This seems to be a reoccurring thing to others as well.

First, I was actually told from a previous surgeon that my teeth needed to be cut and they couldn't be fully removed. Dr. Hernandez assured me that I didn't need this and could have them all removed - my nerves and everything were completely fine (and I'm SO glad I listened and had them all removed). The procedure was beyond quick and easy - and they even gave me a heated blanket for the procedure (this shows the extra mile they take here). I was in and out in an hour. I had VERY minimal swelling and needed no pain meds or anything really by the second day. Some ice and soup and I was fine. My brother also had his wisdom teeth removed here and had the same, great experience. Dr. Hernandez was incredibly kind, and if you're like my anxiety-filled self, you'll love him. He answered all of my questions and did an amazing job. Every single person here is so kind and comforting. HIGHLY recommend!

From the…read morewelcoming staff, to the consultation where he patiently answered all our questions and the overall results - just fantastic! My daughter had all 4 wisdom teeth removed. He addressed all our questions and concerns and was spot on with everything to expect, both realistic and reassuring. His skills clearly demonstrated as the surgery and recovery went very well and now over 1.5 months post surgery there were no issues whatsoever. I was a nervous mom and am so happy with the quality of care she received! I was also impressed with how well the office is run. They worked with us on scheduling. We never had to wait more than expected to see him, and the office environment was pleasant and friendly. I would highly recommend Dr. Hernandez!

After putting off the idea of having my wisdom teeth removed for several years (I had gone to two…read moredifferent dentists and both recommended it) I am so glad I waited as it led me to DR. Hernandez! The treatment I received with DR. Hernandez and his office staff, I must say, was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in for my initial consultation, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. The staff at the office were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure to answer all of my questions and ease any concerns I had about the upcoming procedure. What really stood out to me was the patience and thoroughness with which the doctor explained the entire process to me during that first visit. It was evident that they truly cared about ensuring I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. As the day of my surgery approached, I appreciated having been proactive in requesting a copy of the instructions at the initial visit- due to different conflicts, I had to reschedule my procedure 2 or 3 times ( I can't remember) so from that initial consult to the date of the procedure was well over 4 months. This was the first time I was undergoing any sort of procedure, so for my own wellbeing, I am glad I requested the paperwork at that first visit! While the pre-op instructions provided the night before were minimal, having the additional guidance ensured I was well-prepared for the big day. On the day of the surgery, everything went smoothly, thanks to the professionalism and expertise of the entire team. I was pleasantly surprised by how little discomfort I experienced afterward, thanks to the adequate pain control measures put in place. My follow-up appointment a week later further solidified my positive impression of the office. I was informed upfront about the risk of infection, particularly in the lower teeth, and advised on what symptoms to watch out for. Unfortunately, I did develop an infection a week later, but the response from the office was swift and efficient. They offered me a same-day visit, although I had a scheduling conflict and went in the next morning instead. The quick incision and drainage procedure had me in and out of the office in under 30 minutes, with clear instructions on how to care for the site afterward. Since then, my recovery has been smooth sailing, and I couldn't be happier with the care I received at this office. I would highly recommend anyone in need of oral surgery to consider this practice for their exceptional care and professionalism. Thank you to the entire team for making what could have been a stressful experience as pleasant as possible. Of note, my initial office visit was last year around November, my wisdom teeth extraction was performed in March and I am writing this review now, to show how much thought I placed upon sharing my experience with anyone who needs OMFS services.

( yes I am that person that pays attention to details like this especially in a medical office) the staff was kind and friendly, but the star of the show was Dr. Michael Theiss! All 3 of my children had the pleasure of being his patients and getting their wisdom teeth taken out by him. He was very professional and answered all of my "mom questions" he explained everything very patiently and kindly. All 3 of the surgeries went fantastic! He followed up-in the evening with me to check on them. The healing process was great they all had very little to no swelling. A week later was the follow up and everything went very well and smooth. According to my children aged 19-25 they all said they rated the entire experience and Dr. Theiss a 100/100 his bedside manner was great and If they had to do it again they would without questioning or hesitation. In my opinion that says everything to me about how wonderfully they were treated and taken care of by Dr. Theiss and his staff. Without a doubt I would definitely recommend anyone that needs oral surgery to this office and to Dr. Theiss.

Alright. Let me settle some misconceptions with this practice. Our daughter is highly afraid of…read moredoctors. Throw in the need to remove 4 wisdom teeth and this is a recipe for disaster. Her dentist wrote the referral and I called the office to make an appointment. I read multiple reviews and was hesitant to make the call. However, I did. While I was talking to the person about the appointment, my fears were realized and I canceled the appointment. I took her to my husband's dentist because he removes wisdom teeth. Once my daughter saw him, he said that she needed to see a specialist. Who came out of his mouth? THIS same doctor! Damn, isn't there anyone else that you could have named? He asked me why I wanted him to name someone else and he said he heard the same complaints. He said that if we could just get past the front of house, my daughter would be in the best of care. He did not lie. I also had a better perspective of the office staff. They were very knowledgeable and efficient. Megan came back to us with the doctor giving us 2 thumbs up. She did great. Here is the most impressive part. When I had my wisdom teeth removed which was in the Ice Age, the doctor made a house call to see if I was good. Much to my surprise, the ice hasn't melted! Megan got the same call. We all give this doctor two thumbs up.

I was referred to this office for my daughter to have her wisdom teeth out by her orthodontist. The…read morestaff was less than pleasant but pushed forward in hopes the oral surgeon would make up for it. (Dr Diaz seemed to be tentative about her medical health issues and I decided to move forward) With that said, his staff was unprofessional in every manner, all they were worried about was getting upfront money even though, being insured. I wish that was the worst worst of it. We arrived for the procedure this morning to find out they do not follow Hipa/OSHA guidelines and like to make up their own rules. They wanted me to turn my minor daughter over to them with out a parent in attendance to go to what they classified as a pre op, start the IV when she was crying and scared, nor would they allow me to talk with who was performing the anesthesia. My daughter was visibly upset, crying and scared. No one should go under anesthesia in that state regardless of the situation. I asked to speak to someone to try and find a resolution. The Office manager came to me (who is the doctors wife per his staff) and the first words out of her mouth in a Confrontational manner was, what is my problem....I stated I didn't have a problem but wanted to talk about the situation and my daughters well being. Her response was either you do it this way or I'm charing you for this inconvenience. She then turned around and walked away while I was trying to speak with her with no concern. I don't know about other parents but, I'm not allowing my child, who is a minor, taken any where, while crying and upset, let alone go under anesthesia in that condition. They had no concern with her patient rights that she is legally allowed, nor able to speak to anesthesia, present to hold her hand and comfort her while she is prepped for the the procedure in a non- sterile environment. I asked the front desk staff to speak with Dr Diaz. After a 40 min wait they decided on their own, to cancel the procedure. It was a mood point as I would not of moved forward in that manner but, their ethical conduct is appalling!! let alone, no concern for the well being of their minor patient who was visibly upset and scared. Shame on Dr Diaz for letting such a thing happen let alone, the lack of concern for his minor patients. Do yourself and your child a favor by not going to his office. I have been in the medical field over 30 years and have never seen anyone treated in that manner let alone, their rights as a patient being violated. I will be reporting his office to the Amercian Dental Association. All the resistance makes me wonder who is administering the anesthesia let alone, the quality of care she would of received.
