Cannot pay via internet directly to the credit union. Need to go through a portal pay to a third party which then gives a third party your banking info. And I have to pay for this feature. I wonder if this backward company of failed employees will ever join the modern age. I have approx. one payment left and cannot wait to walk into their office of hicks and hand them a cashier's check from Wells Fargo to pay off my truck loan and I guarantee, I will never return. Sad part is I will be moving to AZ so I cannot continue to tell all who I know or meet to avoid this credit union like the plague. read more

I am working out of town and needed to mobile deposit a large sum check. My family and I are actually relocating to Hawaii from Idaho. I called ahead to see if there would be a hold. How long. And if any could be released to me immediately. I spoke with a representative who spoke with accounting. They verified the amount. Verified what to put on the check with the endorsement. And said the funds would be available within a few hours. I double checked with the rep and verified all the info and that it would be available within a few hours. She said yes, and if it wasn't, then to call her back. Within minutes of depositing the check, I get an email from accounting telling me the funds wouldn't be available until 10/29!!! Today is 10/21! When I called to speak with the person who sent the email, I was told sorry, there's nothing I can do. Then WHY did you tell me it would be good to go in the first place?! You have essentially left me and my family stranded here with no money! And you don't even care enough to do anything about it! I have banked here for almost 20 years. Long before it was called Connections. And the few times Ive reached out for help, you've done nothing. No matter how much my income was. I will be closing my accounts here, after almost 20 years. And sharing this incredibly screwed up experience with everyone I know back home in Idaho. You people should be ashamed of yourselves. read more

Unfair employee treatment, micro management from the "supervisor," that doesn't know how to do her job, using employees as punching bags. They claim to be a great work place, but turn over is so bad they can't get people to cover lunches or breaks. Cutting everyone short, not only that they're taking away their food during the hours of them sitting there in a non hazardous area where nothing can be contaminated. After YEARS of it being perfectly okay. If they were in an office at a desk would it be different? And how? Because they're literally at a DESK for 8 hours dealing with all the members and mistakes even their own bosses mistakes. They're lucky if they have time to eat on break or even try before work. You're a "boss," so you get special treatment? You can eat in peace and hide inside that little office all you want. Because to me it sounds like they're just belittling their employees that they don't deserve in the first place. They continually change everything without the knowledge themselves and expect the other "less than," employees to do all the work to figure it out and portray that to the members. With no help from management. Then get backlash when done incorrectly because again there was NO TRAINING. These employees deserve better. Upper management needs a hard reality check. I'm impressed they haven't gone on strike. THEY EVEN THREATEN TO FIRE YOU IF YOU TALK ABOUT WAGES! Which is illegal by the way. 95% of this is from experience the rest has been read in online forums regarding this lousy company. Do better. read more

Connections Credit Union - Potelco - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Pocatello, Idaho

We actually really like this credit union. When we moved here from out of state last year, we needed to get a cashiers check for escrow. We figured with our credit union being part of the big credit union network, it would be no problem to get this done. As time was getting close of escrow closing I began calling credit unions in the area to find out who we were going to go to when we needed to get the check. It soon became nerve wrackingly (yes I know...it's not a word...but it fits so there it will sits! ) anywhoozle...it was becoming nerve wrackingly obvious that it might not happen! The thought of my husband driving 12hrs back to our previous branch...was brutal! Finally, I called Connections...they said they could do it...to come in and we would be taken care of. We got there and things were not going all that well...but the 2 tellers were doing everything in their power to get it done. About an hour later we had our cashiers check, and a 24hr round trip road trip was staved off!! Because of their colossal efforts to get our needs met, we decided to stick with them as our local credit union! They have always been friendly, and they have free notary public services for members...which has come in handy a time or two already! I'm not sure what people expect from a banking institution...these people are a million times friendlier and more accommodating than where we came from! read more

I will advise anyone AGAINST becoming a customer of Connections Credit Union and here is why. 1. Something is wrong with the cards they issue. I haven't been the only one who has had problems while trying to make a transaction at the store when I've had plenty of funds in my account it has been denied, my mother has the same problem and one of the cashiers at ridleys said that for some reason people who go through this bank have had similar problems. 2. I made a deposit and they put it in my mother's account. Luckily they didn't put it in a strangers as I would of been out of money!!!! 3. Their referral program is a joke. If you refer someone you're supposed to receive $100, they told me I would get the money at the end of the following month, that came and went and nothing, I called and they said it wouldn't be for another month after I had rearranged plans because of being told it would be this date. That came and went too, so I called customer service and she told me not for another month during which she was very rude. 4. Their customer service is terrible. I was rightfully upset about being lied to on not just one but MULTIPLE accounts on when I would receive the referral money, only for the representative to tell me snootily "I don't know if you even spoke to anyone." Really? Blaming the customer? Tsk tsk! Never again, I'm switching. Adios! read more

I live between Inkom and McCammon, Connections CU bought out another CU in Inkom. The employees in Inkom are great, but if an employee is out for any length of time, the CU only opens M-W-F. This has been very inconvenient. I do not like scheduling my time around having access to my money or other CU transactions. I have been told Connections may make this schedule permanent.They will lose customers but maybe that does not matter. If you want five day access to your money or CU services, do not opt for Connections. Not good business practices. read more
