Best dentist I've been in south florida. Everyone here complaining about waiting, have you ever gone to any appts and not wait! Come on now! Seriously get a grip guys! They are busy for a reason! They're great dentist they have all machines and tools there, I had 2 extractions done they even put me to sleep which was honestly the best thing ever ! I wish I had found them earlier I woulved been changed to them! They are knowledgeable and caring, everytime I call they answer my questions and the doctors are caring and actually listen to you and doesn't try to up sale any procedures to you! People need to stop complaining about little things and honestly see the specialist for what they truly are and their professionalism. Period! Worst dentistry ever. My appointment was from 3:30pm to 4:30pm for a regular checkup and cleanup. I'm leaving the office at 6:05pm after more than 2 hours waiting. So unprofessional and inconsiderate to patients. First and last time that I visit this clinic. In top of that, if you have Delta Dental, they will charge you out of pocket for "cancer screaming" which is the doctor touching your tongue "looking for a tumor". I'd recommend specifically telling them not to do that because they'll charge you after the fact without asking you first if you're ok. I really can't imagine a worst clinic. Stay away. read more

Worst dental experience ever. I had an 8:00 appointment and upon entry learned they had a staff meeting until maybe 8:15-8:20. Several individuals in the waiting room were frustrated as the receptionist was not in attendance and we were all left waiting without knowing what had happened. My husband and son also went as new patients and we all felt like the practice does nothing but try to increase their income at your expense. They billed our medical (and they were considered out of network) as well as dental which I was not aware of and would have questioned. I choose the practice as they were in network for our dental insurance but I would rather pay out of pocket than go back to this practice. They pushed additional, unnecessary procedures on all of us. I recently visited this dental office as a new patient after relocating from California and was very disappointed with my experience. I scheduled a regular cleaning through my insurance (Delta Dental PPO) and expected a standard visit. Unfortunately, it quickly became clear that this practice prioritizes volume over quality. To start, I waited 35 minutes for the dentist to see me. When she finally arrived, she spent no more than 10 minutes with me, removing plaque but skipping teeth in the process. What was even more concerning is that during the cleaning, she became distracted, calling someone out in the hall to come and finish the procedure since she was said her next patient has arrived. Without a transition or a goodbye a very young man, who is not a dentist or dental hygienist (and not listed on their website), came in to polish and floss my teeth. While he was polite, he was clearly inexperienced. The entire cleaning was rushed and missed critical steps that I was accustomed to from my previous dentist, Dr. Serena Hu in Mountain View, CA. Dr. Hu's cleanings were always meticulous and thorough--this one was the opposite. To top it off, I was charged $75 out of pocket, which had always been fully covered under Delta Dental PPO back in California. Overall, the staff was friendly but unprofessional. I won't be returning to this office and cannot recommend it to others. If you value quality dental care, I suggest looking elsewhere. read more

After a terrible experience during my first visit, where I was charged $900, I decided to give the office the benefit of the doubt and called to give them another chance. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. They quoted me $750 for a routine teeth cleaning and additional services. When I expressed that I wasn't interested in those services, it felt completely disregarded. How can you expect someone to pay hundreds of dollars, especially after sharing their previous experience? I would not recommend this place to anyone. While the doctor was nice, at the end of the day, it's clear that this is more about business than patient care. read more

They pressure you to get things you could have avoided if they did more conservative dentistry.

