But then they came back with a price of 550 because they said that they also replaced the pulley and we just found out there's nothing wrong with them. They also claim to be fast, but it took over a week to get them to look at it. Finally, the woman at the counter was nice. However, her husband was extremely rude. I think it's because we didn't go with them to do the work. Maybe he was having a bad day, but I would never choose to do business with someone who is that negative to customers. This is coming from someone who did 25 years customer service in retail.

My mower broke while I was mowing on a Saturday late afternoon so I called Monday morning when they opened and asked if they could pick it up and fix it I also asked if it was still under warranty they said it was one day over on the warranty. I said wow that sucks and asked them to let me know the price before they fix it. I got a call a few days later and they said the motor was blown and it was 5 or 6 thousand if my memory serves me correctly. I said wow then they told me they were able to replace it under warranty! I was so happy! They brought it back a few days later and it has run like new for the last 3 years. Thank you Taplin!

Called Taplin, they were able to pick it up the next day. Eric called after checking it out and the said the motor was blown. Of course was 2 months out of warranty, he said would call Ariens and see what he could do. Because of Eric's perseverance they replaced the motor, at no charge to us. Our heartfelt thanks to Eric, and to kudos to Taplin for having such a dedicated person on their staff.

It seems like unless you have a commercial mower they do not want your business. Little did he know I also have two Scag turf tigers and a Toro mower. I will take my business elsewhere. I…read morehad a hunch they carried commercial grade lawn fertilizers that professional landscape services use. I was damn right, and found out the lawn service I used to use bought their exact fertilizer and pesticides from Preco. I walked in and was greeted by a guy named Chris. He was awesome, and answered every question I had, and gave me a bunch of tips. I bought a 50lb bag of commercial grade slow release fertilizer for $29. An amazing price, compared to the Scott's crap everyone sells. They do sales, service, and parts for lawn equipment. Seriously, if you take pride in your lawn, check this place out, instead of using Scott's or paying for a service.

Most recently they took little interest in our somewhat small but important problem with tires for the riding mower we purchased here -- very satisfactorily -- some years back. In fact their only interest seemed to be in getting us to buy a new one. They didn't appear to be at all concerned about our urgency; in fact, they just didn't seem like they cared much. We don't think it's just us -- a neighbor reported almost the same treatment last month. Our next mower/equipment purchased will not come from Goff.
