Mom's gift was quality time with all her kids together in one place. As they get older they scatter and they all do their own things. Yet little to no recovery was being done, as aisles had items on the floor, not front faced etc. Partially done planograms on several aisles just left half done with carts of product left on the aisle. It has been years since i did much of this and what i learned was that the costs were now so high that i was tempted to scrap the whole idea . A neighbor suggested i bring some of the pieces into Michael's on Western in Beaverton. I am so glad i did . The framing professionals there know what they are doing and they are patient in assisting you to look at choices. The cost i have found to be less than half of what i was quoted elsewhere. The turn-around time is two weeks or less. The finished product in every case absolutely met my expectations. The result is that my home is really reflecting my own art and taste. The shop is located in the historic Providence Academy building, which is the perfect setting for quilts. We had a great chat with the owner who is super friendly and knowledgeable. The shop isn't huge but has a unique aesthetic feel, and a good variety within that. She offers quilting and crafting classes which my wife is planning to sign up for. We recommend checking it out.
