He has been great at testing my understanding after instruction by asking me questions, always with a friendly demeanor and positive eye contact. Swede has taken me step by step from establishing a connection with his horse primarily through grooming (she loves to be brushed), to then learning how to properly put the blanket, saddle, and bit on the horse, to learning all the good basics of gracefully mounting, staying balanced on the horse, and effectively controlling it, et cetera. He is a most gifted instructor, and I have enjoyed my lessons and gained much confidence in riding. His horse Destiny is amazing, a super experienced and "wise" horse. In short, I highly recommend Swede for horsemanship lessons if you are a novice or know nothing about riding and want to learn from the best.

We brought our mats, masks (not needed), water bottles (goats liked them, too, so we didn't use them after they inspected them), and high hopes to have a good time. We were not disappointed. Before yoga, the owner talked about goat etiquette as Mistletoe, one of the older goats, wandered amongst us - maybe 25 to 35 of us. A few baby goats by the back of the enclosed area also roamed. Our yoga instructor was introduced to us, and she let us know that she did not mind if we paid more attention to the goats than to her. By the way, she was excellent. But the goats were more tempting to enjoy. Just before the yoga class started, the owner opened a gate and about 50 goats entered our area! There were young ones and slightly older ones, males and females, and goats of every color. The next 45 min. was spent doing a little yoga (instructor had goats around her and on her & she kept going) and hugging, petting and holding goats. After class, we posed for pictures and lingered a little longer with the goats that had not yet meandered away for lunch. We did not buy any goat cheese, goat fudge, or jam, but we were tempted. This was a wonderful time and we'll be back with friends and family.

Well, Dorian stayed scary so I left for Annwyn. The owner, Kathleen Petersen texted with me often inquiring about my trip and arrival. She greeted me warmly and helped me unload... amazing personal touch. I met the barn manager, Lacy, and was instantly grateful for her cooperative attitude and "whatever you need" way of getting us settled in. They took care of my horses as I would. They were friendly, courteous and understanding in our time of need. I highly recommend this farm for evacuation. I wish I lived closer so I could take lessons at this farm. Just wonderful!

Each camp had a different theme and kids could sign up for the one they liked. -Covered riding area. Rain or shine, the kids could ride. -Kona Ice day. The truck came out and the kids could purchase a treat halfway thru the week. -End of the week presentation. Parents were invited to a Friday performance that showed off what their kids had learned. So why not five stars? Mainly because of the lack of communication. Leading up to the start of camp, the only information we had was from the sheet we filled out months before to reserve our spot. An introductory email would be incredible. Also, the paper handed out to parents about the presentation had the wrong time on. I was only able to confirm the actual time because we attended with a good friend who had the owner's phone number. Tightening up the communication would take Suncoast's Summer Camps from being amazing to perfect!
