I have been traveling with Spirit Airlines for at least the last 7 years now if not the last…read moredecade. They don't disappoint! Imported reserve red wine from France aboard our flight as well as Lagunitas Indian Pale Ale by the can for our bachelors for a wedding we chose to fly to with Spirit Airlines, and they really do lift off in good spirits as well as provide the safest smoothest landing every time I have flown with them and I will never be ashamed to recommend this airline. The Chicago to Cancun crew is always very welcoming, accommodating, understanding. They are an accomplished airline as I like to call it. I felt very safe flying with them every time and I am seeing a lot more and more families and parents choosing to trust this airline with rapid travel for themselves and their little ones. On this last flight I had someone with a breathing machine and she told me to write this review, she's too "proud to say she can't seem to find a better airline to travel to a tropical destination" I also want to point out that the plane was nearly as if it was brand new out of the assembly line when it came to cleanliness and quality of air and quality of antibacterial soap on board of our flight. There were only 2 rows of wide neck seats and I am unaware what the patrons sitting in those seats paid to book them, but I can proudly say I was comfortable in every row and seat position I had ever sat in from back to front starting at row 3 and to the back If you're looking to plan a trip ahead of time, fly with Spirit, they're an outstanding company and I'm so happy to share that they continue to not only meet but exceed expectations. Please be aware that you can purchase insurance, pay for carry on, pick your seats and board up to 45 minutes before your scheduled take off time for your flight. I did book through Hotwire, so I would recommend starting your search there. For 2 people out of town and back I am paying 500 which breaks down to 250 per patron. The 250 included insurance on board, flight itself, 2 personal carry ons, and I want to say the luggage too but I'll have to double check on that. Thank God for Spirit Airlines and Hotwire, am I right! So to all my peers and dear readers, the pleasure is mine to write this and guide you guys into the right and safe passage when it comes to travel for you and your loved ones. Have an amazing experience and thank you for finding my review helpful.

I booked this trip under the new system. I had no luggage, so the luggage issue did not apply on…read morethis trip. I am on the A list, so one of my bags will go at no charge. On this day, I made an in-and-out trip to St. Louis in one day. I woke up at 3 AM and headed to the airport around 4 AM for a 6 AM flight. Traffic on I-75 was interesting. Down to one lane for construction, and you must go slowly for workers' safety. The plane left on time and arrived on time. The return flight YIKES! I was scheduled for a 7:40 return flight. Then it started. Flight delays 8:47, 9:17, 9:52, 10:10, 10:16, 10:25. I arrived 2 hours early, so I was sitting in the airport for 5 hours. Then we received a gate change. We went from one end of the concours to the opposite end--a fine stretch of the legs. I only asked the desk one question: "Will the crew time out?" I was assured they would not. On the plane, we found out they had multiple issues they had to overcome. First, all the people on the plane who were going to miss their connections in St. Louis. They have to get them off the plane AND get their luggage. Very time-consuming. Yet their problems kept going. The plane had a flat tire and needed to be replaced, and all the paperwork and safety checks took longer. This was after they deplaned the passengers. I was not in a bad mood. I was a little upset, but when I heard the woes of the plane, I just chalked it up to oh well, I am retired. When I walked into the home, I had been up for 24 hours. I felt every bit of my age. P.S. The original delay was weather-related.

Flew from Grand Rapids to Fort Myers. Flew into concourse B at Midway with just enough time to grab…read moresome Garrett's popcorn. I was on standby at Midway and Southwest gave me a seat in the 7th row and checked my bag for free. Flight was quick and pleasant and arrived on time. Only downside was there was a piece of plastic in my coffee. Other than that everything was great
