Next time I think I would like to sit in that section. It's a little smaller, less seats and closer to the stage than where we sat. The play we saw was called, Half Time. It was a true story about older people who auditioned for the half time show for a basketball game. It was funny, entertaining and sad all at the same time. The actors did an amazing job. As far as the singing, some were better than others, but I think part of the problem was, some of the microphones were not as loud as others. It was still really awesome, and made the reality of getting older sobering and funny at the same time. I am not sure how long this show is running, but if it is still at this theater, you should go see it. I was able to only sneak two photos, since we weren't allowed to take pictures. I would go back to see other shows here. It's a great theater located in the great town of Port Jefferson!

Saw The Odyssey last night which was my first time in this theatre. The lobby area where…read moreconcessions are alsmot feels like it should be a museum, pretty cool, futuristic and very clean. My issues were the seats, IMAX screen and cupholders (all necessary to enjoy for a nice movie night). The seats inside the theatre are very uncomfortable. I get they're not advertised as luxury recliners, but to say the seats are ergonomic comfortable seats is a biiiig stretch. You're touching arms with the people next to you, even for me as a generally small person. As for the screen, I also felt a little duped. The IMAX screens I've been in are larger and wrap around the sides much more for a better immersive experience. And last, the cupholders are like miniature, child size? I purchased a Perrier from them and when I looked around, everyone's drink also didn't fit except for the small plastic soda cups. Needless to say, I don't think I would return, even for a shorter movie :(

The reason is, if you're a movie lover and you like to watch your movie on a big screen with great sound, you're not going to get that here. Sure you may get the big screen, but there are three or four cinemas in this small, old (and yes, charming) building yet somehow nobody made sure that each one is sound proof. So during your movie you'll be hearing the soundtrack to another. The rude manager doesn't even apologize for it. He just says "it's a 1940's movie house. What do you want ?" "Ummm. 1940's movie ticket prices ?" Look as I said to him, that's fine but you should give people the choice when they're paying top dollar ticket prices. You should at least let them know that this is what they're going to be getting. I def see romance and charm in an old 40's theatre. But soundproofing is essential. I'm not even sure if movie companies like the #WeinsteinCompany or #Disney #Fox or any of them would even let their movies be shown here if they knew what the botched sound system is like. Anyhow, your choice. At least now you know before you hand over your hard-earned money.

Yeah, the carpets are old and need to be replaced, decor is old too but who cares! PJ Cinemas opened in 1973 and has stayed open for a reason! Its charming, those walls carry so many memories and history! People are smiling and happy to share what brings them to this theatre! The staff are so friendly, the tickets are little pieces of paper like back in the day and the prices are unheard of. Tickets are $10 for adults $7.50 for seniors. There are combo deals like the one that cost me $10.50 tonight for a small popcorn I couldn't even finish, small drink and candy!! What???? The theatres have seats you can choose when you walk in, no assigning seats here. You can choose to sit somewhere else if say a person with a big head chooses their seat in front of you. This has happened too often and I love I have options now. There are old fashioned seats that rock. For me, I dont need to recline like I'm watching the movie in my bed! I found my new theatre! No more paying $30-40 for a night out at the movies for me anymore! I wish more businesses could turn back the clock and make us feel like what times used to be like. Modern building with small viewing rooms on 3 floors (elevator available) with a nostalgic feel, friendly knowledgeable staff, comfy seating, and indie movie offerings. We saw "Touch" there, a beautiful film that takes place in London, Tokyo and Iceland. Unique, romantic and heartwarming. The Sag Harbor Cinema has an upstairs rooftop bar, plus snacks/merch for sale in the downstairs lobby. It's a nonprofit org with various community events as well. We reserved our tickets online but they do accommodate walk-ins. A real find for movie buffs.

It was like Niles was having a hangout session with his awesome rockstar buddies and we all got to watch. Very cool. * The setting. Festival at a vineyard. Say no more. Beautiful! * The parking / traffic. This was seriously easy. Given, there were only 3k people there, not the 10k expected, but the in/out was simple. * Since there was only one main stage, there could've been a long layover btw bands. They did a great job with this and during one of the longer layovers (before Beck), they put Thomas Gold on stage to keep people dancin'. Well done! The Not so Great: * Food trucks- Good idea, but with no regular tent vendors, the 3k people that were there all had to hit up 5 food trucks. It took me AN HOUR to get two hot dogs. That's insane. * No set times. This is like festival 101 here. Publish when artists are taking the stage! Everyone I asked, from merch vendors to security guards, had NO clue. * Tuesday/Wednesday show. Yikes. Takes a lot of the NYC crowd out of it (wait, maybe that should be put in the Great column?) * Pharell had a pretty major billing here but only stayed for 3 songs. No bigs, it was still cool, but it should have been put as "Special Appearance by..." instead of his name in lights. I could see how people were pretty pissed about that. I was even more hesitant when I only paid $19 for a newer movie. However, after I saw the theater showroom I was pleasantly surprised. They offer a wide variety of snacks at the concessions, as well as the usual Pepsi beverages. I purchased three small, but substantial, drinks and a large popcorn with one free refill for $21.25. The theater has plush, leather-like chairs (no recliners) and the entire place was either clean or being cleaned; this is a very tidy place. The best part yet was after traveling to two larger, more popular theaters and told they were sold out, this place was wide open. This place is great to take kids and family for a night at the movies. You can enjoy a movie, popcorn, and drink without having to take out a loan, which is required at most theaters.

More dogs' stuff than cats, but I found things for my cats and the cat lady, me! The owners, Barbara and Ron, are such a warm couple. I interacted with Anthony, who helped me pick out some cat-like items for myself and my cats. Cats' stuff are located upstairs. I like this place. I had a chance to meet some guests who happened to be there and spoke with them. The owners have a cute, energetic dog that greets people at the entrance too. This place is so inviting. I would come back if I'm in the area. Of course, I got something for myself and my cats! The great store is owned by great people.
