One day this spring I heard some strange scratching sounds coming from the ceiling area in one of my home's bedrooms. I went outside to look up at the roof's overhang and noticed that a couple of birds (Starlings) created a hole in the soffit area and were in the process of setting up a nest in the soffit and roof area. Jester also sealed up the opening that the birds created and reinforced other areas that could have been a potential opportunity for the Starlings to begin nesting again. Different type of problem...same great service!!!! As the temperatures began to drop I noticed some rat droppings in and around our outdoor BBQ/kitchen area. Because I had such a great experience with the team at Westside Pest Control this past summer, I knew exactly who to call for this new pesky problem. Jeremy came out and walked through the area with me, pointing out possible problem areas he could see. He explained where the rats were getting into the BBQ, and because they had already found their way in, they would likely continue to come back - gross! He helped block off the area, until I could find a permanent solution and set out a number of traps. 10 days later Chris came by to clear and reset the traps. And another week later, Chris came by again to clear and take away the traps. While here on his final visit, Chris noticed an opening under the sink area that the creepy rodents were sneaking in. He covered area with mesh, so that I didn't have to worry about unexpected friends popping out at me when I opened the cupboards under the sink....THANK GOODNESS! Each and every dealing I have had with the guys at Westside Pest Control has been a great one. They are incredibly professional, and seem to really care about their customers - taking extra time to answer all of my questions, so that I felt comfortable and confident with what was happening around my property, and the solutions they came up with. I had googled and contacted last year November 25th 2019 Westside Pets. I was shocked to have seen a visitor ( "Jerry" we call him) in our house!! I had to contact them again on May 5th 2020 as we again saw now a "cousin" visiting, but had not seen any sighting for 5 months. November 2019, They had put 30 traps in our whole house, garage etc which is very spotless clean and they suggested we get our garage door weather stripping fixed as it was short a " pinky nail" size and the lil mouses can get in there. The 30 baits were not touched, with no traces of poop, but there was one lil hole we missed to plug which they did this time and also they put some copper / steel mesh covers under our sink area to cover up past contractors circle cuts in the walls area. We know he came through that one lil hole over by the stereo wires that are wired professional into the walls( seamless) and suggested it could be coming possible from the neighbours too! Mouse cruise around to see what is next store but since we have no food there was no reason for him to stay. I had sent a note to the office after my visit. We realized we had a pest problem in our attic, and we called Westside Pest Control. The entire experience was extremely positive. The woman who took my call was knowledgeable, she asked a number of excellent questions in order to understand the situation properly. She also worked very hard to have someone here as quickly as possible (within a day!) Which was really important to us, given that we had some uninvited guests. The gentleman who did the service (Scott) was exceptional. He knew exactly what to do, explained the process, took photographs to explain what was going on and worked very quickly too fix the issues. Scott came back on the second day (as promised to finish the job and it was his day off i had the opportunity to speak with mark the owner, he was friendly and I could tell he cared about resolving these types of problems for his clients quickly and efficiently. The pricing was very reasonable, and clear form the very beginning when I spoke with the young lady on the phone at the start of the process. Best of all, there is a one year warranty on their work! After moving into a new home we noticed a nasty smell in a bathroom and called Mike at Westside Pest Control. He came over the next day, found a dead squirrel in the venting from the bathroom, cleaned up, checked the attic and closed up access points then promised to come back the next week to check on things. The smell persisted so the next week when Jeremy came to check on things he did a more thorough clean up and checked the traps in the attic etc. Still the smell persisted a week later. I emailed Mike about the smell and he called back the same day and he and Ryan came by a day later and took apart my bathroom exhaust fan. They found two more dead squirrels - problem solved. The guys were prompt, courteous and very good about explaining what they were doing and why. Mike took pictures of the attic to show me what was going on up there and gave recommendations on further ways to prevent animals from getting in. They cleaned up thoroughly after themselves each time they visited and gave good value for the money. We have been the customer of Westside Pest Control Ltd since 2016. they are very reliable and always get their job done very efficiently with the smiles. Recently, we found the nests of wasps near our front entrance of our house. Without any doubts, we called the westside pest control right away, the receptionist was very professional and helpful. She booked us an appointment immediately. The first technician came, I think his name is Caylin and has done the treatment and we are sure he did good job. However we still found wasp in and out near the location of the nest after treatment. it was not completed removed. Then we called and the second technician came after three days of the first treatment, his name is Thomas