I've been spoiled. Twice now I have called and ordered flowers directly from the owner herself (unheard of, I know!). Lia is lovely and does exactly as I wish without ever trying to upsell. When I mentioned the flowers could be delivered a few days prior to Mother's Day, she advised against it: the forecasted rain might damage them, so she would wait until Saturday. I ordered flowers for a co-worker's Mom's funeral..see the photos of what was supposed to be (on the left, an actual photo from Lia's website) and (on the right) what was actually delivered..IT IS A TRAVESTY. Our mission to send an arrangement to a bereaved, much beloved and loyal employee. Lia's mission ? you be the judge 1. Lia "accidentally" sent the invoice to the bereaved woman!!!..Lia's excuse - "she is on the account, should I take her off of the account?" Lia purports to be someone in business for a long time, it's not hard to remove a recipient from an email.. she should know better...she said that the co-worker had indeed "worked with her a lot before" and the co-worker "knows how much the arrangement is by looking at it", getting the invoice "wasn't a big deal"..TACKY sending the invoice to the recipient of the gift. IT GETS WORSE 2. During the conversation I learned that Lia was upset that my co-worker chose another florist for the major arrangements..going into detail re. the history of their friendship, how long she has known my co-worker, how many smaller arrangements Lia had done and "now when its her Mom's funeral she goes with someone else" MAJOR TACKY.. why would she involve me in this ?? UNPROFESSIONAL . 3. then she spelled a word wrong on the card, I believe again intentional..TACKY but as you can see by the pix she wasn't finished yet. 4. this arrangement looks as if GOD KNOWS WHO put it together..on the side of a dusty road picking weeds during the Depression but we know who LIA PUT THIS TOGETHER - SHE ADMITTED SHE DESIGNED IT..look at the massive amount of greenery as compared to the flowers...where are the flowers? My boss sat and looked at it.. we all did...It seems as if Lia did this OUT OF ANGER BECAUSE SHE LOST OUT ON A COUPLE OF DOLLARS??? THIS WAS MY CO-WORKER'S MOTHER'S FUNERAL!!! where is Lia's compassion? .. In the past month our co. has ordered 3 arrangements from Lia..she was great for the first two.. sending pictures of the arrangement before delivery. BUT this one -no picture because she knew how PALTRY and SCANT the arrangement was. SHAMEFUL. zoom in you will see wilted roses SHAMEFUL our co. will never use this florist again. It is inconceivable that you would be so UNPROFESSIONAL ..does this look like a $180 floral arrangement? does this look like the website pic below that is designated "as shown" the one I talked to Lia about in detail? the one we paid for? Was relieved to find a florist nearby with strong reviews on Yelp to order a $75 arrangement for a special occasion. Unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. I was definitely expecting more flowers for this price point and not so many green leaves - was probably almost twice as many flowers. Not only that, a number of the leaves were chewed up from bugs. Not only that, the arrangement was terrible. All the flowers were individually spread around, which made it look cheap. Next time, use a smaller vase to accommodate the flowers instead of using a large vase and filling it up with leaves. Arrangement looks nothing like pictures others have posted or samples of what a similar priced bouquet would be - very disappointed. The only thing they got right was being cordial on the phone and delivering it on time. Maybe it's a one time thing, but I would not order or recommend from my experience. read more

I want to like them. I really do. But I have rarely gotten good flowers from them. I've had to return flowers that were delivered broken and dead, (and they actually asked for the original arrangement back when delivering a new one, despite the pics I sent! ) I've received flowers from them that look nothing like the pictures they were supposed to look like, (all purple orchids came in hideous fake blue instead!) and this Valentine's Day my hubby brought home an expensive wacky looking arrangement from them (exotics mixed with hydrangeas and tulips thrown in... just weird) and it was amusing I guess, but I was then upset when most of them were dead in 4 days. Unfortunately they are so local that anyone who sends me flowers through an online service ends up sending through Westbury Florist and they are just not good. Not fresh. Not elegantly designed. Cheap looking, And they just don't last. I will say I once got a cute orange colored floral arrangement that kinda lasted a week, but that too looked nothing like what was supposed to be delivered. I have used Westbury Florists twice, and it is amazing. This was a happy new year arrangement. I asked the designer to use red and pink roses, but add her creativity for filler. She did not disappoint. Every flower is still in wonderful shape 6 days later. The room still has that flower fragrance. This business is the reason I pay a little more for an established florist over a grocery or other business that does flowers on the side. This review is long overdue!!! Westbury Floral Designs was the best thing to happen to my wedding (November 2015). I didn't have tons of flowers because I wanted to keep things simple but elegant. I also saw a design I had in mind for my centerpieces and bouquets and they blew me away. They went beyond my expectations and everything was so beautiful. The service was excellent, very hands on and there was open communication until the day of my wedding. I came across this location via Thumbtack and was given an estimate that same day after I explained what I wanted. All my questions were promptly answered and any adjustments or edits that had to be made were handled efficiently and within the same day. They even took the time to work with me and my budget. The people here are very professional and efficient! The day of the wedding Lia delivered my flowers to my room and I fell in love with the arrangements... They were so beautiful... and Lia was amazing... She was my main contact person from the beginning, she brought my flowers over... and she even sent me a picture of the tables and cake (she put real flowers on my wedding cake - it was a last minute add on and she made it look extra gorgeous!!!) before she left the venue. The most outrageous poor quality of service I have ever experienced. I attempted to purchase a small premade arrangement for my mom's grave, this was the first Valentines day without her, when the Owner clearly and numerous times said she didn't care because it was 9:40 and they didn't open until 10 am.
