Dr. Perry is one of the most compassionate doctors in this field. She will explain everything to you and walk you through every step. I can't promise if you don't like needles that you will love this office. It's an unfortunate circumstance of the procedure. The staff is all very balanced and coordinated. I caught myself saying wow several times when the doctor and her assistant Sarah were going constantly back-and-forth with the different tools needed and very little discussion was necessary. In the end, it didn't look so good for my tooth, and she gave me some very real options to discuss with my dentist after she sends some great 3-D imaging to him with a detailed letter. She explained that we could do the procedure and it might last a year, or I might choose to have an extraction. She values her work, and she would expect that any work she does would last him a long time if it is to be done properly. My last procedure done in 2001 has given me no problems at all. I always have the option of going back and finishing my procedure if I choose, and I would not have to pay the full fee. This is an example of an A+ office.

Yep, complete panic attack, thought I was going blind, played possum. I also did this at the hairdresser, 5 hours before my ssiter's wedding. I have to stay off WebMD and the like because once I burnt my tongue and convinced myself I had oral thrush brought on by HIV... even though there was NO WAY that this was even REMOTELY possible. I'm a basket case. So, making an initial visit after not going to a dentist for 3-4 years, knowing full well I at best had a broken tooth and at worst must have oral cancer and have to have my jaw removed... I was pretty sure I'd pass right out in the chair. I called on Monday and they were able to get me in that Thursday. I had to get there early to fill out paperwork. Upon walking in, everything was so bright and cheery and the staff was.... cheerful? I don't expect that at any sort of health care facility, mouth, eye or otherwise. Ok, was able to breathe. Got paperwork done, and they took me almost immediately (10 minutes early) for my initial appointment. I wish I could remember the names of the dentist and her wonderful assistant. They had me cracking up from moment one. I was an early appointment, I wish I could remember all the banter going on between the two, but my favorite quote was "we aren't going to take any heroic measures to save it" about my poor broken tooth. I couldn't stop laughing, but they were still able to poke and prod in my mouth, despite the constant giggling. She also was right on top of an issue I've had since my tooth came in... last dentist I went to, I had to explain it to him. Friendly? Check. Clean? Check. Knowledgeable? Check. Freakin hilarious? Check. Turned me from Baby Huey without his bottle back into a sane human? Check check and CHECK! Made me want to go back to the DENTIST? Check! Billing... not cheap, I don't have insurance, but seems pretty reasonable. Gotta pay 300 smackeroos for my wisdom tooth to come out in a few weeks. I was expecting it to be more expensive! I really appreciated that as a brand-new patient, Dr. Bonner took the time to meet with me one-on-one in a quiet office to discuss any concerns, rather than expecting me to discuss fears or problems while lying in treatment chair with lots of other staff around. During treatment, Dr. Bonner was very careful not to cause more pain or discomfort than necessary. The staff at this office was unfailingly friendly and professional. He works on you then goes to another patient which would be fine if he came back in to check on you. Sometimes I have wondered if he was out to lunch. Two days prior to my appointment they told me to get authorization "from a doctor so that they can prescribe antibiotics". In desperation I called my primary care physician, who told me Crestal can prescribe antibiotics. I called Crestal back the next day, told them what the doctor said, and hey presto! All of a sudden they can prescribe - after wasting hours of my time. I am a schoolteacher. I *repeatedly* told Crestal not to call me during school hours. They called me EIGHT TIMES IN TWO DAYS, during school hours. Finally I made it plain to them - I have autistic students, students with no English, I am not permitted to make or receive calls during the school day, so STOP CALLING. The chirpy little twitch on the phone then told me, "Well then! If you won't talk with us when we want, this isn't the office for you, so now your appointment is cancelled!" and SLAMMED DOWN THE PHONE. They're snotty, disrespectful and generally unpleasant. I communicated all of this to my referring dentist, who was happy to refer me to another office. I called that new office and they told me that there should never have been an issue about things 15 years ago, or antibiotics, or any of it, it was all unnecessary. I literally couldn't eat or DRINK anything for two weeks and had extensive issues with the same for a mont. I lost 20 lbs as a result and was only 120 lbs when I went to see him. The graft, especially from the right of my pallet, has permanent nerve damage. I can feel where the graft was to this day and it was 2 years ago. The whole process was difficult and I didn't receive support on what to do with the issues I was having after. I was often not treated as a valued patient. I would seek out a different perio dentist. Before this, I had no fear or hesitation with dentists. Now I am definitely scared on any future work I may need.

When I was young I lived where there were no amusement parks. I came down to visit my sister in CT. She took me to Riverside Park which is now Six Flags New England. Yaz, the receptionist, was so nice and went out her way to get my insurance verified. They had her jumping through hoops. They'd ask her for one thing, and she'd give it to them, and then they'd ask for something else instead of asking her for everything at the same time. I had an appointment in 45 minutes, not only for my chipped tooth, but I had my teeth cleaned by a lovely Russian woman whose name I've forgotten. I'm so sorry. My tooth will be finished with soon and my teeth are so clean. Dr. Eshak is wonderful. He explains things so well. He doesn't talk to you in medical jargon, but he doesn't talk down to you, either.
