I put my all into my position, I took pride in helping my students reach their academic goals, meeting and many times exceeding their own expectations. The disconcerting and unbelievable issue that I have with Fowler School District, is that they only paid me half of my monthly salary. My monthly salary should have been slightly over $1200 a month, and I was bringing home slightly over $600 a month. I repeatedly contacted payroll and HR, to dispute the issue, and was either yelled at, transferred to another unknown employee, or completely ignored. I couldn't afford to quit at the time, and my heart would not let me quit on my students. So I struggled for months. Juggling payday loans, coming home to an empty refrigerator, being greeted by eviction notices at my front door. Not knowing what tomorrow would bring, I still got up, went to work, worked hard for my students, and held on until the end of that school year. Penny, from payroll assured me that I would receive a lump sum at the end of the school year, for all funds that I was shorted of, which was more than $3500. I never received my money. I was, however, evicted from my apartment, and left with a significant amount of debt that I accrued while trying to survive on just half of my salary. Fowler School District, gave me the run around until the statute of limitations ran out, so that they wouldn't legally have to pay me my salary. If you or anyone you know is seeking employment with Fowler School District, you should take my review to heart, and ask yourself, if this is an issue you would like to have to deal with personally.

As a parent and community member, this is very troubling to hear. Every student has the right to feel safe, respected, and supported while at school. I strongly encourage the administration to be transparent about how these concerns are being addressed and what measures are being put in place to prevent further incidents. Clear communication and visible action are necessary to rebuild trust with families and ensure that the well-being of all students remains the top priority.

One of my kiddos had a bookfair book stolen during lunch, the school addressed this issue and replaced the book. Coincidentally, the thief was a child that was "not coming back." for the next quarter (what a surprise). The school requires a lot of parent involvement and a lot of science fair and learning/ presentation projects. In addition, there are weekly homework packets that parents have to sign (mostly) when completed. Why? because it encourages parents to be part of the child's learning. First we complain that schools are just "day care" centers for kids and then we complain that the homework is too much and that kids are being held accountable. I am glad both of my kiddos go here and I am even more happy that they are challenged academically... with math and science-- its in the name, people.

When I went there someone kept bullying people and one person told the front office and they handle it right away. The groups are very inclusive and the school often has many different events and activities to participate in.
