We got our first corgi, Rupert from Lee 2 years ago and he's the sweetest boy ever. The whole…read moreprocess was pretty simple we emailed her, then heard back in a few days about the puppies she had available. A few weeks later he was ready to go. She does not take away puppies from their mother early or until they are absolutely ready to go like some other breeders I've seen. She's also not a back yard breeder-she doesn't churn puppies out so it takes time to get one. All puppies have their shots, papers and live in the home with their mom and play outside. It was great actually going there to pick him up and getting a chance to see his mom, dad, and siblings. She has a large farm and allows folks to walk around to see the puppies-you of course let her know you are visiting ahead of time. When we picked up our Rupert we noticed other Lee English corgi owners picking up a second puppy from her and they absolutely loved him. An awesome thing she does is email you a picture of your puppy every week until he's home with you. Its important to remember she's an older lady who truly loves her Corgi's and I've run into other corgi owners that have gotten their fur kids from her, so she's very busy. Since she is so busy and older, emails may not come as fast as they use to so its important to have patience and just keep at it or the best thing is to let her know you would like to visit and stop by so she'll remember your face. Keep in mind these are purebreds, thus they'll have occasional health issues like all purebreds. Our boy has an allergy to chicken/fleas and sensitive tummy (he's a nerd lol). Keep in mind its probably not the breeder but the breed.

I was equally as pleased with the experience of purchasing her as I was when I was 10 sending emails and begging my mom to say yes. She sent weekly updates on her and gave me all of her medical records and paperwork upon pick up. I was able to visit her several times before picking her up, and was amazed by how many happy corgis and aussies there were there. Definitely recommend. The world may be hard at times, but it is never cold and lonely when your cat purrs for you or your…read moredog wags his tail happy to see you. They become a part of us, the best part perhaps. We can't imagine our lives without them. But when they hurt, we hurt. We reach out to a veterinarian often feeling the doctor's cold bedside manner. It's not personal just an attempt of self preservation not to become too close to every patient. The doctor's job and our pet's well being require unpleasant tasks like taking their temperature or giving injections. It's safer to be detached than to open their heart to every furry face. Since Pinky's first visit Dr. Marilyn Tobey became part of the family. Doctor Tobey and her staff at the Floral City Veterinary Hospital immediately recognized the importance of Pinky's well being to all of us, not only respecting our feelings but sharing in them. They not only treated Pinky, they treated the two legged members of the family with just as much care and compassion. Dr. Tobey patiently explained Pinky's condition and helped us make the best decisions for treating Pinky. Sadly the time came when nothing more could be done to and we had to say goodbye. Our desire to have her in our life was weighed against our desire to see her free of pain. It's a hard decision to make. Some vow to never love another pet to avoid the inevitable heart ache of saying goodbye. The lucky ones realize as great as the heart ache of losing a pet may be, the amount of love and joy they bring into your life is far greater. The world would be a better place if more people could own a pet and shared those feelings and an even better place with more people like Dr. Marilyn Tobey and her staff. In a time of sickness they gave us medicine. At a time of pain and darkness their hearts shined. And at a time of loss they gave us understanding, compassion and friendship. ~with love and thanks The Family of Pinky Bush

We found the doggy daycare to be very inexpensive but worrisome (Perpetually unfriendly woman at the front desk told us on the first day she would NOT keep an eye on our dog, who was new to FL and might get overheated....sometimes it also took a while to FIND our dog, which tells me nobody was watching the dogs.) Our dog came home with bite marks on his nose and lip (which swelled up for weeks) and bloody for the first couple of weeks. We found the owner to be much nicer and much more friendly with our dog. We did get him groomed once, which was expensive for the area, and he still came home with worse mats under his ears than he went in with. I think he did give them a nip though when they were brushing, so I understand it, although he never came home with mats from any other groomer. On their website it said that their "private dog park" was free for "clients", which we were later told didn't apply to doggy daycare clients.. even though we spent much more with them than grooming clients, I presume. All in all, I think the owner has your best interests in mind, but they have an odd way of doing business, in my opinion. Also, the whole time they kept calling my dog a "she", which, after seeing him several days a week for a couple months they should have known better.
