Climb is a bouldering gym that caters to all skill levels. Bouldering was on my bucket list and since we had the day free, we made the brief 20 minute commute to the facility. Once there street parking was easy to find. Arriving on a weekday allowed us to have the gym to ourselves. The lady at the front desk checked us in, we signed waiver forms and got fitted for bouldering shoes. The changing area, locker room and gym are downstairs. The gym is a 2 story space that has colored coded bouldering routes a.k.a. "problems" to solve. The beginner level routes were labeled green and since my husband and I had zero bouldering experience, going green was the way to go. The lady who checked us in, I forgot her name but we got to chatting and learned she was a former Naperville, IL resident, was super helpful. She got us started on our first problem and gave us quick and useful techniques as we were maneuvering through. We did a total of 3 problems each and had fun going through them. Bouldering takes dedication, strategy, physical strength and dexterity. It is definitely a total body workout which left both hubby and I sore afterwards using muscles we don't normally use day to day. Regardless it was worth the experience. We got a good workout, had lots of fun and found an indoor activity we could see ourselves doing in the future.

It's not spacious and the seating feels a bit tight when you have a group, but they have a fair number of lanes. There were several families with small children there, and the staff was quite helpful (bumpers for lanes, devices to guide the ball for the youngest, and finding extra-light balls). Everything worked fine. The food was quite delightful - mostly fried snacks (mozz sticks, cheese curds, onion rings, mushrooms) along with potato wedges, pretzels, and lots of dipping sauces. Hot, fresh, tasty. Pitchers of water, soda, etc. Perfect accompaniments for bowling. Look forward to returning with the grandnephews.

This rink has a great fusion of both old and modern aesthetics. The lobby feels new and welcoming , with Komets merch and history, a snazzy snack shop, and entertainment for the kiddos. They even have barstools with the logos and colors of NHL Teams. When you step into the rink itself, it's like a whole different facility. They've done well to maintain the structure, but it doesn't take long to see that the place has been around awhile. The locker rooms are small, but manageable and decently clean. And lets not forget about the spectators. They have heaters placed over the stands to keep warm, as it does tend to get cold. My favorite part about this rink is the unique "shooting corner" as I've always called it. The far corner near the scoreboard (opposite the Zamboni garage) is made available for puck shooting and the like. I've had numerous record games back there while my dad is on the ice for mens league. I am glad this place continues to thrive and provide a place for some good ol' Hockey. The Adult League (KAHC) is well organized and is very competitive. Kenosha Ice, I salute thee!

The bads... There's ceiling heaters on the home side stands, but none for the visitors. That's pretty low-class. Disappointed at the officiating here. Missed calls on both sides... though we were the guests and we tied the game 5-5 after coming from behind. Small lobby, but nice little section in the back with children's books.

While the greens get a lot of use (and abuse sometimes) they are fast and roll true. The Sand Traps need some TLC (but remember this is a county course), and there are times when play is slow. Over all, Pets is a great course for the person that just plainly enjoys the game. They have multi tee boxes that make if fun at any level. We did 30 minutes of axe throwing. This is different than any axe throwing we have tried since it has a virtual board that flashes to the cork. It's like Top Golf, but with axes. You can play traditional bullseye style or a variety of games. Tristan Crist himself showed us the games. (I'm guessing this is his business attached right to the magic theatre.) it was fun, but I would never recommend 30 minutes, even for two, an hour is better. $50 versus $70 for the hour. We then bought the mini golf bands. Nine holes for $15/per person which also gets you the band for all the rest of the games. We played pool, shot basketball and played tic tac toe, but there is also bags, skee ball, air hockey and more. There is a golf simulator, it's expensive for the hour. But available. A couple suggestions would be...no popcorn! It's everywhere...the couches, the mini golf, the floor and more...lots of kids. Also, more cost racks, definitely one upstairs is needed. Get rid of Yard Jenga, it's too loud! It's startling and not necessary with all that's available. There are drinks available in cans and pizza plus a rack of snacks. I think there are links to work out, but I will say the decor is cool. The concept is col, I just hope they will fine tune as time goes on. Good Luck to Area 262, love new businesses!
