I have a Medicare Advantage Ins. coverage for medical insurance. With my current plan I have received help from various PCA (Personal Care Attendant) organizations for approximately 14 years. For various reasons, not only have the companies that are set up by my insurance changed frequently but the PCAs change frequently, within these agencies. Currently I have coverage from a business called Soto Home Care, out of Holyoke, MA. It has been the worst operating business of it's kind that I have been involved with. It is poorly managed and pretty far away from operating 'as a professional business, nevermind as a home care facility for handicapped and elderly' that Ihave had. I understand there is a shortageof people willing to do this work and I understand that since there are other agencies that pay more than Soto Home Care, it's even harder for them to keep enough staff to have full coverage all of the time. But, in the last 2 years, the issue of coverage 100% of the time is a constant problem. And the personnel who you depend on never seem to have mastered their skills in particular positions in over the 2 years...I don't think the owner/boss has a policy and procedure manual(s) for any position in this business. If he does then nobody fallows it!! Too many mistakes in scheduling and in notifying clients of changes or problems, etc. The PCAs are allowed to request time off in less than 24 hours before they are going to be out. They offer 24 hours a day service 7 days a week, including all holidays. A PCA can request any day(s), holidays included, and nothing is denied. Many times the PCA just doesn't show up, and when I call to find out why, and not only don't get an answer, I don't get an apology, an offer to find other coverage, or even a promise to find out why that PCA hasn't shown up...etc. This happened again today. So, I called, the person couldn't answered my questions and I had to ask her to find out if the coverage was due to an emergency or whatever, and pleaded with her to get back to me, whether or not the PCA, already 20 min. late, was going to make it in soon or not. That was @ 9:50am this morning. It's now 11:14am, and I've heard nothing. . I've had enough.

My grandpa was the talk of the town, wooing all the little old nuns who live here. That's right - it's where nuns go to retire. The nuns of the Sisters of Providence are the sweetest, kindest ladies in the world. When my grandpa finally died, they took such good care of my grandma, and still do though she moved out. They pray for our family and take my grandma out shopping when she needs help. I can't thank them enough. The little apartments are bigger than places I've rented for more money, and everyone has it looking just like you can imagine their old houses used to look, or clean and plain like nuns usually do. The building is beautiful, with a nice little chapel and a wonderful dining area. The only thing is when you come to visit lunch is not cheap, but it's worth it.

The staff is very attentive and provide a variety of activities daily. There is an onsite library, gym, outdoor pool, and several communal areas. For those who do not drive, the van goes to the bank, public library and a variety of stores weekly. With their monthly rent, Residents have the option of one or two daily meals in the dining room plus a continental breakfast. The dining room is run like a restaurant with a standard menu of salads and sandwiches with dinner specials daily. My family appreciates the services provided at this facility.

This "attorney" represented the buyers that purchased our real estate asset. From the get go, he was essentially unreachable. At every stage of the transaction he would simply ignore our attorney's correspondence, both emails and phone calls. He also refused to do any work that is typically completed by the buyer's attorney. For example, when we had accepted and signed the offer letter from the buyers, we waited WEEKS (after he ignored all correspondence) for a draft purchase and sale agreement. It was so ridiculous, that our attorney drafted the agreement themselves and sent it to Mr. Brunelle for review. MIRACULOUSLY, he responded within an hour of receiving the draft P&S agreement along with a long list of edits and changes for OUR attorney to make. Once the work had been completed for him, he was suddenly very responsive! After months of delays, zero updates, and endless headaches, we finally had a firm closing date. The day before the closing, we received a list of fees/charges from Mr. Brunelle for his "services" in this transaction. He had the nerve to add in various charges for overpriced services and unknown tasks that were not required in this transaction. Fortunately our attorney quickly identified them and was able to get rid of hundreds of bogus charges/fees he had tried to add in! There must be some reason people still go to Mr. Brunelle for representation in real estate transactions, but whatever they are, they are simply not worth it. What should have been a straightforward transaction was an absolute nightmare. If you are looking for an attorney, literally anyone else would be better than him. He's simply not worth the headaches and delays.

Attorney Brunelle's communication style is rude and dismissive. Through a series of unorthodox actions, the closing was delayed for a week, costing me almost $2,000 in unnecessary carrying costs. They found it "unbelievable" that the Registry--a government agency--closed at noon for Thanksgiving, despite easily finding Holiday hours posted. They also recorded a discharge before even mailing the funds to my lender. Sounds small, but turns out expensive, and no apologies or concessions.
