The Rangers are complete Nazis as they ride around telling you how the field of play is and question how many people are in your group. Shame on you if you tee off early, my buddy and I had a tee time at 11am and one of them said go "immediately" after the group that is currently teeing off only to have the wishe-washee Asian dude question us why we were on the course early. read more

If you're looking for an ok course with overly ambitious rangers who treat you like teenagers at a mini-golf course, this is your place! We scheduled a group of 8 guys to golf for a bachelor party, 7-27-2019 with 4 carts. The person who reserved our tee time gave us one tee time. The starter ranger wrote down all of our cart numbers and what order we were golfing, we tee'd off and all started to drive down the fairway. He literally waited until the 3rd and 4th carts took off and zoomed in front of us to stop and ask if we all just tee'd off. We said "yes, we have a group of 7 (one couldn't make it) for a tee time of x:xx". He yelled at all 3 adults in our 30's and 40's who weren't even drinking and said we had to wait.. so we did but reluctantly. The rangers followed us intently throughout the first nine while both groups of professionals just trying to enjoy a good time together golfing. Meanwhile they had two other big groups of people blaring music from their carts and bumping around who seemingly went un-phased and un-noticed by the rangers. We were then followed closely on our toes by the tee time directly behind us the entire front 9 because they didn't give us two tee times OR inform us that we could not golf as a group, which was the point of this outing. The bachelor ultimately had to split his time between the two groups on the front and back nine... what a memorable experience... . There were 2/18 beautiful holes and all others were fine. We especially loved the sandy/water traps that weren't designed to drain. The club house needed new carpet 10 years ago but the staff were prompt, tolerable of the other patrons who were exuberant but nice/ had good intentions and were also super nice besides whomever scheduled 8* guys for one tee time. Oh and also the overly ambitious rangers waiting to scold us until after we started. That's what people call "bad business" which is why they have earned a harrowing 1 review. Hopefully management takes this review into serious consideration for future review and makes changes and discusses with their staff these complaints and uses them for recommendations moving forward on how to treat their patrons. played oaks today and the greens were okay, but the rest of the course is in ruff shape, fairways were just awful condition...really a shame as they have a nice layout. I really like golfing at Edgewood. It's a great low budget course that is moderately maintained. If you expect a ProAm course this is not for you but If you're a weekend duffer or a semi competitive player this is a great value course. read more

Great golf on a hot humid day followed by breezy conditions, sporadic rain until a severe thunderstorm hit as we ran to the car. The greens were in outstanding shape. We were more than pleased and played well with the demo clubs. The clubs were an excellent selection. This is our go to spot when we are in Wisconsin. read more

Good for leagues, not individual play if you care about golf. League dues are relatively pretty cheap, and they have four 9s (and when flooded, a 5th 9 is put together from two partially under water), so lots of variety to stave of monotony. As most people aren't in leagues, ehh. Costs now aren't as special. The flooding can hit three of the nines pretty hard, with highly detrimental effects to the playing surfaces. Other swaths of ground are just annoying to play off/out of/on. And the beer carts go in the wrong direction, slowing service and leading to more disruptions as they race up from behind. The marshalls have calmed down from earlier comments. With the average quality of player who goes there, a few big hills where some walkers get winded on way to next tee box, and some of the wonky greens and other things, it will be a damn slow round if many people are on the courses, and it seems they finally accept they can't do much about it. read more

Nice golf course, very well maintained, friendly staff, reasonably priced. 36 holes, so if you play there often, you can mix it up a little bit. Only negative I have is the lack of food service. Would be great to enjoy a sandwich or a burger after a round, or maybe a Fish Fry. All this being said, I joined as a member this year. Have always had a great time here. read more

Edgewood offers a wonderful set of 36 holes that is kept in very good shape and priced very reasonably. The entire staff is friendly which made my round very enjoyable. I even bought a new golf shirt due to the sale in the pro shop. Great place to play golf for all skill levels. read more

I had a 6:50am tee time for just me and a buddy of mine. We were told to pair up with two other people. My friend and I did not want to pair with anyone because of the whole covid situation and didn't think it would be a huge deal. There was nobody waiting on the path after us and we were about to tee off at 6:52am when the starter came and kicked us off the course. It was very unprofessional. We didn't think it would be such a huge deal because there was nobody waiting behind us and with the whole covid thing going on why take the risk? I will not attend this golf course again. read more

Very friendly family owned 36 hole golf course. The Oaks course is the more challenging of the two and requires a cart and has some very well laid out holes routed along the Fox River that includes an island hole. The Pines Course is amenable to walkers and a little easier. John Freeman is an excellent teaching pro with all the necessary equipment to help you fix your game. During this Pandemic they have gone the extra mile to ensure good social distancing sanitizing and power washing their carts. The Clubhouse is open for take out drinks. The Pro Shop is well stocked with all your golfing needs. For outings John can provide an app to track your scoring and everyone else's in real time on your smart phone or when the Clubhouse reopens to groups on several flat screen TV's. All in all a good value for your $. read more

Great course with very responsive Pro Shop. Love the Oaks and Pines courses. Due to flooding, several holes on each course are under water, but they have managed to craft together 27 very challenging holes so that tee times are readily available. read more

