Countless meals were acquired here as a kid growing up, and now we frequently stop to get a few things to bring back home to Idaho. So far, Western Meat Block blows all of their fellow meat shops out of the water. I love being able to walk in a place and feel like a part of the family. Their customer service is fabulous. But once you buy, cook, and eat the meat from Western Meat Block, you won't forget. Western sells the usual meats--beef, chicken, and pork--but one can also get fresh cheese, fish, sausage, jerky, hamburger, and bread. Always impressed with the products they have on hand as well as the wild meat processing. They did my Deer last fall and it is the BEST venison we have had in a dozen years. We've made special trips to Butte just to go here. Bring your cooler and load up on great meats. They have a ton of different cuts and homemade sausages that are the bomb. Be sure to get the marinade, it's a brown liquid in one of the fridges, and it makes ANY meat taste so good...Its addictive! The guys are great, and it's a fun little store.
