Tim Cromwell is an excellent teacher. Friendly, honestly cares about the children he is teaching, and also patient yet firm. His method of teaching is great and I do not struggle getting my daughter to practice the piano and she looks forward to her lessons. She's only had one recital andTim made it very special; all the other students performing seemed to love him as well. You won't be disappointed if you get your children or yourself lessons with him. read more

C Notes Music is a locally-owned music studio offering lessons in piano, saxophone, clarinet, and low brass. Owner, Tim Cromwell, teaches all levels and ages, tailoring each lesson to the needs and abilities of the individual. Teaching virtual lessons during the lockdown. Currently accepting new students. * Kids and adults * Beginner to advanced * Caring & supportive environment * Learn to read music * Establish a clear & beautiful sound * Build proper technique * Practice with purpose * Prepare for an upcoming performance * Discover the fascinating world of music theory * Develop a discerning ear * Learn from a certificated music teacher * Recital and performance opportunities provided * Weekly lessons * Breaks that generally follow the school calendar * Summer lessons also available Tuition is monthly instead of by the lesson. Rates are $120 per month for weekly 30-minute lessons, $170 per month for weekly 45-minute lessons and $220 per month for weekly 60-minute lessons. You pay the same amount each month, regardless of how many lessons there are, so you always know how much to pay. The cost of books and materials is the responsibility of the student and their family.

History

Established in 2005.

Moved to Lacey in 2010. Opened for business in Shelton in 2020. I began teaching music lessons while I was still in college and continued teaching on the side while I taught music at private schools for the next 7 years and then worked in public schools for another 7 years. In 2018, I quit my day job to teach lessons full time, as well as performing music through a music ministry.

Meet the Business Owner: Tim C.

Music has fascinated me as far back as I can remember. I have been involved in music since grade school. I enjoy a wide variety of music styles and have studied many instruments as well as music theory. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from Walla Walla University and a music education certificate from the state of Washington. I have taught preschool to high school music in various capacities and have had an active music studio since 2005, which became my full time job in 2018.

If you are looking for the very best teacher for your private music lessons, then look no further. Our daughter Madilyn has been through a lot with losing our house in the CA wildfires and moving to a new state with no friends and just starting school. It was a lot for her and to say it didn't effect her confidence would be a lie. She has become very reserved and shy but has a heart of gold. Mr. C as we call him is extremely patient and teaches her in ways that she can understand. She is learning to play the piano and it is outstanding how far she has come. Her confidence is up and it has allowed her to have an outlet that isn't playing on a tablet or watching TV. The kindness, the care, and the overall service of the lessons has given her a sense of pride. That is priceless. read more

Tim Cromwell is an amazing teacher... and is prices aren't too bad at all! I am only one of his many talented students. Tim does a very good job at teaching people how to learn to sing. I get taught voice and Tim has helped me improve so much! He has you do recitals and if you work super hard you might get to preform at fairs and other events. I really enjoy taking lessons from Tim.
