The receptionist answered and said she would look into it and I was put on hold. Shortly after a different woman picked up, I explained I was already on hold and waiting to hear back from someone who was already helping me, she responded by telling me I have to call back tomorrow and hung up as I was still speaking. So rude! I don't feel comfortable having rude and unfriendly staff in the care of my son! If that's how they act to a prospective parent, how are they treating the kids?!

We're were only there a few weeks and couldn't take it as we were being told something that didn't match up with the daily reports. My kid was also constantly sick the first year which is most likely common. We left the day care since we felt as if we couldn't trust the new care takers. We tried telling them to change and apply diaper cream regularly but they couldn't provide basic care. They also lost some of my sons belonging. Pan the director told us we would get reimbursed and then never did. Not a pleasant experience after the infant room and management didn't bother to ask why we left which shows their care and character.

NEW I have my child…read morecurrently enrolled at Kiddie Academy. This experience is current; it happened just today, August 31, 2023. I haven't had the opportunity to see how the school will handle as the director and assistant director were already gone for the day but I have had the opportunity to see what is considered qualified as it relates to the teaching staff. So basically my little baby was left in a highchair for well over an hour and a half. He wasn't being fed but just locked and trapped inside of it for what could only be assumed was to be kept out of the way so he wouldn't be an inconvenience to the leader of this classroom (Ms. Trinity) that continued to walk passed him cleaning and handling the other babies as if he simply wasn't there. Kiddie Academy does provide video but they do not provide sound to the video so I could see my son crying and wriggling around in discomfort but i couldn't hear if she was saying anything to him. Once I realized how long he had been sitting there and I could see his discomfort I jumped in my car and headed there (I wanted to more so see them organically than call ahead). Just before I arrived Ms. Mary, the teacher my son is drawn to and who I believe was not before in the room (there was someone else in the room, sitting out of view and while I'm not 100% sure I don't think it was her) removed him from the chair and began changing his clothes. When I arrived I was told that he was spitting out his food so it got all over him. Ok...so he was being a baby (not even yet 1) and was left in his wet dirty clothes for what seemed like almost 2 hours to me (I was on my computer and would check in on camera occasionally). When I confronted Ms. Trinity she said when the babies do something like that she usually let's them sit for 5 minutes. 5 WHAT??? He had been sitting there and sitting there and sitting there and NO ONE checked on him or helped him. This does not end here and I hope that Kiddie Academy regains my trust I will additionally say, in roughly the 3 months that my son has been attending this school, that after his adjustment period of getting used to this new situation every time I put him in Ms. Trinity's arms he screams his head off. When I put him in the assistant teachers arms Ms. Mary (the person to me that seems to have a true natural ability with these babies and who should, if anyone be the head teacher) he is completely quiet and at peace (I've even mentioned to Ms. Mary that I noticed that he flocks to her - she remembers I'm sure). When I expressed my concern to Ms. Trinity over the time she left my son in that highchair she simply said, "well I don't keep track". These people log every meal, every diaper change and poop, take pictures from the day and let me know if he napped. I call bullsh*t! To the Director, Ms. Issa and Assistant Director, Ms. Aisha (and the Owner, if you get a moment to read this) I wish you a wonderful labor day weekend and I will be looking forward to speaking with you next Tuesday morning on the above matter and how hopefully you can ensure nothing of its kind ever happens again to my child or to anyone elses. Sincerely, Keela Walker

I found this on the website on approved daycare centers registered with the state that have active…read moreand current licenses. I called to check them out over the phone and get a feel for them. I was instantly pleased when they answered with a very happy and energetic voice! The owners name is Nancy and she is an absolute doll! She asked me when I'd like to go in and look at the center to see what they do and how they interact w the kids. When I got there I found that this day care is in a house! How awesome! The kids won't feel as if they are in "school" exactly because it was something that my son was definitely not ready for. It still has that family feel to it. The parking lot is in the back on the center. It had a yard for the kids to play in with plenty of toys. I went inside and I soon as I walked in I can feel the energy. The not and laughter of the kids was calming to me. Nobody was crying out sad. Nancy has two assistants that help her throughout the day. Well Nancy and I sat down and she gave me all the information about the center. The prices were the most reasonable than any other reputable place on the area with the same atmosphere. I decided to send my son here. He ended up going for about 3 years until he started kindergarten. My son did not want to stop going!! I have made lifetime friends here. Nancy and I are still friends. One of her teachers became one of my best friends. And my son made a great friend. His friends mom is also a good friend that I made there. We still visit from time to time and send cards and pictures every year. This center will quickly make you feel like family. My son stopped going the years ago and he still wants to go visit all the time. I never had any problems here. This place is top notch as good is it gets!!!

We met with various preschools in the area and none felt exactly right until we met with Sumara, one of the owners of the Goddard School of Long Hill. Her excitement and passion were evident from the first meeting (and I should note, have not waivered since). After researching the school's philosophy and considering some of our own personal experiences with the Goddard franchise, we made our decision. While waiting for opening day our son attended a different preschool and as kids will do, he picked up some negative behaviors and began saying he did not like school or learning. This was obviously very upsetting for all of us. However, within just a few weeks at Goddard we noticed a huge difference in him. He now loves school and we no longer have morning struggles and tears. He runs into the classroom each morning with excitement. His teacher is absolutely amazing and having the owners onsite and involved makes a big difference as well. The school is clean and bright and welcoming. We are so glad to be a part of the Goddard family!

