It's a good local shop if you need something quick & don't have a car. We stopped by on a sunday evening around 8 and were the only people. yes the owner or the staff walk around and kind of follow you. But it's clearly an immigrant owned business and they really take care of what they have. we were looking for a bourbon to make some hot toddies, didn't really need a recommendation, but we're really just adding a couple of varieties. As we were waiting, they walked right up to us and started organizing the shelves right next to us. This owner reserved over nine parking spaces for the liquor store, leaving the small business sweets shop next door with only two customer spaces. I would never recommend this place of business to anyone. It's very close to my house so I frequent here often as convenience. Last week we went in and purchased 2 items, they claimed my debit card didn't go through. So we used a credit card. Both transactions went through. We contacted them several times to have this resolved either by issuing a refund or giving us the product that was paid for twice. They denied us. They claimed their system didn't show both transactions. Then claimed they couldn't contact their bookkeeping department to verify the charge. They demanded proof which we provided and were still told they couldn't verify anything and to come back at a later date. Mind you we had been in 3 times to resolve the matter. The individual we spoke with was incredibly rude and very combative. I will be contacting Westminster officials along with filing a complaint with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. It is fraud and people need to be aware of how they run their business, and basically steal from their customers. Just as an fyi, a previous time they over charged me, charged me twice for something and I just happened to notice. They corrected it and acted unaware but I'm curious if it has happened before unbeknownst to me. Check your receipts. read more

I stop in this store when I'm in the area. usually things are great. however the other day I stopped in and made a $10 purchase. The owner happened to be helping check people out. he said that my transaction was "pending" and that meant it would be cancelled in about 20 minutes. I checked my account where it had been withdrawn but did say pending. I didn't have time do I asked him to cancel the transaction and I left. the next 3 days the transaction was still there I tried calling 12 times, where they said he would call me right back. terrible experience with one of the workers. He was rushing Me out of the store and making very rude comments. and told me I only had 3 minutes to choose something and leave. And it was not close to closing while others were still coming in and out of the store. He was very aggressive with the way he was being and made The environment hostile. he said the owner was watching me through the camera and made him tell me to leave. Great place to pick up alcoholic beverages and the man who runs the place has always been kind and happy. Nice doing business with him.

This liquor store is really convenient, there's plenty of parking, they have a great selection of local and craft beers and their prices are better than Tipsy's and Total Beverage. It's nice to be able to stop in one place and get everything I need for a party. I haven't experienced the outlandish price differences that Jamie L has. Maybe we are buying different products? But, the prices for the 6 and 12 packs of local and craft brew are on par with other liquor stores and the variety here can't be beat. They have Sam Adams Cherry Wheat year round (yay!) and there are so many craft IPAs, it's hard to make up my mind. I just asked about kegs the other day and yes, they do carry them, and yes, the price is right. I have a keg of Rolling Rock on order for this weekend for $62. Total Beverage wanted at least $75 plus fees, plus deposit, plus they wanted to give me back less of my deposit than I paid when I returned the last keg. I'll be sticking to Westminster Liquors for my keg needs from now on, thank you very much. read more

