and do not think I will return to Westside Pizza in Montesano. This place has good pizza at good prices- can't ask for much more than that! Visited the weekend before last on my way out to Lake Quinault. Business had only 2 other patrons at midday on a Saturday, lots of seating, all tables. If I remember correctly there were tv's but I wasn't paying close attention. Had a coupon for buy one medium get a second free. Ordered a sausage 'n' jalapeno as well as a BBQ chicken (bbq sauce, chicken, bacon, onions, and optional pineapple) with no onions. Total came to just over $16, average for chain restaurants. Loved the BBQ chicken pizza, and that the sausage 'n' jalapeno pizza had fresh jalapenos- super spicy! Did not love the red sauce, but I'm not really a red sauce person. They also have a takeout deal for $13.99- a large two topping pizza that comes with a 2 liter soda and bread or cinnamon stix. The pizza here is alright. It's a little expensive for what it is but I'm happy to support a local business especially right now during the pandemic. They currently have their indoor dining closed and are offering takeout and delivery. They do deliver quite far which is nice living in a rural area. I used to frequent Westside Pizza ALL the time when I worked in Montesano. Their lunch special was great! Always different Slices. Always piping hot. I came In Today at 11:30am. I brought five people with me. The slices were all luke warm. Someone actually complained and I heard the waitress at the counter tell him that their policy is to serve all of their pizza before selling the hotter slices. It'd be one thing if the warmer actually kept the pizza hot, but it was disgusting. A microwave would have done a better job. I will start out by saying the pasta is EXCELLENT! I ordered a "Caesar salad" for $7 and got about a half cup of lettuce, about 5 croutons, and some salad dressing. NOT a $7 salad. We also ordered bread sticks and cinnamon sticks. Both breads were over cooked and hard to chew and the sauces they gave us with them were cold (marinara for the bread sticks and frosting for the cinnamon sticks). When we asked them to heat them up, they told us "no, because we can't put those plastic containers in the microwave." So my kids had to try to get the rock-hard frosting out of the container to put on the rock hard cinnamon sticks while the apathetic server looked on. We paid $47 and the only thing we actually enjoyed was $19 for 2 small pasta servings. I don't think we will be going back. For those prices, I expect a little more....edible food, I guess. The atmosphere is pretty uninviting and the gal at the register wasn't very nice. It was freezing cold in there, my girls were shivering. Everything was served in plastic containers and they brought us plastic forks to eat our pasta with. Our dipping sauces were served to our table in tiny plastic lidded containers (cold) and not nearly enough for 4 people with a serving of bread sticks. Disappointed. read more

We called them as their box states that they have a satisfaction guarantee. We called and asked for the pizza to be replaced. They picked up the burnt pizza and replaced the pizza. No problem. We ordered pizza again tonight (making sure the order taker read the order back). The management was VERY rude to my son & his friend when he picked up the pizzas. He had the nerve to complain that we returned a burnt pizza. Even after the hard time he gave my son, we got the pizza home and it was made wrong again. We didn't call and ask for them to remake it. I asked about the salads knowing they would probably say they were good anyway... But the kid who answered the phone was funny and quick thinking... His name was Jake, he told me they're good and I said of course he would say that. When he went to total me up he said "a pepperoni pineapple pizza and the worlds greatest salad"... I will start this review by saying I am not rating based on 1 single instance. Main let down came on a Friday night call in delivery order. After calling in and placing an order which was repeated back by the employee who took the order it never showed up. Upon calling back a little over an hour later we were told there was no order placed! Ok maybe a mistake on their part? Definitely not on our part as our number was on file there as well as address which we were asked to confirm on original call. They proceeded to argue with us over the phone rather than offering to even take the order again and deliver it. So I decided maybe it best to place the order for pick up. Reluctantly they took the order and were told 20 minutes it would be ready. Almost 35 minutes later went in to pick up and it's not ready, not only that not even in oven! Ask to speak to manager which was no more than a teenager, she did not offer to make it right apologized it wasn't ready but refused to take ownership of lost order. Again not based on this experience but certainly this was the worst of all experiences here. Blah crust and very skimpy on toppings with very thin sauce. Cheap pizza at cheap prices are a plus in some cases especially delivered but not if service is horrible. I will say a positive is they employ a lot of local teens! They're decent. I've had their pizza, salad, and pasta and the pasta is the best of the three in my opinion. Not really a great place if you're not a meat eater. They only have meat options for the pizza by the slice at lunch. No plain cheese or veg. If you're going for meatless, salads are large but expensive (about $8) if you want anything more than tomatoes, cheese, and croutons. If you are doing anything other than the pizza by the slice for lunch, avoid the first half of the noon hour. Please understand, I'm giving this place 3 stars for being GOOD. To me, 4 stars is for a place that I'm really impressed with while 5 is reserved for someplace that absolutely blows me away. The building is a little rundown. There's okay parking available. The inside was dated, but clean. The restrooms were clean too, which was appreciated. The girl at the counter was very friendly and told us about the specials and I tipped over 20% because of how nice she was. We ordered a large pepperoni and beef, cheese sticks, and a 2 liter which is a carry out special. It was just over $18, which was very reasonable for lunch for three people. The cheese sticks were okay. Not my favorite and none of us enjoyed the flavor of the marinara. The pizza though was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of the beef. This is a chain so maybe that's why it was so good, as a lot of independent places don't season their beef, giving it just that plain "blah" flavor. Not so here. We all enjoyed the pizza and agreed we'd consider returning if we were in the area. Overall, a GOOD experience. Consider trying it if you're in the area. We're glad we did. read more
