I was a patient since 2016, but because my insurance changed a few times, I had to find other practices--one I left in tears from, another one had a rude and pushy billing rep., and the last one I went to kept cancelling me or giving me a hard time about my pre-med prescription before cleanings or work to be done! Hooray! The company I now work with offers an affordable PPO plan and I'm back! Well, to the practice but they're in a brand-new state-of-the-art office in east Davie. It was the best experience! Carolina at the front desk was efficient and sweet, veteran Janna was exactly as I remembered her: professional, patient, and kind. Dr. Barry Bluth was the gentle giant that I remembered, and veteran Kelly was thorough and so helpful at checkout. I can't even begin to tell you what a difference this team of highly skilled and kind professionals make for me and to their longtime patients. Dental care is complex! It can be a traumatic experience and lead to poor health if you're left untreated for long periods of time. I'm so thankful to be back! Dr. Bluth and his staff are always right on point from scheduling, reminders, timelines (very short waits), cleanliness and effectiveness. I get my teeth cleaned three times a year based on Dr. Bluth's recommendation. Since I started that level of frequency, I have had brighter teeth and fewer problems. Once when a crown popped off, they were able to get me in that same morning. In about five minutes I was out the door with the repair that has lasted. I went to get a cleaning and have somethings checked out they completely forgot about my initial need and when I went in they gave me an appraisal for some work that I didn't even need.! Then they told me I had to come back 3 months later for my cleaning !Which was what I thought I was originally going in for!. When they were taking my Xrays 2 girls had to come in and do them took them about 40 minutes because they didn't know what they were doing I ended up going elsewhere where they did care about my teeth n not try to up-sell me on things I didn't need. I agree with most of the complaints here. They are after the money and the office staff sucks. I waited 4 minths for my appointment. They sent endless text messages and reminders. The day comes .the higentist i requested and have only gone to was doing another person. They tried to shuffle me off to another. I told them no in no uncertain terms. The staff showed very little caring Its a shsme because Penny is very good. I will never go back until i get an apology ftom them. And we know that will never happen. It is hard to find a dentist that is considered a specialist let alone a dentist that really cares and you get both and more with Dr Sheri Bluth. I have a very complex dental case where I needed to have bad work corrected and Dr Sheri was able to help me completely reverse my dental problems and now I am able to eat normally again and have a beautiful smile that feels natural. I'm very disappointed to find out that my favorite dentist Dr. Sherri Bluth is no longer at Davie Dental. When I called to make an appointment they told me she wasn't the office any longer. Dr. Sherri has been my dentist for approx 7yrs and has taken care of all my cavities and has really taken an interest in my overall well-being. I have never had such a caring dentist and I hope to find out where she works now. I went there for the first and only time last week. All they did was take X-rays even though I had a cleaning scheduled. Then told me I had 4 cavities and it would be around 240$ to fill them. I thought this was odd since I e never had a cavity before... (so I go to another dentist and they said my teeth were perfect....) So they rescheduled my cleaning and scheduled me for a filling. IM ON THE WAY TO THE OFFICE AND THEY CANCEL MY CLEANING AGAIN. But said I could come later any time after 3:30 for the fillings (my appointment was 2:40). Holy cow I love this place! My step daughter went in for some pretty serious work on her teeth and loved the place so I thought I'd give them a spin. The office is super clean and you walk in and are greeted like they already know you. I arrived a few minutes before my appt. time, waited for about 20 minutes but then was immediately seen by Dr. Barry Bluth, the son. What's cool is this is a long time family practice. The father started way back when and now the son and the daughter are also dentists there. I understand that Dr. Bluth had hitching posts out front when he opened! It's cool because it really creates a family atmosphere and all of the patients seem to really love them. I needed a cleaning and some bonding done so after my consult with Dr. Bluth, the assistant came in and gave me my a much needed cleaning. I am not happy sitting still so I appreciate that she was efficient and thorough. I got my much hated xrays that turned out to be not so bad and then waited for Dr. Bluth. He explained that my teeth were in good shape and no cavities. Yay! But I did need some much needed bonding as I brush too hard on some of my teeth. Dr. Bluth was is extremely gentle and