I can see how much the teachers care for our child - they provide me with daily updates via the portal, take time to speak with me at pickup and dropoff, address my questions and requests, and call me if they have any concerns. I see how much the teachers genuinely care for my child and the other children in the class. It is great to see my child also enjoy and connect with the teachers. I love the crafts and development activities the teachers do throughout the week - and appreciate the pictures we receive of our child participating in class activities. The parent portal and video cameras (extra cost) in the class are great because we get to check in on a regular basis to see how our child and class is going. Also, the infant head teachers are well qualified with degrees in early childhood education which is good to see at the infant age. The school offers great hours, a coverage calendar for daycare kids that is very friendly for working parents, and reasonable tuition costs. I do think there are administration opportunities of improvement for parents and teachers to connect - mixers, parent days with the kids, etc. Sometimes school emails and notifications are delayed. I also notice the grounds can be better kept. For example, the pumpkin decor from the fall is still up in January. Nevertheless, I have a sense of peace and calm when I drop off my child at AMS - Warren because I am happy with the staff, wonderful class teachers and know my child is happy, loved and safe.

We've really enjoyed our experience with the Learning Experience so far! Our son joined at 3.5…read moremonths and has had a great experience at TLE the past year. The caregivers in the infant rooms have been amazing my son loves them! They have really gotten to know our son and have done an amazing job caring for him. I love that they update you all day on the app so you can see their schedule and how they're progressing. They do a great job sticking to our schedule. If there's ever an issue, they call right away and let you know! Management has also changed in the past year (2 people had turned over in the time we started) and the past few months have been great. I love the management in there now! They also do a great job with different activities and arts and crafts at the school. They've done tons of different theme weeks, decorations, quarterly fun fairs and more interactive elements for the kids which has been cute! The only improvements I'd like to see is more so in the afternoon pick up time. I've seen a lot of the care givers switching rooms at pick up time (so I may not recognize the teacher in there) and sometimes the kids to teacher ratio is off at the end of the day.

I'd call it The Social Experiment and certainly NOT the Learning Experience. I will also say that…read morethey might be much better as a nursery school, as our experience was only as a preschool. I'll start with what is good about this place (not much). The lead teachers genuinely care about the children and put a lot into their care. The staff also take the time to know the kids' names. I only wish the management and staff put a fraction of that effort into their relations with the parents. They do not. If you ask questions or raise any issues, the management is immediately defensive, dismissive, and do not take the time to consider their clients' concerns. Not one bit! Are the parents not the customers? Don't you believe you should invest in building trust and transparency with parents? Not close to the customer comes first. Not by a long shot. Our child (age 3) had an incident where she hit her head. My wife was told by the manager that our daughter is clumsy, and she has seen her being clumsy. She is 3! Aren't they called toddlers? When she hit her head, a report was filed. At pick up, I was told to "just sign the report" as the person at the desk was on the phone. When in the classroom, I inquired about what happened and was told "we have no idea. It was with the morning teacher. You can just ask her tomorrow". What? The afternoon was like a revolving door with different junior staff covering, as the lead teacher left before 3 PM. They never greeted you when you came to pick-up. New faces never introduced themselves as "my name is and I'm covering for..." Never! They would say "Annie, your dad is here" and then return to what they were doing. This included either cleaning the room during school hours or uploading photos to their App on an iPad, not teaching or working with the kids. When our daughter started, they had no nametag for her place at the table. This went on for almost a month before we brought it up and they dismissively tried to tell us that they were "ruined" and required new ones. She never had one. More excuses! Then, they made one and her name was MISSPELLED! They are "teaching" her spelling, but they can't spell her first name. It was never fixed. The curriculum is entirely vague and we never received learning packets, progress reports, or any written updates on learning. If you do want your kid to sit in front of a screen and learn solely from a cartoon elephant, this is an expensive place where you can do just that. Go ahead, they are more than happy to take your money! In fact, that was their primary focus. Communication with parents is abysmal! Our daughter's lead teacher, the single element of consistency in this whole place, decided to leave and nothing was communicated to the parents. No phone call. No email. No communication of "since we are losing Ms. X, Ms. Y will be filling in for the rest of summer". ZERO! Complete reliance on technology. Zero professional communication skills. Honesty and trust are paramount with this dynamic. We got neither!

Tuesday, her voice got worse and I'm starting to worry. Keep in mind that I have been calling multiple times a day to see how she is doing and I'm always told she is doing great but what they tell me over the phone does not match her day sheet, activity wise. I have also been stoping by at least once a day and she's either already napping or about to go down for a nap (always in her crib). I gave them her daily schedule and they weren't following it but I figured, it's her first week and she's trying to adjust. Wednesday.. the drop off was so tough with her clinching onto me and just crying. I walked away and had this feeling that the daycare workers were not bothered by my little girls screams. I called an hr later and spoke to her teacher who said, everything was fine. I explained to her that I know my daughter has been crying and I just want to keep the communication open and honest so I need to know when she cries the most and how long does it take her to settle down after I leave. She agreed, however I got another "great day" sheet. Also, her feeding and sleeping were off, she was eating 1/4 of what she would have had at home and sleeping twice as much. Thursday.. I drop her off, she's screaming and crying like everyday. I walked out but decided to wait outside the room to see how they calm her down and long it takes (she can't see me). 10 min in, she is still crying and they are doing nothing other than telling her "it's ok". Finally her teacher picks her up which calms her down a little and takes her into another room where I can't see her so I left. I waited 45 min and went back in. I saw my little girl hyperventilating from crying all by herself in the foam pit while her teacher sat 2 feet away with the other 2 babies who are quiet, doing paperwork, like she can't hear my daughter. I waited a minute and nothing! I ran in to grab my baby and asked the teacher if this is what she does all day, her response "yes". I was livid! They had been lying to me from day one! Instead of helping her adjust to a new setting, they just let her cry until she can't cry anymore and put her in her crib to pass out. When I asked why I wasn't informed that my baby was crying all day, she responded with an attitude, "isn't this what she does at home". I don't know how someone so cold and disconnected ended up in childcare. I wish I was informed of the difficulties my baby was having so maybe I could do something to help with the transition. Needless to say, we are done with Kindercare!

As a first time parent, I was very nervous sending my daughter to daycare, but the teachers were wonderful with her and so patient and reassuring with me. The directors and staff are also very accommodating of the needs of the parents and are more than willing to work with you if you need help. My daughter has not only been well cared for, but she has also learned so much. The teachers are so caring, compassionate and creative. Weekly lesson plans are sent out so you know the theme of the week and all the activities they will be doing, which range from reading, music, science, sensory bins, practicing fine/gross motor skills, playing pretend, nature walks etc. The activities are just so creative and engaging for the kids. For example, today my daughter made a fire truck cookie using graham crackers, icing and Oreos. They also have someone come in and do a music class with the kids twice a month and yoga twice a month. There are also other additional optional programs offered such as dance, sports, and art. The enrichment activities are amazing, such as having visits from fire fighters, police officers, dentists, Santa as well as the teddy bear clinic, pony rides and at Halloween, a trunk or treat. They even offer a free evening event for families at Christmas time all Polar Express themed, with various activities and pictures with Santa. Summer camp is also incredible with weekly splash days on the playground, princess balls, dinosaur shows, bubble shows, petting zoo and field trips for the older kids. My daughter has picked up so much so quickly, all because of the varied experiences/activities they have provided for her. Choosing Crawlers to Scholars has been the best decision my husband and I could have made. We truly feel like we hit the lottery with this daycare.
