Club House: Great food (including Friday fish fry). The pro shop is more of a small retail store. The people that work there are not pros, but they are as helpful as possible. It is not fancy, but it is very comfortable and has a couple of big screen TVs so you can watch the golf channel after your done playing. Course: Beautiful course with watered fairways. While the greens get a lot of use (and abuse sometimes) they are fast and roll true. The Sand Traps need some TLC (but remember this is a county course), and there are times when play is slow. Over all, Pets is a great course for the person that just plainly enjoys the game. They have multi tee boxes that make if fun at any level. Slow down, take a breath, see the beautiful state park around you and hit them straight. I love playing at pets, to me the best of the county golf courses in Kenosha.

Not just Johnson golf course but all golf courses, either everyone plays with a cart, or everybody walks or if you walk you have to move ,not like turtles. Great Golf Course but be prepared to wait for slow people. We finally got tired of waiting 10 minutes per hole to tee off, after the 7th hole we walked off the course. Went to club house afterwards and stated what had happened , and just got a dumb look back. Petrified Springs, ,,( South Hills a gem of a course nobody knows about) , Brighton Dale golf courses from now on.

I started playing golf here a few years ago with a friend who is a member. I have always looked forward to finishing the round and having lunch in the bar or on the patio. I recommend the Pinzas. They also make a great fried chicken sandwich. Recently they shortened their operating hours for the kitchen, so I have been forced to dine elsewhere after my round of golf. Insert sad face. We chose the vegetable bowl with grilled chicken added which we found to be quite tasty and truly enough to feed two people. They do have one issue if you're sitting outside. The speaker system for background music is quite annoying and has some kind of problem, it's all bass and it similar to having that annoying car somewhere around you at a traffic light with that deep bass sound coming and seemingly vibrating things. The last time I played, the greens were fast and my drives went a lot further. The downside is that the course definitely needs more water, I can imagine that the greens get really difficult when it's the peak of summer heat with little rain. The sand traps on several holes need some major work. They are over weeded with some marked ground under repair. It's priced appropriately for the condition of the course.