pleasant while he worked. My teeth look like a million bucks! The rates were extremely reasonable and I'm definitely going back. Now here is where my stars were removed the woman giving me my cleaning is not skilled with customer service, she called my partner my husband which did not affect me but when I corrected her saying SHES my gf the unnecessary questions were flowing. Now I'm usually the first person to react but there was a sharp object in my mouth and I tried to professional for her. After years of putting my kids and their expenses first I embarked on a year-long treatment plan to correct several problems that had developed in my mouth. Traumatized!!!! Had the worse experience getting a root canal. A film was left in my canal and couldn't be repaired in the office. Then had take extra time out of work to go get this solve which wasn't. The office that I was sent to was horrendous!! I felt like I was in someone's garage. Everything was out dated and it wasn't removed and was told that I'll be okay with this in me. Weeks later i got an unknown infection which was caused by this root canal. I had my first appointment with Davie Dental scheduled for 9:00 on a Monday morning. I was told to show up early, so I arrived at about 8:35. I wasn't taken back until 9:30, and then I was told that Davie Dental does not do teeth cleanings on the first visit. Instead I could only have my impressions taken, and then I would have to make another appointment for a cleaning. That was when I got up and left. The office called me after I left and told me that the delay was due to a number of walk-ins who came in and were seen before me. So I unfortunately cannot comment on the quality of Davie Dental's dental work, but I can definitely say that I do not have time for businesses like this. read more

I can't say enough about Dr. Sherri Bluth. Not only is she a perfectionist, and honest, she thoroughly evaluates all your teeth ( x-rays and photos) , including gums, smile, face shape, age, and skin, everything, to be sure you get the best possible outcome suitable for you! Dr. Sherri takes her time at each visit to be sure any dental work lasts long term and is not just a temporary short term fix. Dr. Sherri truly cares about her patients and I have had dozens of appointments with her as well as the periodontist. As you can see from my picture below, my teeth were badly fractured and I wanted them to last me decades. I finally finished my upper teeth and love to smile now. I now can't wait to begin my lower teeth!! I am blessed to have found Dr. Sherri, a great dentist, who is super knowledgeable in her field and graduated from the prestigious Univ of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine!! All in all, I found Davie Dental to be a poorly managed facility that only prioritizes the money in your wallet. NOT TRUST WORTHY. The worst part about my short time here was the misdiagnosis. I originally came in for some discomfort on a tooth that I knew was a cavity. I intended to have it filled and they insisted we needed to take x-rays to make sure so we spent money on that. They then informed me that I had SIX total cavities. Keep in mind I had already had a few filled last year at my original dentist up north (I'm in Florida for school). I wanted to trust them and they insisted that the "cavities" would get worse if we did not act so we filled 3. The third one, they began to drill when I was not numb causing pain. They didn't apologize for it. I saw my regular dentist once I came back up north and to no surprise, he said that I had no cavities. What a joke, this place just wants your money. If you end up coming here, prepare to spend hours on waiting. An estimated 45 minutes just for a cavity fill turns into 2 hours of constant waiting because the dentist goes back and forth between multiple patients. The two stars is only because the dentist seems knowledgeable about dentistry, but seems to enjoy ripping people off. read more

I made my first appt with them for a cleaning and impressions when I arrived they told me they only did impressions on the first visit which they did not tell me that when scheduling so I had to make a second appt for a cleaning. On my second visit I waiting for over an hour past my appt time and when I finally was seen I had to listen to the staff in the next room talk poorly about their patients and then after my cleaning the dentist wanted me to come back in two weeks for a checkup. I just had three dental implants placed to replace teeth that I had removed when I was much younger and and my priorities were out of whack! What a phenomenal experience. I was given this office's name by a Davie town official, so I was not surprised to find everything running smooth with no issues getting my information and insurance verified. They are very computerized, and everything is digital, including the special xray imaging system which is state of the art. The worked out very reasonable payment arrangements, and my procedures went without a hitch. This has really given me back my confiidence to be able to smile big again!