I went in for the first time for an exam and cleaning and was offered procedures that were not necessary and not fully covered by my insurance, leaving me with an out of pocket cost of almost $800. They do not give you the option of traditional dental treatments, or those covered by your insurance, instead they want to sell you their "best" treatments, which just so happens to be best for their bottom line. When I declined their suggested procedures and requested to move forward with a regular cleaning and polish, I was told that the dentist had become too busy to complete my cleaning and I would have to reschedule for a later time. I've never had this kind of experience at a dentist before. Yes, I understand it's a business, but they seem to be more interested in making sales than treating patients. read more

I love going to the dentist & getting my teeth cleaned. However, Weston Modern Dentistry was the worst experience ever received for such a simple cleaning visit. After 2 hours and 15 minutes I finally left without a cleaning. I am so sorry I ever set this appointment up. I truly find it hard to believe that patients gave them good review's. Long story short , I've worked at a candy store in the past and they know just how to work with my budget . Katherine is very informative and trusting. Be very careful with this place! Took my son there last february for evaluation and cleaning! We were told he had major issues! Specifically intradental cavities. The "financial advisor" gave us a quote of all the money we had to pay and the insurance didn't cover. Well, happens to be, he was doubling the amount of deductible we have to pay for each cavity. Almost $2,000 out of our pocket. We called the insurance and they informed us the numbers were inflated and they were not allowed to charge us more. Wrote several emails trying to get a response from them and still waiting. Also he charged me for the fluoride even though was covered by my insurance too. End of story: we went to another dentist and no such terrible cavities problem exists! If you visit this office question every single amount and call your insurance! read more

I brought my 17 year old son in who has a beautiful smile and gets his teeth cleaned somewhere else every 6 months! they charged me an additional 132 dollars and my insurance 733 dollars!! First of all, the office has modern technology and I'm not blaming the dentist, who is knowledgeable, but I have major issues with how they pressure you to get services not needed and the most disgusting act was a lie by the "finance manager" who told me that she spoke to my insurance and they requested a particular procedure. That was a blunt lie - I walked out and called my insurance to confirm and they never received a call and they told me they will never dictate what a patient should do. It's one thing to get recommendation another is to be forced - bad business practice. I also just received my claim and they did something I did not authorize. Then, the dentist we saw left and then never saw the same dentist during visits. We purchased an "insurance" plan for the family, but we always had to fight to get the prices stated on the plan. If you are looking for a Dental Office that is professional , caring and does excellent work ,go directly to Weston Modern Dentistry. I hadn't been in several years and was concerned about my teeth. The doctor developed a simple care plan pointing out the different issues and the order of priority that each had to be addressed, along with the benefits coordinator going over different financing options. The hygienist , Norma, does outstanding work & is a true asset to the practice . It shows that she loves her job. Dr. Sirage with her knowledge and care makes you feel at ease , and Jhali, the benefits coordinator makes you feel like family . Like most people, I highly dislike going to the dentist. Having someone drill in your mouth isn't necessarily my cup of tea. I moved to Weston a few years back and left my dentist who was in Kendall, Fl. So you can only imagine the drive I would do just to see my dentist. After a sudden tooth pain, I decided to search up a dentist a lot closer to home. Weston Modern Dentistry was the first that popped up on my google search. Like always, I was nervous of even step foot into another dentist office. I was greeted by two staff members upon my arrival I explained to the OPS manager my current situation and how I was a new patient. She can tell by the look of my face that I was nervous lol. "It's going to be fine, we'll take care of you" were the words Jhalisson (the OPS manager) said to me and offered me something to drink. I was immediately relaxed and knew I was in great hands. Many of the staff members greeted me during my x-rays and when it was time to walk to my room and meet the doctor. Dr. Lorenzo is a saint! Her way of relaxing me was amazing. I felt welcomed at ease by her and her staff. Making my experience more personable other than just another client. Needless to say my experience with Dr. Lorenzo and her team was phenomenal! My family and I have been patients of Weston Modern Dentistry since it opened and were always treated well until today. I was contacted an hour before my appointment by the dentist office and reminded to be on time. However after arriving on time for my 5:30 appointment I waited 45 minutes before asking the receptionist when I would seen. She advised that I would have to wait another 40-50 minutes to see the dentist and the cleaning would be another 45 minutes. I think the office should have let me know ahead of time that I 'd need to wait an hour and a half to see someone given that I had to leave work early in order to be on time for my appointment. read more
