Dink, drink, pink, blink, wink…read more We hosted a charity event recently and the great people at Dinx Social Club helped make it happen. This is a great looking pickleball facility with nice courts, a bar and plenty of parking. There's a private area, a golf simulator, and lots of seating. - clearly marked courts so it's easy to dink - nice setup with plenty to drink (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) - trendy lounge areas, decor, seating and classy looking (not like a gym, notes touches of pink) - paddles and balls are provided, no need to blink - you'll have a great time (even me, the ultimate beginner, got to get back to lessons) ;) Our event was a success, with lots of pickling and fun had by seasoned players and beginners alike. The staff was great and helped everything run smoothly. I'm not a good enough player (yet) to purchase a membership but this would definitely be fun to rent a few courts for some time with friends.

My friend hosted a bunch of us at this brand new gorgeous pickleball (and everything else) club in honor of her 50th. The people who work here could not have been nicer. I'm pretty sure we overstayed our welcome, but they patiently waited for us to end our celebration - and with a smile! The main attraction is pickle and they have gorgeous pickleball courts for just that. The technology is also pretty amazing with digital scoreboards and even a replay feature. This will come in handy when i play with my children who seem to cheat at all racquet ball sports. They also have golf simulators, karaoke (coming soon), pickleball classes (for youth too) and an adorable shop with pickleball attire. As for food they serve one of my favorite local businesses, hometown. And they have a self serve pour wall for those thirsty for a glass of wine. The only thing i kept thinking was missing was nighttime bar food, but I see on their website that food trucks will be making the rounds nights/weekends so they have that covered too. I foresee myself coming here for pickleball classes, GNO, hosting kid playdates and fun nights out with other couples. While my country club has great pickleball options during the warmer months, this is a great addition for the majority of the year when the weather is less than ideal in Chicago!

I love all these pickleball clubs popping up all over town. I will especially love them when winter…read morerears its ugly head! My 9 year old has become obsessed with pickleball and wants to play all the time. He has a few weeks between his day camp and school (parents worst nightmare) so I signed him and a friend up for a half day pickleball camp here at Slate. While I was unfamiliar with this new pickleball club, his friends mom had said good things about it. He absolutely loved it. We had the opportunity to sign up for the camp daily and he did 4 days. There were some different kids each day, but he said there were about 8 kids each day. I picked up one of the days and they all looked like they were having fun in this beautiful facility. He liked it so much that I ended up signing up for one of their junior classes this fall, which he is super excited about. My husband is also going to look into what they have for him since it will soon be too cold (sigh) to play pickleball outside of our club. Their staff also seems really great. I've emailed on a few occasions for info about the camp, asking what level class my son should be in the fall, etc. Lindsay, the Program Manager, responds very fast and is super helpful. And I met a few of the staff members when I picked up my son and they were all very nice and enthusiastic. I started enjoying pickleball a bit more this summer so look forward to playing a little pickle myself here as well.

I hear their tennis classes are great, but unfortunately it's a little too far for us in Glencoe…read more We have 4 tennis players in our family (including myself) so spend a lot of time on the courts. I recently discovered they have a great match play on Sunday evenings that you can sign up thru USTA. The kids can get USTA points, but it's much more lowkey than your typical USTA matches. My 12 year old has gone twice so far and has really enjoyed it. Jean (who runs the program) matched him perfectly both times and even offers some coaching during the matches. They mentioned it's moving to Saturday mornings for the summer so we'll try to make it a few times and I'd love my daughter to try it as well who is very into USTA tournaments right now. My son is going to try his first USTA tournament in a few weeks and I think will be well prepared for the experience thanks to this program.

Some of the classes are coached at college park and others at Marriott in Lincolnshire. The prices here are a tad higher than at some other northwest suburbs clubs, but this place is well worth the extra buck. The coaches are very very good. Classes are fast paced and very educational. Not only does this place have tennis courts but it also has racquetball, taekwondo, and a fitness club. What a variety! The facility itself is very modern, clean, and has many accommodations. The bathrooms/locker rooms are fanominal. They are always clean, stocked on free tampons, good blow driers, hairspray, free towels, lotions, razors, etc. You want it, they got it. There is even a whirlpool! The upper level is the main floor and it looks over the tennis courts, on both sized of the building. Amazing views! This is what every club needs. People can cheer from above without being on the same level as you, and everyone has a great view of the game. The staff is always very friendly. I give it 4 stars and not 5 because of a few things. The parking lot gets packed and is very hard to get in and out of it. The lighting seems to always make my eyes hurt by the end of my time there... And for some reason I feel like there is something always missing , like a welcoming atmosphere, feel like its missing here.. It feels like you come in play and get out without getting that warm comfort.. Whether you are new to tennis or have been playing for years I suggest you try it out, you are sure to like it!
