I needed to go through their taxes on the computer and found out that they took the drive to this local shop to get fixed because it said it had a virus on the screen. Not only did they charge them $1000 dollars, they said that they could not get the data off of it. They sent them home with the drive. I pulled the drive from the box and hooked it back up in the pc. Not only did I get it on, I removed the spyware and was only to get it back up and running no problem. I called the store and asked them about the charge and lies my elderly folks were told. I being IT in Washington, was to fix in under 30 minutes. I was told they could not do anything about it. I was then forwarded to the owner, Brent Jackson. This guy blamed my father saying he must have done something to the drive. After I told him that I was in IT and fixed it in 30 minutes, he gaslit me. He laughed at me. I suggested that he watch who he was dealing with. He told me that he his in the business for 20 years and knows everything there is to know about recovery and the disc was shot. I did not tell him I work for Microsoft and that I will be talking within our legal department about recourse. I filed a complaint with the AG, and contacted the BBB about the fraudulent charge. I brought it in, they tested it and it was faulty and they were gonna recover the data. After 3 weeks of hearing nothing I called and they said they dont have my hardrive and never heard of me. They ghosted me, never returned my calls and The customer service is lowest quality. I am taking legal matters now. I have proof that they accepted my hardddive and I have video and witnesses of when I dropped it off. I have also talked to some friends in the Missoula area that have had bad experiences with them.
