The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is a gem. It's a beautiful space in downtown WHB. It's nice to have something to do in town on a weekend. It's got a homey feel. The seats are comfortable. We went with friends to see a comedy show last night. We didn't know it, but it turned out to be a fundraiser for the Rotary Club. There was a bunch of unexpected Rotary Club fol de rol, including the entire audience standing to recite the pledge of allegiance. The comedians were uneven. We have seen one other show there, the excellent Gary Gulman. The schedule seems to feature tribute bands and musical genres of the past 50 years. I assume this reflects the preferences of the board and the exigencies of booking a relatively small venue. Happy to support this local institution when they host something we're interested in. read more

My wife & I came here to see JB Smoove perform. We walk in, I order a drink at the bar. I kid with the bartender, since this is Westhampton is this beer $97 dollars? I get a few laughs. Once seated, I start to sip my beer without my mask on. An usher walks over and tells me to mask up. I tell her I'm drinking a beer? Listen, I'm fully vaccinated and I don't care what your believe. Everyone needs to chill out, at the time the theater was pretty empty. The theater itself is well maintained and the acoustics were great. JB Smoove killed it on stage. Parking was easy, I pulled up and snagged a spot in front of the theater. We didn't stick around but JB Smoove took a few pictures with the fans. Nice night out in Westhampton. I would return but my only issue? The ticket prices are generally higher than other Long Island venues. read more

Four becomes five when you realize you have been seeing some of the best shows here often. From Cesar Milan the dog whisperer (got a picture with my mother), to Jim Jefferies the offensive /abusive comedian, (not with my mother) LOL, the shows can really vary for types of audience appeal. Small theater, good acts somehow in a small town that will support that all, and the benefactors of this theater have done just that. It took a good effort to restore and take live this venue a number of years back, and the locals & summer residents made it happen. A nice place to go for a small town /good show night. read more

This is probably one of my favorite venues to see a show on Long Island, and i've seen quite a few here. The theater itself is quaint and clean. Tickets tend to be a bit expensive depending on the performer, but it's worth it in my opinion. Parking could be a bit of a hassle in the Summer months so be sure to arrive early to get a spot in one of the public parking areas that are nearby. And if you are looking to grab a bite to eat before the show definetly check out Starr Boggs. You won't be disappointed. read more

Small town mentality, even if it is "the Hampton's!" Others comment on the pricey nature. For me, if it is a quality act, the price is fine. What is not fine is a venue whose staff feels they are entitled to randomly disturb the paying audience! The venue was lovely. A friend was playing there. As I arrived about half way after the show started, I settled in and began to enjoy the show. I noticed many, I'd say 20 - 30 cameras & cell phones out, taking photos, videotaping, etc. I took my iphone out and took one photo. Went to the back of the house to upload the photo to the artist's facebook page, and was promptly accosted by one of the ushers. He stated photos were not allowed. I kindly pointed out that there were many others he could be concerned with, as I was not actively engaged in photography, as those in the house were, I was simply uploading to the artist's own page He then stated I was not allowed to upload the photo. I simply asked where the ladies room was, so I could take care of my business with no further interruptions. He escorted me to the elevator, which I stood in and completed my upload, and returned to the interior lobby. Having listened to a couple of songs seated, which is not the usual manner for engaging with this artist's work, I decided to stay standing, in the open doorway to the theater (both sides had doorways that were left open, as there was an exterior and interior lobby, I would presume). I stood out of view of any paying and seated patrons, unless they chose to turn around. I swayed to the music, moved my arms about, maybe even danced a bit (GASP!) and then I was approached by a man who stated he was the "director" who then began to question how many photos I'd taken, to which I replied one. Then, he asked me to take a seat. I stated I preferred to stand at the back so I could fully enjoy the music. To that, he stated that I would have to stand in the doorway on the other side because I WAS DISTURBYING HIS USHER!!! I paid $22 bucks to see a show, and I'm disturbing the USHER??? OK, I got it out of my brain. Just know if you go to this venue, you will be at the whim of the ushers and the director (hey, thats a great boss, right, he backs up his employee, right or wrong!) Would I return? Sure! I would not pay the $$ to support the local arts institution, however, I would simply attend WITH my friend, the artist, how silly I entered as a paying guest and disturbed the usher! read more

It was fantastic, everyone in the place had a blast and he wants to go back. Theater newly renovated and extremely comfortable. TALENT was extraordinary! read more

Great venue with some incredible acts that come through town. Very small setting so every seat is great. Right on Main Street a fun night to grab dinner or a drink before the show. They also have a small bar in the theater that is open before the show. Some of the reviews complain about expense but if you like the act, which can be top notch, you will not be disappointed with your seat. read more

Who are they kidding with these prices? $250 plus PER SEAT for short comedic evenings such as Tracy Morgan or John Cleese in the Summer 2018. Do they really have to soak the Citidiots that bad at the expense of us locals that actually might attend something 12 months out of the year? Terrible place to catch a show!! No dancing allowed in the aisles. No fun allowed! I won't spend another dime here! Much better venues!

This is a pretty awesome place to watch a small concert. Appears to be an intimate venue.

Overpriced shows but surprisingly a good # of acts in the "Hamptons offseason"

We booked the WHB Performing Arts Center this past Sunday as the venue to celebrate my father's 80th birthday party. I don't think the event could have gone any better. The first 1.25 hours the guests congregated in the bar and lobby area, where we had small tables and seating to accommodate about 85 people for lunch. We hired a barbershop quartet and a strolling magician to entertain the guests as the ate and schmoozed. After lunch we ushered the guests into the theater where my sisters and I gave short speeches and presented a photo montage on the 9' x 12' screen on stage. The barbershop quartet then performed about 5 songs on stage, which culminated in rolling out a birthday cake for my father and the guests singing happy birthday along with the barbershop quartet. We then served dessert in the bar/lobby area. The event went smoothly, not only because my sisters and I planned such a great party, but mainly because the staff at the WHBPAC were so attentive and skilled. Gram and Kristen were extraordinary people to work with, true consummate professionals. We highly recommend the WHBPAC as a unique venue to host a party or event. read more

i have seen many shows at this venue and continue to do so. i must say that my friend and i were extremely disappointed with the bar service at the gene casey show. we asked for 2 vodkas, with one cube in each. there was one cube in each and maybe 1/2" of vodka, all for $15 each. what an absolute rip off! never again! read more

I saw The Spinners perform twice here- even though the tickets are priced on the high end, it is understandable and worth it because the venue is so intimate. There are no bad seats. It is great to have such an upscale performing arts center locally. Great for a night out- dinner and a show! read more

Brings great acts to an intimate venue. A little pricey but such a great way to see great performers in a small town. Great shows for kids too. read more
