We enjoy the friendly atmosphere here. The feedlot odor does come around occasionally but usually doesn't last long. Personally, seldom do I pay attention to the traffic and trains. Since we are from Texas, I thought the concern mentioned was just city folks not being around cattle. Let me say we were hit with the "shog" as the locals call it while sitting outside drinking wine. The shog or sh*t fog was so overwhelming it caused me to become nauseated and the smell of cattle manure penetrates your clothes and hair. We went inside the RV and the smell was still overwhelming even after we closed all windows/vents. Hubby contacted the office and he was told that this year had been the worst. We drove over to the cattle feedlot in Tacna, AZ where the smell originates, which has about 500,000 head per their website. When the wind blows from the south prepare yourself because even a facial mask will not block the stink! The online reviews mentioned the high salt content in the RV park's water. This review also was spot on. The RV Park does offer free reverse osmosis water which does remove some of the salt; however, the water is still very salty. If you use an additional water filter system such as Brita it will remove the remaining salt. We ended up buying bottled water to cook with and drink. When you take a shower the water leaves behind a film of salt. Be sure to use bottled water to brush your teeth or rinse out your mouth. For these concerns alone, we will not be returning to this RV park. This was so disappointing because we love the mountains, the desert, and beautiful sunsets.

I was told by a close friend this was the spot to stay in while commuting to have some dental work done just past the border. My wife and I stayed two nights here. I believe we paid around $270 (with AAA discount) for the two nights which considering with location and amenities offered very reasonable in this day and age. I would say the pros definitely outweigh the cons here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They provide a pretty decent breakfast in the morning as part of your stay. The grounds are kept relatively clean with a nice gated pool, we felt safe here. The location is stellar! Food, shopping, and some entertainment are all within a walking distance from this establishment. Well, depending how hot it is, I guess. There is always that but everything is pretty close to each and more food places to shake a stick at that fits all budgets. As for the cons, at least for our room, everything seemed a bit outdated in the way of furniture and carpet. The bed was fine and slept well. The carpet probably hasn't been changed in the last couple decades at least. The floor had some uneven spot as well (we were on the 2nd floor). The TV setup and service was pretty outdated as well. Felt like I went back to the late 90's. The TV was an old style flat screen and the service used a dedicated guide channel that scrolled the listing. Other than that, that's it. All in all, I would definitely recommend staying here. Price is reasonable, the service is really good. Location is great. Just have to accept and adjust to potential older rooms than you may be use to. 4.5 stars!

Incredibly nice and accommodating front desk staff on phone and in person. Tv wasn't working so called front desk and maintenance was at room within minute's and fixed it. Nice grounds and pool area. i noticed the rug was a little ragged at edge by bathroom. Sitting on the couch I realized it felt a little 'used'. The rest of the room was clean and showed pride of maid staff. HVAc was a little loud for my liking. We left for an evening event and left ac on 'sleep mode' and returned with a particular musty smell upon entering. The noisy HVAAC was too loud to make a restful sleep so I turned off while sleeping. Glad the fan was there as it kept us fairly comfortable with the night temperature around 70. Refrigerator kept turning on and off making noise throughout the night. Couldn't turn it off because son had insulin in there. The breakfast provided in the am was quite adequate. The usuals I personally liked like malt waffles, eggs, yogurt and sausages. They also had hard boiled eggs, pastries bread assortment cereal. The eating area was very clean and kept up nicely by the one person staff there. It would have been hard for me to stay more than one evening here as that's all we needed to stay for our event.

The staff are pleasant & offer you a little scavenger hunt to complete to make the visit more enjoyable. They had a lot of interesting plaques, photos, & items of interest. They also had a nice array of photo props inside the main jail & scattered around the grounds. Additionally, the historical research was very informative of the demographic, climate, and age in which the jail was operational & for some time afterwards. For more insight, I recommend picking up a copy of "Within Adobe Walls" by Pete "Smokey" Dryer in the gift shop on your way out.

How it opened and closed and how it developed through that small period. What you see now is just a portion of the original but you got the picture of how the life in prison back then. In the past, we've always booked the Best Western Yuma Mall. It was time to check out another location. First off, thank you to reception for allowing us to check into our room (since it was ready) 1.5 hours earlier! There is a $15 early check in fee- and totally worth it. But, there is also a decent sized lobby area to relax in. There are designated parking spots out front for Elite Best Western members & motorcycle parking. Tons of luggage dollies to haul your belongings instead of making multiple trips. Convenient sundry shop adjacent to the reception desk for quick lil snacks. Then again- the hotel property is at the tail end of a shopping center w/ tons of restaurants to eat at. I initially booked this property for the suite sized rooms & outdoor pool area. I was too exhausted to enjoy the pool after our motorcycle ride & lunch. I've never booked a suite from Best Western Plus, and this room did the trick. For me, personally- after hundreds of miles on a motorcycle- I need all the extra leg room I can stretch out in. If it wasn't just a quick one night layover- I would have taken advantage of the big fridge! Breakfast buffet starts at 6am on the weekend. The earlier, the better!

Nice gym, nice pool, free breakfast, and unlimited coffee and tea 24/7. You can tell management and the staff here care about the quality of service they provide. This hotel has a very hometown feel to it with how genuinely polite and social everyone is, both the staff and the tenants. Just great energy all around. Hotels in a great location, away from downtown and all the riff raff that comes with it. Plenty of parking, a lot of places in walking distance, and the Applebees right next door provides a discount if you show them a keycard from your room. Also, if you're staying long term; the hotel also provides hot plates, pots and pans; and anything you need for cooking as well. I've stayed in literally hundreds of hotels for work, and this is the only establishment I've ever been to that provided such a service; like I said, you can tell this place really cares about its clientele. Found this place in 2022, 3 years later and I'm still loyal to it. I'll continue being a loyal customer so long as they keep up the amazing work! Highly recommend!
