Beware taking an instrument for repair. I took an older horn and knew what needed to be fixed. The repair technicians came back with the answer that it needed a re-pad for $200, and offered me no other options. The horn was gone for over a week, and I had to wait for another week for it to get back from Tacoma before I could pick it up. Being a band director for 10 years, learning instrument repair from one of the best flute builders on the east coast and being a musician for 30 years qualifies me to know that a $200 re pad was not the only option for this horn thta had two leaky pads. The shop its self was OK for supplies, but don't use this chain for repairs. There are several stores that come up in an internet search, and they all end up at the same website. If you have to, talk to your child's band director first to see what needs to be done. You may be charged lots of money you don't need to pay. read more
