Let me start by saying run don't walk away from this practice. I'm 67 years old and I have never…read morebeen through an experience with a dentist like the one I had Saturday. I got to my appointment at 12:45, 15 minutes before my appointment. I was in a lot of pain and I had a very badly infected tooth by 1:30. I started to ask am I going tobe seen? Is there a problem? They said they were very busy because it was a Saturday by 215 an hour and 15 minutes later I got put in a chair. I got some x-rays. Some that were not necessary because I had one tooth that was the problem. I then get put in another room and the dentist said she will pull the tooth and then give me an antibiotic. At that point, the girl came in and started to upsell me on a bone graft . They wanted to do something with the tooth in case I wanted an implant one day. The cost of that that was going to be $1200. I told them please just pull the tooth and that's all. She said she'd check with the dentist I asked again when I'm going to be seen. The dentist came in and said that they were busy. She hadn't had lunch yet, which wasn't my problem. The billing girl then came in and said OK we're gonna pull the truth. She wants to put a collagen plug in the tooth. I'm 67 and unfortunately have had many teeth pulled. I've never needed a collagen plug for $350 and I asked her to just pull the tooth. I called my brother-in-law who had been a dentist and recently retired. I was crying at this point. He said that I don't need any of the things that they wanted to do. The bone graft can be done at the time of the implant and I definitely don't need a collagen plug. Just get the tooth pulled and leave. Don't leave there though until I get the tooth pulled. They had me at a real disadvantage because I was in so much pain and the tooth was so badly infected. Finally around 3:15, over three hours after I arrived she came in and said we're going to pull the tooth. She gave me several shots of Novocaine, she took no care on how she did it and it was painful, then without even letting the novocaine work, she pulled the tooth, which was excruciating!! In all my past experiences when you get novacaine, the Dentist would wait 10 to 15 minutes for the Novocaine to start to work, I almost think it was done purposely because she saw me as a problem. She finally pulled it and gave me a prescription for an antibiotic and ibuprofen. I said thank you and I walked out. So many things went wrong on so many levels. I would never ever recommend anyone go through this and go to this practice. There are too many dentists out there that care to go to a place like this. My brother in law also said in his 50 years of practicing dentistry, he never made a patient in that much pain sit for three hours before anything was done, he never let a patient sit that long that wasn't having an emergency! During all of this up selling and waiting and confronting them, they made me feel like I was the problem not their incompetent practice!! I have only written 3 or 4 reviews about anyone or anything, but this has to be told so other patients never go through what I did.

Doctor Sharon Pearson is absolutely a skilled medical professional and between the office staff and the doctor herself I felt immediately at ease with my decision to try this dentist's office that I happened upon while having a haircut next door. The work that Dr. Pearson had to do was extensive and took quite a few months to complete, but I never feared going to the office for my appointments. The price was fair and manageable and the work was impeccable. Now let me get back to my opening line stating that it's the little things that make the biggest difference. Dr. Pearson uses a little vibrating gizmo on your gums prior to introducing the needle into the gums. I don't know if it's just that the vibration distracts the mind from the pain of the injection, but whatever it is it works!
