Worst insurance agency and so far the worst insurance company I have ever met in my life and I…read morethink I am already living the second part of it.I moved to the area few years ago and had them for couple of years , my wife and her numerous relatives had been with State Farm forever. No accidents documented, the only thing in our claim history was when I locked my keys inside the vehicle and company had to pay locksmith some laughable 60 or 70 bucks. Both me and my wife never had speeding tickets here and needless to say we never forgot to pay for our insurance .Then one day I was convicted of reckless driving (could happen to anyone who crosses the lane etc.)It happened in August I called this agency informed them I will need SR-22 we discussed the premium increase and well...it costs extra , but my bad I have to pay for it.Then 2 and a half months later all of a sudden I got few papers in the mail stating , THEY ARE CANCELING MY AND MY WIFE'S POLICY RIGHT ON MY BIRTHDAY, BECAUSE WE REPRESENT HIGHER RISK.I was like what the ???? Higher risk , really ? Life itself is a risky event , every living risks sudden death , every healthy individual risks getting sick etc.that is why we need insurance(also there are some legal requirements especially for vehicles and mortgages). And I discussed with Brandon and his associates the fee increase , my driving history is somewhat important to me so I asked for with held judgment , which was successfully withheld half a year later.Claim history speaks for itself I thought and I worked in insurance industry before and I know that SR-22 etc is not that uncommon .Just because my wife used to like them I spent some efforts trying to resolve the issue , since talking to Brandon or anyone in his office seemed useless , I reached their call center , which was a disaster few times dumb people hanged up on me, the level of customer service was only comparable to poor Teleperformance training , which some Sprint customers experienced, nobody knew what warm transfer is I had to repeat my story to some illiterate jerks , who will disappear for 10+ minutes and then hang up on me.Finally got some dude from underwriting(or at least I was told so) , who in his turn just barely mumbled something about us being higher risk.Later on reading other people's posts I figured for State Farm it is usual practice to drop customers they consider to be of a higher risk.State Farm is like fair weather Christians. They want your money , but surely they are afraid one day you'll make them pay.Look up State Farm sucks group on face-book for similar stories. So until you are perfect , and plan to never get a traffic ticket go to State Farm , if not the smarter choice is Allstate they have perfect customer service and treat their valued customers with dignity and respect ,will always call you back even when they have to adjust your rate.So even if it is a few extra bucks it is surely worth spending.I hope State Farm will go out of business with their practices.