A few friends and I had a foursome at Edgewood and teed off around 7:30a on a Saturday morning in September. The course was moderately busy but there were no long lines or holdups on any of the holes ahead of us. It was early and we took our time for the first few holes, thoroughly enjoying ourselves because it was a beautiful morning. Somewhere around the 4th hole, we noticed the course "marshall" stalking us as we played. He watched us from his cart atop a nearby hill until he finally drew close enough to tell us we were playing too slow. No problem, we told him. We'd pick up the pace. And we did. A hole or two later, we noticed the threesome behind us was on our heels, so we offered to let them play through. After all, a threesome plays quicker than a foursome. They were totally cool about it, in no hurry at all, also enjoying the morning. Rounding some trees by the 7th hole, we find the marshall, who must've been about 70 or 80 with the attitude of a retired cop, spying on us from his cart. Fed up with the hassle, we confronted him and he was suddenly adamant that we were playing too slow, that we weren't keeping up with the pace he was trying to set for the course. None of us are pros, and we weren't in a hurry to play, but by no means were we disrupting the flow of the course. We only ended up holding up two parties behind us on the entire front 9, and let each (one threesome and one twosome) play through. Starting the back 9, the marshall was following our every shot, making us all extremely uncomfortable and agitated. I'm rusty, having not golfed in years, so I ended up picking up my ball a few times in the interest of moving the game along. On the tenth tee, we were set to tee off when the sixsome party behind us hit into our fairway, almost hitting us as we stood there. We necessarily were forced to wait while they searched for their ball and cleared the area for us to play. The marshall couldn't comprehend this and needless to say did not give us the benefit of the doubt, and again stopped us. At this point he was very flustered and insisted he would have to move us up a few holes. We rejected this preposterous offer as we'd paid our money (almost $50/head) like everyone else and were here to play the full 18. We calmly explained that we had sped up our game and were doing everything in our power to play more quickly but there are intangible circumstances in the game of golf that can delay the pace, i.e. smaller groups playing behind us, other people hitting into our hole, etc. Needless to say, having to stop every hole and argue with the marshall certainly wasn't helping us move along any quicker! In the end, we got tired of the blatant harassment and insisted that he either leave us alone or refund our money. The man acted like we tried to assault him and called in backup. Thankfully, cooler heads in the clubhouse prevailed and the course manager agreed to refund our money. We explained our side of the story but they weren't having it. They were all to quick to grab our money first thing in the door, but had zero patience or tolerance for anyone that wasn't less than a 10 handicap. Obviously I'll never be giving them my patronage again, nor will anyone I know. read more

The course is nice but the employees could be nicer. My father in law and I went on 6/12/16 and they made us pay more than it was online. We showed up ontime, earlier even and part of a twosome shows up late so the starter says we can go in front. By the time we get ready to tee off this other person shows up. The starter says all 4 of us have to get put togerther because they are booked solid. All the way through the first hole down the the 2nd tee box I look back and there is nobody on the first tee box. The 4 of us eventually split up around the 6th hole and there ends up being nobody behind us until the 15th hole. Booked solid. Yeah right. Serious doubts about going here again. read more

Very cool place to be when the weather is nice. I love the mini golf! Our kids love it! I kinda hate how you can loose your ball in the water, that's not my fav. I usually have to pay for another ball because we cannot any way shape or form get it out. It is the perfect place to get out of the house for a bit! read more

Very disappointing customer service. When reservation was made, young man chastised my husband for talking too fast? Wrong reservation was made; not picked up on when paying @ Pro Shop. Finally corrected after starting our first hole by starter. Very frustrating & embarrassing. Pro then proceded to tell us that they would NEVER have given us our request/reservation on a weekend; changed his story a few times when we corrected him. Never received an apology. This was the 3rd time this has happened @ Edgewood; they all need to get on same page! I forgive my brother's rude mouth AND I forgive the Pro insinuating we were wrong & lying. However, after 20 years of lessons & golfing @ Edgewood, we will not be back. read more

We always golf at this course as its one of the father in laws favorites. Important to note that there are 36 holes at the course. An older layout which is mostly tree lines and a newer course mostly bunkers and water. Gas golf carts with an older but usable form of GPS distance measuring. Overall the golf course is in good shape and it's not overly busy. We usually play in the early morning so people are moving rather quickly. Average prices in my opinion. Clubhouse is average but had everything you need. read more

Before scheduling a tee time, call and ask if there's any golf outings being played that day, apparently they don't explain that to anyone calling in for a tee time. I recently tried to played 18 holes, it took me two hours and 40 minutes to shoot nine and I had to quit 3 holes into the back nine because of time. When I complained about it to the golf shop they apologized and just said are bad. I think the correct response should've been, here is a rain check, we don't want to lose you as a customer. read more

Management condoned serious harrassing behavior on the golf course against a woman and child, since the other party was 4 guys who golf there often. There were many lies and accusations made but no attempt was made to resolve the matter. I am very dissappointed in how the entire matter was handled. read more

Worst experience of my life. My family and I were harassed while playing on the pines course, the easier of the two. Not by another group, but by the marshall. He followed us from the 4th hole to the 13th. He was rude and unprofessional, telling us to hurry up while standing 10 feet from every shot. I have been golfing for 20 years and I have never experience such poor service in my life. We even politely asked him to give us space to enjoy our round and he ignored us. Worst of all, i called the desk to complain and they sent the certified pga professional. John Freeman, who did not even take the time to listen. He talked over us, was condescending, and threatened to call the police. At no time were we threatening, yelling or swearing. We are all professional adults (teacher, nurse, professor, and engineer) and were treated like children. If you do not play as fast as these men want, they will be watching your every shot and pressuring you. Avoid this course unless you are a seasoned pro or a par shooter. read more