I got an apartment not far from here. I became a regular. The owner either has the worst case of amnesia I've ever seen or he's just a Richard. After spending $30-$60 a day for 46 days straight, showing him paperwork and my contract with the state to be a live in caregiver, my fiancé showing him her surgically implanted tube, proof that she's terminally I'll and literally playing with the dog every visit... This dude, after having daily conversations with me about numerous things over 46 consecutive visits, miraculously forgets who I am, who my dying fiancé is and proceeded to make what I can only describe as the most uncomfortable visit to any store I've ever been to. Me, 2 ladies in their late 30's dressed in expensive jackets, making small talk about how much I like the store, the owner and his dog... comes and hovers 2 feet from us, rushing in front of us as we're shopping... that thing you do in stores... his wife decides to flank us and tells me not to touch their dog... the one I've played with every day with permission for weeks, they both subtly begin to imply we're stealing which becomes less subtle as this awkward visit drags on. I'm 44 years old. They watched us get out of a $30,000 truck, I've purchased 2 packs of cigarettes and random other things every day for well over a month and a half. It dawns on me. This dude really thinks we're trying to steal... from a store I visit daily. He was being rude to both of the women with me and started being a jerk to me... even after pulling out my scannable membership card, he carried on being a Richard. Dope. I can shop anywhere. Made a wrong turn, and since it was easier than turning around, I went in here again. Then I saw the the prices were literally MORE THAN TWICE AS MUCH as other "Adult Beverage Outlets" and spun on my heels, made that 3 minute drive, and got my bottle of Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout for $2.28 rather than $4.99. That's just inexcusable. Side Note #1: The people in line had a cart full of Boxed Wine. So, maybe that's their target market. I don't know, I didn't check the prices of the Boxed Wine. They've only been open a few months, so they aren't at the Applejacks level of jam-packed-edness, but I'm sure they'll get there eventually. Their prices are about what you'd expect to pay at an established liquor store, but they've got a pretty good selection. And I recently overheard the owner/ manager people discussing upcoming orders, so the selection is just going to get better. If there is something you want the owner is kind enough to order it in for you. I've seen numerous reviews of people not liking the owner... all I can say is that he is a no muss no fuss type of man. I go here frequently and I am typically successful with finding what I need and happy with the customer service. Recently I bought a box of wine from them and upon pouring the first glass and tasting it, I realized it had expired about 7 months ago. I brought it back, even though I did not have the receipt, and I was able to exchange it no problem! The cashiers who helped me were apologetic and kind. My husband and I have been going to this store for 2 years now. I bought a 6 pack of beer right before closing and handed the owner a $50 bill. I chatted with him, took my change and left. It wasn't until I got home that I realized he gave me a $10 instead of $30(I'll never leave a store without counting my change ever again, lesson learned). I returned to the store at 8:30am and again at 12:30 hoping that it was an honest mistake. Left my information with one of his employees and never heard from him. Looking back, I realized that he was trying to distract me with friendly conversation in order to provide with the wrong change. Clearly he had no intention of returning my money or contacting me. I've had numerous problems with this liquor store even though it is the one I frequent most. The owner has a complex, and takes his frustration out on the customer. The last time I visited this store, he blatantly increased the price of a bottle of vodka while I was at the register. The total rang up to $38 and when I questioned him about the price change, he became irate, changed it back, and rudely gestured for the door (the price I actually paid was $33). As a tip to future customers: make sure the price that an item indicates matches the price when you are checking out, and ask for a receipt. A tip to management: take notes from the other employees that work for you, these people have much better customer service skills than you do. I will gladly take my business down the street to your competition (Vineland & Total Beverage) just to avoid dealing with you. Don't go here for CO2 tanks! They give out end of life tanks, then try to charge you for a recertification ($20+) when you return them for a swap. They also seem to be a couple of pounds light compared to getting a refill. BE CAREFUL! This liquor store has been double charging credit cards! THEY OVERCHARGED ME $150. I have brought in my bank statements in from Chase showing the double charges, but they refuse to return they money that they owe me. This was in March and they still have not resolved this issue. Definitely check your bank statements, I have spoken to many of the people in our neighborhood who have similar claims. This place is very disorganized and management implements rules that nickel and dime their customers. My fiancé had purchased a 1/4 keg earlier in the day and I went in later in the evening to pick it up. A female employee acknowledged the item had been paid for and wheeled it herself on a handcart to my truck. I lifted it into the truck and realized the keg was not the same size of the empty keg we traded to avoid the deposit fee for the new keg. I went back inside and talked to the the girl to see if I could just return the 1/4 keg she brought out to my truck and trade it for the half keg and I would just pay the difference. At this time, the keg had only been in my truck for not more than 3 minutes and she called over her coworker to ring me out for the difference in the price between the 1/4 keg and the half keg. The price difference was $37, and I thought I could just have them take back the 1/4 keg that had only been sitting in the truck for what was now 10 minutes, and swap it with the half keg. The man who was "helping" me couldn't comprehend what I was trying to do, so he called a manager. At first he told me all I had to do was pay the difference, then he got confused again, and told me I had to pay a deposit. I told him that my fiancé brought in an empty keg earlier in the day and he said I can't prove that she did because he wasn't working when she came in. He said I had to pay the deposit for the keg on top of the price difference. At this point, I realized why Westminster Liquors could only garner 2 stars on yelp! I would have happily paid more for the same product elsewhere, because I ended up spending more in the long run. I paid $51.15 for the 1/4 keg, and $15 for a big bottle of ibuprofen for the headache they caused me! Save yourself the headache and drive the 3/4 of a mile east on 92nd to Total Beverage. read more

I buy beer in the bottle here. I used to go there exclusively but have branched out to other stores because their coolers tend to run on the warm side in certain sections. Coors, Bud, too warm. The Canadian beer area is cooler. The owner is a good guy. I have not experienced any pricing issues like other reviewers. The club card is free, gives you points on every purchase that you can redeem on future buys. It's a good store, good owner, but the warm beer is why they don't get my full business. read more

I've been shopping here for years, but only because it was close to my house and I'm lazy. That changed today when they tried to overcharge me again. This is not the first time that they tried to charge me full price instead of the sale price. Previously, I chalked it up to human error, but it was happening way too often. When I pointed it out this time, even having to show him the Sale sign, the guy got rude and even hostile. And this wasn't the first time I've been treated rudely. So, I decided to take my business about 200 yards down the road to Ron's Liquors, which is located outside Costco. You don't need a Costco membership to shop there and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that their price for the identical bottle of wine was $1 less than the so-called "Sale" price at Westminster Liquors. BTW, my wife has also complained that she was subjected to their rudeness before and won't go in there any more either. When I woke up this morning, i noticed an unauthorized charge from Westminster Liquors. Seeing as I still had my debit card, I went into this store to try and solve the problem. From the moment the owner came out, he was rude and acted as though he had a sense of entitlement. When I politely asked for my reciept from this questionable transaction, he immediately got defensive and took my debit card right out of my hand! I then decided this wasn't going to be handled in a professional manner and I would call fraud on my card so I asked for it back. He would not give it back to me! Eventually the cops were called and my problem was not solved. I told him I was never going to buy anything from him again and he said good we only want customers with brains. Wtf?! I'm not the one who can't run a business. I have never felt so disrespected in my life and I will make sure everyone I talk to knows how this repulsive owner treats his customers.
