I am so happy to have found this place after my usual groomer left the state. They are friendly and accommodating. They trim my nails in between grooming for free. They make me smell great and feel like a whole new pup. I don't get a cheesy kerchief but I leave smelling great for days. I can only pay in cash or check but that's ok bc these guys are cheaper than other places. I tip them well. They treat me really well too. Look at my before and after pics. I've been taking Raja & Rocket to them since they opened up in Westchester and they are FABULOUS! They are always accommodating in their scheduling- open Tues to Sat. They take the time to get to know the quirks of your pets and cater to them :) I have one dog who has a meltdown if he can't see his "brother" so they keep them close by. All in all the services are great and the prices are reasonable. For grooming for our spaniel ( wash, hair trim, nails trimmed, check for earmites, cleaning of the anal glands) comes out to about $40+tip Turn around time is great too. This groomer is the best.! Our dog LOVES this shop. Before we took our dog to a different high end groomer in Western Springs and she did not want to go into the shop. She would shake and cry as soon as we pulled up to this old salon. At Westchester Doggery, she starts wagging her tail and happily goes into the shop. This husband/ wife team are fantastic with the dogs. The grooming is outstanding too. We have been taking our dog here every month for about a year, our dogs hair cut is always consistent and she looks great. I strongly recommend Westchester Doggery. This place is horrible. I brought my dog in to get just his nails trimmed and one of the groomers was cutting a small tea cup yorkie. This groomer was so mean to the tiny dog, brushing so hard and said "oh stop your whining" the poor dog was crying and so helpless. If you are reading this and your take your dog there - DO NOT!!!! They do an amazing job here!!! I have a huskey mix that had a crazy undercoat and asked for him to be shaved (not a normal request with such a dog). They did a great job and I couldn't be more pleased!! I also have a toy poodle that they did a great job with as well! I used to take a Shepard mix and a full breed huskey before they passed here as well. They have never disappointed! Reasonable prices....you can always stop in after to get their nails trimmed or a quick trim of hair out of their eyes for no charge. Highly recommend Westchester Doggery!! read more

They always do a great grooming and follow my specific instructions, as my dog has sensitive skin.

I have taken my dog there twice now and they do decent work. They don't seem to have much range. It was either a short cut or a trim nothing between. A greater concern is that mostly they give you a 4-hour window. I dropped him off at 10:00 and they said to pick him up at 2:00. The problem is that if they finish sooner that 4 hours your pet has to be crated until you come. It would be nice if they instituted a policy of calling the customer when your pet is finished. Then you could come and get your pet right away. They don't let them out or walk them and my pet must have peed for 2 or 3 minutes before he got in the car! I do not like the thought of him being in crate unnecessarily or longer than he needs to be. They need to get better about that. read more

This is a great place to take your pet for a nail trim or for the full grooming works. The prices are reasonable and the staff is great! My dog has fear aggression (when he is afraid, he gets very aggressive). My vet refused to trim my dog's nails saying it wasn't worth getting bit or peed on. His receptionist recommended that I try Westchester Doggery. Immediately after leaving his office, I drove there and explained what had happened. My dog was still scared from the vet visit, but they calmed him down and trimmed his nails, including his dew claws which had started to curve into his pads. Since then my dog has returned many times for nail trims and baths. He still doesn't like having his nails trimmed and isn't fond of getting baths, but he is always happy and looks and smells great when I pick him up. The staff is always friendly and my dog is always ready on time. I highly recommend them. read more

We just picked up our Retired Racing Greyhound Ellie Mae Bones from Westchester Doggery. Ellie had the full service bath and nail trim. She looks beautiful and Very Happy. We had such a wonderful experience. From drop off this am @ 9:30 till and pick up at the promised time of 1:30pm Staff was so friendly and gentle with our Ellie. If you have a dog and it needs grooming at a reasonable price call and make an appointment you won't regret it. We are sure happy we brought Ellie here. read more
