I believe they also have BBQ Friday's during the summer where they have hot dogs with all the fix-ins. They make the "not so pleasant" procedures tolerable, almost pleasant. MY HISTORY: In 2017 I was growing tired of my local dentist who had purchased expensive diagnostic machines and was "paying them off" by up-selling me and charging additional for using the machines. So I put the word out to friends by email with the question "Do you love your dentist? Why?" and one friend Charlie came back with: "Yes, I do. KA Kashani dds coast dental care. Office is [humble] but he won't rip you off or make more work for himself like other offices do." MY EXPERIENCE: Yes indeed, these past eight years have been great. Common phrases by Dr Kashani are "let's keep an eye on it", and "if it's not broken why fix it?" and "we don't want to be drill happy" WHY I LOVE IT: he's not trying to up-sell me! His classic office has the basics, and he is open and honest with comments like "if you need a root canal I will refer you". He's re-glued old crowns a couple of times for me. DOES THE DOCTOR KNOW WHAT HE'S DOING? I can certify YES and here is why: for years we were "just keeping an eye" on a dodgy old crown which had a little crack in it. So a doubt might have crept in, "does he know what he's doing? He never seems to do anything other than look at xrays and clean my teeth" Then finally the crown broke, and Dr Kashani WENT INTO ACTION! It took 4 visits (initial diagnosis, making a mold of the tooth, first fitting wasn't perfect, and then finally new crown was fitted) and here is what I learned: Dr Kashani is an experienced expert dentist. When it's time to go into action, he gets the job done. And BEST OF ALL: When the new crown first came back from the lab it was not perfect, with a tiny gap, and although he left the decision to me, he recommended sending it back to get it perfect, to "avoid problems down the road". I wholeheartedly agreed, and appreciated his making sure it was right for the long run. Sure, I had to make another visit, but I love visiting Coast Dental! WENDY: She's the usual dental assistant / hygienist. Always kind and happy, it's a joy to have her work on me. ROSA: The normal receptionist when I go on Wednesdays. Her telephone calls the day before to remind me of my appointments are greatly appreciated. Usually I already remembered, but sometimes (like last time) I had totally forgot! CONCLUSION: Want a classic well-trained and highly-experienced dentist who won't try to rip you off? Coast Dental and Dr Kashani is an excellent choice.

I asked for antibiotics and was told I didn't need them. My gums got infected and I had to go to another dentist. I am currently paying Dr T $900 for those two teeth. He said it cost more because he did a bone graft. He did not do a bone graft. Please beware he is a con artist who is just upselling implants for $30,000.
