Gary and his crew were amazing and a pleasure. Our project was reasonable priced and completed in a timely fashion. What hubs and I truly wanted to do was bring a fresh look to our galley kitchen floor without…read morehaving to renovate the entire space. But, we found out our old laminate flooring was buckling due to a slow dishwasher leak, had to be repaired badly. The floor led to other problems and those problems led to a gut job. Let's talk about tiles. Sam's is small but has a lot of merchandise to choose from. Carmine (owner?) was all ears when we selected brand new Subway tiles for our new job plus he gave us some aesthetic advice (thank you Carmine, but we have a style already). One of the things hubs and I appreciated the most was that even when we questioned him about whether or not we should get an extra box of floor tiles to add to our existing 7 boxes we'd purchased back in April '21, for that "just in case" moment, Carmine wasn't hard-selling us into buying another case of tiles. Nothing but nice things to write about. And may I mention, Carmine was awesome.

I have nothing but love for Bill and Carmine at Sams Ceramic in White Plains. I walked into the…read moreshowroom completely out of the blue one afternoon for advice on a poorly installed kitchen floor. I wasn't even planning to purchase tiles. Bill listened to my concerns and immediately began to educate me on how to determine if the floor was installed the right way and how I would be able to correct what had been done. Bill was genuinely interested in making sure I had the right information about tiles, the installation process and different techniques to get the best results. In the end, I had to remove everything down to the subfloor but I am so happy that I did because I will now avoid years of continuously having to repair a bad floor. Bill worked with me to pick the best floor tile for the design and price I wanted. He also met with my new contractor to make sure the floor would be installed correctly. It was such a good experience as a customer that I went back to get my counter and backsplash tiles. Bill was able to get all the products to me lightening fast and the quality was even better than I expected. Bill's expertise, compassion and great sense of humor helped me get through what started out as a nightmare. I now have a kitchen that I absolutely love! He and Carmine earned both my trust and my loyalty. I cant imagine working with anyone else in the future.

Fernando and his team created my dream office that was beyond my expectations. Fernando is kind,…read more listens to you, supports your vision and delivers exactly what he says he will do and more. He is honest, his prices reasonable, and he truly cares for his work and making you happy. When we first started I felt overwhelmed by the sheer amount of work that needed to be done to renovate a 30 year old dentist office with 7 rooms to a modern beautiful spa like Acupuncture office. Everything needed to be gutted and replaced. We had to demo everything to its bones, tear up carpets and tiles, remove large pieces of walls in each room and then rebuild walls, doors, replace flooring, lights and everything to modernize and give it that spa like feeling. I was stressed....Until I talked with Fernando and we discussed the project and plans going forward. There are some people that instantly make you feel calm, relaxed and like everything is going to be okay. Fernando is one of those people. He is a true gift. The calm I felt was continually delivered over the time of the renovation as his team quickly went to work and my office moved along exactly along the time table he projected. I never saw people work so hard, fast, and efficiently. I trusted Fernando and his team 100%. I always felt heard and listened to, even as we assess and changed quite a few things through the process. I truly can't recommend Fernando enough, he made what I imagined a hellish process, easy, simple and relatively stress free.

Fernando and his crew did an incredible job and I owe it to homeowners in Westchester to write this…read morereview. Top quality, reasonable price, incredibly fast, and on top of all that nice and easy to work with. For more detail I should write some background. When we moved to Croton in 2019, we had plans for updating and customizing our home. We tried really hard to find good contractors, having had bad experiences in the past. Unfortunately we kept having one bad experience after another. Bad quality, unfinished work, open permits, huge delays, big increases in cost from the estimates, and in general headaches for us to deal with. Fernando came in and fixed all our problems. Other contractors took 3 months to grade, install a basic stone wall, and dig a hole for a rain garden. Then they quoted us $45k to finish the work. When we said that was too high they left us with a mess. Fernando took 6 days to do that same work for half the cost. Then on top of that he fixed a huge mistake the other crew made on the rain garden and installed a good system that makes us much more confident our home is protected from big storms. The whole time he was much more transparent about materials and cost and timing than anyone else we dealt with. We're hoping that he's available for all our future projects and so happy that we finally found such a great contractor. Don't hesitate to choose Vista Construction, and you're welcome to visit our place anytime if you want to see how nice his walls look. One of them is even half his work and half the other crew for a perfect comparison.

Without question the worst customer experience of our life. KBS let us down at all levels, from…read moresales, to project management, to general management, to shoddy contractor work, and especially ownership. What's most confusing is the owner's complete lack of interest over the more than 6 months we went through this ordeal. He spoke to us twice, once when the problems started and then once at the end in an attempt to avoid bad reviews. He either didn't read or didn't care about the many emails we sent to him about our situation, since we never received responses or even acknowledgement. He simply did not care about helping fix the large quantity of problems we experienced. Again, worst customer experience of our life. Avoid KBS Kitchen.

Warning: Avoid KBS at all costs…read more I hired KBS for what was supposed to be a straightforward kitchen renovation. Prior to engaging and giving my initial deposit, they promised an estimated 12-16 weeks of total construction time. We are currently in week 24 with an additional estimated time to complete of 10-12 weeks due to cabinet delivery (which may have further delays). Even after the initial 12 weeks, the project was still in the beginning stages with no clear schedule, accountability, or progress. When questioned about the cabinet delay, they blamed "lack of workers after COVID " --which is not a valid excuse nearly five years later. After speaking with multiple other contractors in the area, I learned my experience is not unique. Other clients have kicked KBS out mid-project and switched contractors to salvage the work. I was also told there is an active lawsuit against KBS for unfinished projects. Several contractors confirmed that KBS significantly overcharges, including upcharging for the same cabinets that other suppliers sell at much lower prices. For comparison, (another local contractor) told me this same project should take 2-3 weeks maximum, and a separate local cabinet company in Westchester confirmed that I'm not the first client who came to them after a failed KBS renovation. This has been a nightmare for my family --costly, stressful, and completely mismanaged. With all this being known, the Company has not taken any action to help accommodate or offer any resolution. As a consumer, we understand there are delays in projects. But the major issue I have is the continuous false information, lack of care for their customers and treatment they've given to us as a family that includes 2 little toddlers that have gone through this whole process and KBS does not care Please take this as a serious warning: do not hire KBS.