Fehr, he did a great job and had gone above and beyond to ensure the job is well done. he also let us ask any questions and answer the questions with care and great knowledge. We were very pleased with Westside Pest There actually was a mix-up, as the technician who came thought he was going to be spraying the outside only and didn't bring a partner to help move any furniture, as we were told would happen. He also didn't know that there was a concern because of an expectant mother, which we were also told he would know about. Despite all that, though, he responded wonderfully when I explained the situation. He adjusted his approach, grabbed different equipment from his truck, took the time to explain about the pesticide being used, and he seemed to take great care with how he was applying it. He also found the source of the infestation and sprayed the outside for good measure. So I'd say that we were quite satisfied with the service, despite the mix-up! Very knowledgeable and up front. They explained that because we live in a townhouse, it was impossible to eradicate mice unless all adjoining units were controlled, so they could not give us the guarantee that they normally do. Oh well... We couldn't ask all our neighbors to join in. The technician took time to point out where the possible access points were, and where there were signs of mice activities. He then blocked all access points the best he could and set traps and poison stations where there were activities. We caught 1 mice with a trap within a few days. And at the first follow up, the technician found that the poison was eaten quite a bit. By the end of the 8 week program, we no longer saw traces of mice activities in our upper floor living areas, which was what we hoped to achieve. We now still see mice droppings in the first floor garage from time to time, but as they explained to us from the start, it was expected. read more

This company is wonderful, and the owner really cares. My husband I affectionately refer to him a Ratman, not the hero we want, but the hero we need. We moved into our new home and were shocked to discover rats in our crawlspace. Mike and his team came into our home and sealed up our patio (the entry point), and baited and trapped the rodents inside our crawlspace. I have used Westside Pest Control in the past. I naturally thought of Westside for assistance when I noticed an insect nest in the exterior of my home. I was able to contact them via email with a photo of the problem and they were quick in their response time. Booking the service appointment was very easy. The cost of the service call along with possible additional costs if additional nests were noted during the visit was clearly explained by the company. Their technician arrived in the designated appointment time window. He was very courteous, knowledgeable and provided additional helpful advice as to how to manage future recurrences and what to expect after his treatment. I can't say enough good things about these guys. Ok, I'll try. I had an extremely difficult problem to solve, almost impossible. Westside Pest Control threw everything they had at it and were completely dedicated to finding a solution for me. They tried different things and ended up coming to my house somewhere between 4-6 times for hours at a time. All this for one fee, which included a guarantee which they certainly honoured in spades. No doubt they lost money on me, but my case was very rare, and they really did revel in the challenge. Did they solve it eventually? Yes they did and we've been happy and peaceful ever since. We called West Side Pest Control when we suspected some mice in a home that we purchased. We called West Side Pest Control and they sent Scott over the next day. Scott was very friendly and knowledgable. He sealed all access holes and solved our problem very quickly. While he was he he identified that we also had a pavement ant problem in our front walkway. He came back the next week and treated the payment ants. Am happy to say that all of the ants are gone! Scott was amazing to deal with, very knowledgable and patient in answering all my questions. We have silverfish in our 40+ year old house and I figured we'd just have to live with them, but I decided to call Westside to find out about their service. I made the appointment for within the week (and then had to change it, no issue there) and gave us a 2-hour arrival window for the date. They gave detailed, written instructions on how to prepare and what to expect. The technician arrived at the time and he was very professional. Reasonably priced in my opinion. They can't guarantee all silverfish will be gone, but in the 2 weeks since their visit we haven't seen any live silverfish which is what I was hoping for. read more

I contacted Westside Pest Control Ltd to have a wasp nest destroyed and to have my house and garage checked for rats and possible entry ways for rats. Westside was great. Friendly and honest, didn't try to up sell anything, provided the service I needed in a timely friendly and efficient fashion and gave me lots of tips for preventative measures. Great pro service from their website, online chat (who's a real person btw) to Andy, the exterminator they sent to address our ant and wasp's nest problem. Big props to Andy who was courteous, friendly, informative and even gave us an honest assessment on our wasp next problem. Upon inspection, he told us it wasn't as bad as we thought. He only applied what needed to be done and saved us money in the process (versus charging us for the full wasp nest treatment which he assessed was not necessary). Last year when I called to get someone to come for a huge wasp nest they were booked solid and apologized for not being able to come. She then recommended another company for me to call who she said were really good- wow...helpful??? Yes!
