I am very disappointed with my experience with this school. In my opinion, the environment can feel…read morevery unethical and unsupportive toward students. The TAs do not always treat students with the level of respect and professionalism they deserve, and concerns can sometimes feel like they are taken personally rather than addressed objectively. What is especially frustrating is the lack of support when students have issues with teachers. Problems and complaints do not always seem to be taken seriously, and situations can feel as though they are simply brushed aside instead of being properly investigated or resolved. I also want to address my concerns regarding one of the sports coaches this season. The coach has come across as unnecessarily mean and disrespectful toward the players. Rather than encouraging and building confidence in the athletes leading up to games, the coaching approach can feel discouraging and bring players down. Players should be given opportunities to prove themselves and feel supported by their coach, not made to feel like they aren't capable or valued. Students and athletes deserve to be treated with respect, encouraged to improve, and given a fair opportunity to succeed. I hope the school takes this feedback seriously and

While the previous staff here cared, a new set of staff members have begun and to my surprise, my son's injury while he attended here was never reported or documented. When I brought up the incidents to the District; to their surprise it was new-news as they were unaware of the dangers and failures of PH Gonzales staff. My son also received various injuries from other children in his classroom- even to the point of his skin being broken as well as bleeding. No report was created or made. Our son's safety became our priority and he is no longer attending. The teachers are tired, overworked and worn out. I would not bring my child here ever again, nor would I suggest parents to. Parents beware.

They are rising up. I don't hear many good things on the principal & to tell you the truth she might want to change careers. Maybe a district super attendant position with no parent/student or human contact? She is above calling back or emailing a concerned parent. BUT the assistant principal, Ms. Chapman, does make up for the principals lacking. She is prompt & courteous. And I thought for a long time she was the principal as she is so involved. She truly loves her job. Many teachers are younger and thus less experienced but they are bright & excited to teach. Many AZ schools are doing this I hear to to pay less for their faculty. Is it true? Not sure. Anyways, one thing this school does & I LOvE them for it is play the national anthem every morning! Nothing like enjoying my days off & being filled with patriotic pride from my kids school down the street. The population is primarily Hispanic. Though many parents don't speak English they are very involved. All school concerts are always a hit. Family orientated for sure. The front office girls deserve an award. All indoor campus is also nice. Again, those front office rock stars, such as Grace, are the gatekeepers at the front of the school & protect our babies as they monitor who enters the building. Hence, you better sign in & get visitor badges before they buzz you in. Thank you Tres Rios! Go Pumas!