In my opinion, this day care is THE BEST DAY CARE in town (and neighboring towns). Let me start off…read moreby saying, that similar to many parents, I researched many daycares before choosing a location. In addition, my child attended two other day cares before we landed here. The way the teachers interact with the children is wonderful to see. The teachers are firm and consistent in their approach to bad behavior (ie. removing the child from the space, talking to them, explaining why, etc.). They are kind and patient, they teach, they have fun (art, shaving cream, dancing). It's truly the BEST DAYCARE IN TOWN. My daughter has learned so much!!!!! Examples - ABC's, sign language, how to write, even some Spanish colors, and so much more. The Director, Johana is phenomenal, as well. My daughter was having a behavioral issue 2-3 months into joining. She was ok with the other children but she was not listening to the teachers and displaying behavior that was not her normal behavior. I believe this was because we just changed daycares and in parallel I was transitioning her into her own room / bed. Johana sat me down and explained all the issues and the impact it was having. She gave some recommendations on what we could work to implement, together, to try and rectify the problem. She was also very clear on how long we had to try and implement a solution (before we would need to change schools). All things I truly appreciated because there was over communication on the problem, a willingness to work together to try and resolve the issue, and a clear deadline. In the end, I was finally able to get through to my daughter and her morning statements of "I don't want to go here!!!" changed into "I can't wait to tell Ms. Caila XYZ" or greeting Mrs. Johana on the way to excitedly join Ms. Temu's class. Their willingness to try and work with you (as a parent) and their dedication to providing a safe, fun, and educational place for all the children is impeccable. You won't regret sending your child, here.

We are beyond happy with Lightbridge Academy! Keep up the good work! :)

My son will be well equipped for Kindergarten next year!

The only reason i'm keeping my son enrolled here is because of his lovely teacher Ms. Sangita. If…read moreshe ever leaves this school, I am definitely withdrawing my son from here. Lightbridge Academy policies are ridiculous and high priced for parents that are simply just looking for decent child-care. The payment due date is randomly on the 27th of each month & they will charge "$40 PER DAY the tuition is late". (Cited from Lightbridge academy handbook). This is insane. No where else does that. They are unwilling to work with you or make any exceptions. There is ALWAYS a disease/illness every week that your child is exposed to. They are always looking for a reason to keep your child out of school & still expect full tuition on time regardless if your child is out of school for a week. Not to mention the tuition price will increase every year for absolutely no good reason. Lightbridge teacher turnover rate is unbelievable. Every month expect to see a new teacher. The teachers are most likely overworked and underpaid for their hard-work they give daily to the children. Overall, I do not recommend Lightbridge academy because of Corporate greed.

She came home with a raspy voice on…read moreMonday (was there from 9am-12pm) and it sounded like she's been screaming or crying but her day sheet said she did great. Tuesday, her voice got worse and I'm starting to worry. Keep in mind that I have been calling multiple times a day to see how she is doing and I'm always told she is doing great but what they tell me over the phone does not match her day sheet, activity wise. I have also been stoping by at least once a day and she's either already napping or about to go down for a nap (always in her crib). I gave them her daily schedule and they weren't following it but I figured, it's her first week and she's trying to adjust. Wednesday.. the drop off was so tough with her clinching onto me and just crying. I walked away and had this feeling that the daycare workers were not bothered by my little girls screams. I called an hr later and spoke to her teacher who said, everything was fine. I explained to her that I know my daughter has been crying and I just want to keep the communication open and honest so I need to know when she cries the most and how long does it take her to settle down after I leave. She agreed, however I got another "great day" sheet. Also, her feeding and sleeping were off, she was eating 1/4 of what she would have had at home and sleeping twice as much. Thursday.. I drop her off, she's screaming and crying like everyday. I walked out but decided to wait outside the room to see how they calm her down and long it takes (she can't see me). 10 min in, she is still crying and they are doing nothing other than telling her "it's ok". Finally her teacher picks her up which calms her down a little and takes her into another room where I can't see her so I left. I waited 45 min and went back in. I saw my little girl hyperventilating from crying all by herself in the foam pit while her teacher sat 2 feet away with the other 2 babies who are quiet, doing paperwork, like she can't hear my daughter. I waited a minute and nothing! I ran in to grab my baby and asked the teacher if this is what she does all day, her response "yes". I was livid! They had been lying to me from day one! Instead of helping her adjust to a new setting, they just let her cry until she can't cry anymore and put her in her crib to pass out. When I asked why I wasn't informed that my baby was crying all day, she responded with an attitude, "isn't this what she does at home". I don't know how someone so cold and disconnected ended up in childcare. I wish I was informed of the difficulties my baby was having so maybe I could do something to help with the transition. Needless to say, we are done with Kindercare!
