It was completely different at our previous school. Teachers looked happy and excited to be there. Some of the teachers look so miserable!! Especially, ARIANNA BROWN, WHOM TEACHES 1st grade! She has been every parent's nightmare!! She shouldn't be teaching at all. She does things purposefully to hurt a child's feelings it's disturbing. Once you call her out, she stunned and shocked. Teaching is not your calling. Every time I have tried to engage, she has a miserable attitude and look about her. They need to start handing out psych evaluations to these "teachers." Because who can hurt a child's feelings and feel absolutely nothing is beyond disgusting! The school district and principal did absolutely nothing when we requested to move our son out of the classroom. Our request was denied. Now my son is traumatized by ARIANNA BROWN.

While the previous staff here cared, a new set of staff members have begun and to my surprise, my son's injury while he attended here was never reported or documented. When I brought up the incidents to the District; to their surprise it was new-news as they were unaware of the dangers and failures of PH Gonzales staff. My son also received various injuries from other children in his classroom- even to the point of his skin being broken as well as bleeding. No report was created or made. Our son's safety became our priority and he is no longer attending. The teachers are tired, overworked and worn out. I would not bring my child here ever again, nor would I suggest parents to. Parents beware.

Lots of mis-communication between staff (teachers, administrative and bus drivers) My daughter loves this school. It is a charter school. Uniforms are a must and Fridays are Dollar for Duds ($1 to dress casual) the money goes to the school or charities. It needs a lot of work but I know they will improve fast since it is a newer school.

The schools we have dealt with in Arizona have been hard to adjust to because of questionable practices relating to the staff, the curriculum, and grading. We found where we belong at Heritage Elementary. From the curriculum offered to the respect given to students and their families. Students are allowed to be themselves in a welcoming and secure learning environment. The environment at this school allows students to grow and encourages them to strive to be even better. My children regained their confidence thanks to the staff at this school. They felt welcomed from the moment they stepped in the front office: With each staff member we encountered, the welcoming feeling grew even stronger. Ashley, Sharon, Mr. Dye, Mr. Mitchell, and Mrs. Kinsey just to name a few. Thank you for creating such a welcoming learning environment. My child possibly has behavioral issues and ADHD and it was supposed to be his first year in KG but…read moresunburst staff made that experience horrible because it doesn't seem they have staff trained to handle such behaviors and their very quick to give up on your child and call you to deal with it or come get them. If you have a job and you have a child that possibly suffers behavioral issues and they might need extra care and help sunburst is not the school for your child! This is his first year of school and he's an only child so im learning my child too but the fact they were so quick to suspend him and give up because they can't "control him" enraged me. He is 5 and adjusting to all these new things in the world and school life just like the staff. I'm a disappointed parent to say the least and don't recommend this school again if your child has any behavioral needs or ADHD and such..
