I appreciate having an occasional glass of wine, and expect that it's difficult to find a quality wine selection in a small town that probably depends very heavily upon the tourist trade. Frankly, most towns known for heavy tourist traffic usually don't do well when it comes to what they stock in wines -- they usually aren't that impressive. I was truly shocked to see an excellent selection of highly-rated wines, especially for domestic Cabernet Sauvignon. If you enjoy having an excellent wine, this is the place to find it.

He didn't take time to greet us or explain any of his wines to us. Just poured, said which one we were on, and walked away. Our second to last tasting left so much sediment in the bottom of the glass, which we know happens with reds. But we thought surely he would give us a fresh glass for the final pour. Nope. We planned to head back to the shop to buy some of The Wine Shack's label, but we were so disappointed by the tasting experience that we did not.
